Bought tickets online

Bought tickets online, but within the hour found out that we couldn't attend due to a family emergency. Attempted to cancel immediately, with plenty of time and while tickets were tickets being sold, but didn't hear back for several days. Followed up and was told that tickets had been sold out well in advance and there was no opportunity to resell in time. This excuse simply wasn't true - even after my initial request to cancel, I could see that they were still selling tickets online. I explained this clearly, but have been completely ignored. I even offered to accept something else, like tickets to another show rather than a refund, which seems reasonable, but haven't heard back.

An absolute unwavering refund policy is ridiculous. Things happen to people unexpectedly that change plans. That's just life. As long as you're given enough notice, you should use some discretion to do the decent thing. And you definitely shouldn't completely ignore people after taking their money.

Top night out!

I’ve lived in Clapham for years and was invited to Comedy Carnival for a friend’s birthday at The Grand. What a show! I knew the venue and was aware they had comedy there but I was blown away to see two TV comedians and a side-splitting comedy magician! My boyfriend loves comedy and we'd seen the first act on Live at The Electric and the second act on Live at The Apollo. We couldn’t have really asked for much more on a birthday night night – laughter, lots of drinks and dancing! We even managed to get some photos with the magician Pete Firman afterwards :)
