I hired Complete Van Lines to do my move from Seattle to Boston. I paid $1,100 deposit. Move was scheduled for 10/02/2021. Complete Van Lines cancelled my move the day before and told me my deposit would be returned. It is 08/14/2022 and I still do not have my deposit. I have made an official complaint to the Florida Prosecutor Office and will be suing them for my money back. This company is a SCAM and they will steal your money

Don’t use or believe the good reviews…

Don’t use or believe the good reviews they probably paid for them. They said they would give me a refund that was Aug 2021. Better Business Bureau didn’t help. Filed with the Florida Attorney General’s Office. Looking at how to do small claims from Oregon. DON’T USE THEM!!!!

Complete Van line is a contractor not a moving company. They will give you a quote based on an estimate of your inventory. Then they sell you to a subcontractor. A few days before moving they will call to go over the list and inform you the you underestimated or added to your list and jack up the price at that time or on the day of move, 5 times in my case. So do not waste your time or money, especially if you have a big out of state move. Be aware of their claimed flat fee Platinum Service, which means nothing. Check the Best Business Bureau website for many cases similar to mine.

The WORST experience I have ever had in…

The WORST experience I have ever had in moving, which means a lot because moving sucks. I dealt with Frank Larosa initially, who swore to me that they could pick up my stuff, and deliver with in two days (I was moving from San Diego to Las Vegas, so around 350 miles). I had gotten several quotes, one of which was $600 cheaper because they admitted they could not guarantee my stuff would arrive by a certain date. Frank assured me they were not like that, and that they would pick up my belongings on 6/18, and deliver on either 6/20 or 6/21. He also told me that if I was going to use bags to keep my clothes on the hangers that would be no problem (the competitor told me that would not be possible, and all clothes needed to be boxed).
Well on 6/17, I had not received any call from the moving company to confirm the time to expect them on 6/18, so I began calling them. I was then told they brokered my move out to another company, and that company informed me they would not be arriving until 6/19, and that my clothes must be boxed or they would not take them. Because the complex I moved to was closed on Sundays I needed to get on the road on Saturday in order to sign the paperwork and get my keys, so my old roommate had to make sure to be home to let the movers in.
Complete Van Lines wouldn't do anything to help. They told me Frank had passed away so they could not verify what he said. It was too late to find another moving company, so I had to suck it up and buy some boxes to pack my clothes, at the last minute. On the day of the move, they were supposed to arrive by 10am, but as of 1pm they had not even called to say they were on the way, so I told my roommate to go on about her day, and that I'd have to find another way to move my belongings.
They called her at 3pm (again for a pick up that was supposed to be before 10am!!!!), and luckily she was home. They did not arrive however until 6pm! They told her that I would have to call in and pay the rest of the money owed before they would deliver my stuff, and the best part my stuff would be arriving in "hopefully a week or two".
Again what I was promised was a blatant lie! Complete Van Lines still stood by the fact that Frank is dead, so they cannot verify what he may have promised me. My stuff arrived about a week later, meanwhile I had to buy clothes and household goods because there was no firm date as to when my things would arrive. I contacted Complete Van Lines and requested some sort of compensation for the lies, inconvenience and overall bad service and have been completely ignored. Do yourself a favor, and stay FAR away from these crooks.

This company is a fraud

Company who showed up to do move has been indicted by FBI for fraudulent practices. However, even after I refused services when local company wanted to double the cost of move from $2000 to $4000, Complete van lines refused to refund my deposit or send a replacement. Folks, look on BBB... 24 claims of fraud. Don't use them

Abysmal doesn't do it justice.

We were told we'd move on Monday or Tuesday, and get a call Saturday. That never happened. We were contacted Monday evening and told they'd arrive between 9 and 12, but they didn't show up until well after 1PM... In a rented truck, and each person had a different company name on their shirt.

Because nobody bothered to come walk through our home, the estimate we were initially given was just over half of the actual cost.

When we booked, we were assured no less than three times that the crew that arrived would load our things, follow us to the new house, and then unload us. When they got here, they told us it would be "up to 21 days". Since they were so late I already knew we wouldn't unload same day - but 3 weeks?! We had planned and packed for just a couple of days without most of our belongings! But what could we do? My new job started in less than a week and everyone else was booked through the next month! So we hurriedly repacked several boxes to ensure we had a couple extra sets of clothes and other essentials, all while the driver shook his head about how long it was taking.

We called customer service and that's when we met the brick wall they've built made out of apathy and sheer incompetence. I'm not exaggerating or being dramatic when I say I've met toddlers with better manners than their phone reps. *IF* they answer the phone, they will talk over you, tell you you're lying, threaten to hang up if you question them, and the list goes on. If they don't answer and you leave a message, you can be assured that it's simply a black hole and nobody will ever listen to it.

We were promised that a supervisor would call us back. We had to endure two days and multiple such promises before that actually happened - because she was conveniently never in the office when we asked. She promised to look into everything and that's the last we ever heard from her. Despite over a week and over a dozen more assurances that they'd reach out, it never happened.

We continued to call and just ask for an ETA but they were so completely infuriating every time. Most of the time they wouldn't even confirm that they had our belongings!

Finally we got a call from the crew delivering our things. We were told they'd arrive between 3 and 6PM. They didn't show up until after 7, and then simply refused to unload because it was raining. So they promised to return at 7AM - and to noone's surprise were late! Oh, but they had enough time the night before to make sure and remind us that we still owed the final payment.

This crew was really something else. Again it was a rented truck, and not a one of them had any sort of official attire. We're still finding boxes in the wrong places. Despite using colored stickers on each box and the rooms here, they just couldn't grasp the concept that "blue box = blue room". We are missing several boxes, and the driver insisted we sign that everything was there because "that's everything they gave him". When we refused, he said he didn't care and they left.

They left trash everywhere. In each room, strewn around our yard, we keep finding more garbage they just hid away instead of dealing with it.

Oh, but we did eventually find one missing box... They had left it next to our trash can. Out in the rain. This had to be deliberate since the can was nowhere near a door or our garage, the box was clearly labeled, and far too heavy to have been mistaken as empty. They just decided to throw our things out.

Needless to say we're exploring every option for claims and complaints, and we will absolutely never consider this brokerage again.
