Commander One is a file manager for Mac, a Finder like program to copy, delete, compress/uncompress files, connect to an FTP server, etc. However, Commander One can do much more than Finder, e.g. search for files with specific pattern across all drives and archives, mount MTP and iOS devices, view processes in the system, etc.

Commander One is my go-to for everything.

"I’ve been using Commander One for both daily tasks and managing my websites via FTP, and honestly? It’s a beast! Super fast, rock-solid, and looks great too. I’ve tried plenty of other apps, but this one is hands down the best. If you’re a power user, go for the Pro version – it’s worth every penny. Even the free version is more than enough for basic home use. Highly recommended!"

An excellent alternative to Finder

An excellent alternative to Finder. It's probably the best app I've ever used. It works flawlessly even on the latest Macs. The free version uses the Terminal included with Mac for command operations, but the Pro version has a built-in Terminal within the app. This makes it a true all-in-one solution for network operations. I highly recommend purchasing and using the Pro version.

best chose best

I run an automotive services business (Wash & Drive / Pro DetailX) and we use several Macs daily.
Commander One is a solid dual-pane file manager for macOS and Apple Silicon – fast navigation,
good handling of archives and remote storage, and a clean interface.

I also appreciate the quick and helpful communication from Electronic Team support,
who assisted me with a business discount option.

Overall, Commander One feels like a professional tool we can rely on.

Commander One is a great replacement…

Commander One is a great replacement for Finder on the Mac.
It's more flexible in how it can transfer and copy data. Along with the ability to access Android devices something that Finder cannot do.
Overall a great tool

Not for all my work

I miss some functions:
- You can't compare two files.
- Sometimes I can find some people they works with WIN. If you share a memorystick, the .ds_store files are not helpfull for them. It's easy to block this with a terminal command. But this works only inside the Finder, in this App it's doen't work.
- Change default program for opening works only in Finder.
So there is a lot you must do in Finder!

No better than finder app

The app is no better than finder on Mac, in fact its worse as it does not have Miller View (even though it does on Windows). The support documents are only written from Microsoft Windows user's perspective and the company are not particularly pleasant to deal wtih.

IMO the best 2-panel file manager for Mac

I have been using CO for several months on my Mac. I have tested several dual-panel applications until now and found CO very a user-friendly, easy to use, quick in action and veeeeery stable application. It is also very easy to find and display contents of files I need, to sort, execute or delete them. I like working with apps that have a eye-pleasant and well thought-out interface and consider Commander One as such a program. That is why I would like to recommend that application to everyone that want to work quickly and efficiently with their files in a Mac system :)

A good app, but it can be even better!

Commander One is a cool manager and I have been using it for several years! This software speeds up file management but needs an option to hide the second pane, which I rarely use. Allowing pane toggling would make it more versatile for different workflows. Thanks!

It's easy to transfer files

I found this file manager in the App Store. It's really handy! You can easily move files to external drives, flash drives, phones, etc. You can even connect a camera!
