Worth a try from 3/26 to roughly 5/11/26

Agreed to wear meter, was happy about it. Everyone living in house has to wear one. Two adults with busy schedules either misplaced or forgot to wear or charge them. I got calls constantly. I told Neilson I was going on vacation for 4 days. Alerting them was supposed to prevent calls. I got calls everyday on vacation . The last straw was Mothersday I got a call while out. As soon as I opted out I was locked out of my app. I started March 26 and was paid $50 second week of May. My husband got $30. I tried to message them to see if children could take over adults position but no response. I was told a return package would be sent to me. Last message was asking if I had everything to return items but as of today still no return package. It was cool to have had a chance, wish it could have worked out.

Still not Received Amazon Voucher

Hello Sir/Madam,
I participated in the Nielsen Streaming Panel online survey and redeemed 6000 points on 1/5/2025 (1st May) for an Amazon Voucher for Rs 500/-, but I have not received it till now. Despite dropping a couple of emails, I have not heard from them. The points got deducted, but the Amazon Voucher is still pending. Is this a genuine website?
Thanks,

Don’t do it!

I deeply regret ever signing up for Nielsen TV ratings. They hook you in by sending cash upfront, making it seem quick and easy, then suddenly you’re stuck dealing with piles of cumbersome equipment, constant monitoring, and an overall frustrating process that becomes a complete nuisance in your daily life.

The wearable monitors are especially ridiculous. They expect you to carry these awkward devices around constantly, then try to motivate compliance with “sweepstakes” entries where your chances of actually winning anything are extremely slim. It feels manipulative more than rewarding.

On top of that, they constantly bug you with reminders, calls, and follow-ups. They even have local reps who want to “stop by” your house, which just makes the whole thing feel even more intrusive.

What sounded simple turned into an annoying, invasive experience that absolutely was not worth the minuscule amount of cash they send. If I had known how inconvenient and irritating this process would be, I never would have agreed to participate in the first place.

Deceptive

They kept mailing me over and over, then eventually started calling me too. From the beginning, the whole process felt misleading especially when it came to the pay. They wouldn’t even tell me how much I’d be making before trying to get me to commit to wearing their meter, which was a red flag. They won’t tell you and pretend they don’t know because if the tell you that all this work is worth $5.00 per week, you’d hand up the phone!

I had already put time into it, they sent an email regarding that they are ended my participation because I told them that if I accumulate 700-800 points at the end of the week that I had been busting my butt the entire week to get, gets me the same amount of money at the end of the week that another person who does the bare minimum of 400 points, what’s the purpose of going over and beyond for more money when you’re not honoring the extra points. They give you the runaround about being entered into this fake sweepstakes that nobody wins just to keep you doing their survey. So I decided to do the bare minimum and they didn’t like that and decided to retaliate by sending me an email to remove me from the panel and return equipment. Thanks you did me a favor!

The entire experience was very time-consuming, and honestly just disrespectful after months of reporting data. They expect you to give up a lot of personal information and wear a tracking meter everywhere you go — all for just $ 20 monthly check.

On top of that, they will call you constantly, especially if multiple people in your household are involved. Everyone ends up putting their meters on the charger at the same time they will begin calling you nonstop just to tell you that they feel like something fishy is going on in your household and reminding you that you are the only one who is supposed to wear your meter!

The pay is definitely not worth the level of access they expect. Between the lack of transparency and how invasive everything is, it honestly feels more like a scheme to collect personal data than legitimate research. I wouldn’t recommend doing it. You do the math $20 for 12 months = $240.00 NOT WORTH IT!!!!

If I could give this business 0 stars I…

If I could give this business 0 stars I would.

They mailed me repeatedly and then started calling me, and throughout the entire process they were incredibly misleading about the pay. They would not disclose how much I would be getting compensated before asking me to commit to wearing their meter. That alone felt deceptive.

After I had already invested time into this, they sent me an “opportunity” to receive a $50 bonus — except the deadline had already passed by the time I received it. Completely unacceptable.

The process was intrusive, time-consuming, and frankly rude. They expect you to provide extensive personal information and wear a tracking meter everywhere you go… all for $5 a week. Five dollars. For that level of data collection and inconvenience? It’s ridiculous.

The compensation does not match the intrusion. The lack of transparency about pay is a huge red flag. The entire experience felt exploitative and like a scheme to harvest personal information under the guise of “research.”

Do not do it.

Not honest

Just received an email removing me from the panel due to not scanning enough, we scanned every receipt as requested and have just taken a £50 reward card, so I find this very disappointing and as such will not be recommending this to anyone, lots of input for little reward.

Pays depending on how much you wear their little recording device. UP to 8 dollars a month. So we did it for a few months - not for the money, but just for s's and giggles - thought it might be fun. but then they're adamant that my 6 year old daughter wear one? i think one of us - my wife, myself and my daughter - one of us got the full $8 for wearing it, and then the others would get $6 or $4 or $2. and then toward the end, noone would wear it, and nielsen sent 1 check for $2. which - really? BUT, let's be realistic - we didn't do it for the money.

so then for a number of reasons, we decide to stop participating, and i ask them to send me the label so i can ship the things back. and then 2 weeks later, i call back to follow up because it's still not there, and that guy tells me it'll be another 3-5 business days. then i call back and wouldn't you know, it's still not in the mail. but it will be that day, they say, and again - can't provide the tracking, sorry that's a different department.

and all the while, the things beep when they're not moving and not plugged in, i'm just a garbage storing facility for nielsen, now?

Hard to get points

Hard to get points. Token games are worthless. Never win more than 5 points per game. Clearly rigged. Sweepstakes is a joke. I like being able to redeem points for quick gift cards though. Only reason for 3 stars.

Nielsen usually wants free review

Nielsen usually wants free review. I've encountered many instances where I completed my surveys only to be told I wasn't eligible to take the review. I don't understand why they waited until completion and not informed us upfront. Are they becoming a bankrupt company or what?

Been with them on PC and phones a couple years and referred family. EVERYTIME I redeem points I NEVER receive the email to redeem. I always contact them and they send email to redeem with bunk links that do not work. This has gone on with PlayStation gift cards 10 bucks a piece nothing huge and now a visa virtual card cause I was afraid to bother with PlayStation again. Well same issue. All on site they ask for is checked. All addresses added to my contacts and still nothing. Only email I get is to leave reviews on redeeming I never receive. Today is last time asking for help redeeming before I ask my family to remove it and myself. This has felt like a scam a long time now and I stayed hopeful longer than I should have. I feel all the high stars for this company is not truthful. Done with it.

i do not get reminder emails about the surveys so i miss out on them as one is available on a weekly basis so cannot do them when i want or remember to. also it is never made clear when the deadline on the last day is in terms of the time as anyone would assume that you can complete the survey before midnight if that certain day is the last day to do it within the 2 day time frame. in response to your reply here, now editing this, i can say that i preiously tried getting in touch with you about this issue and you told me that you dont or cannt send reminders for these surveys. the rest of my review still applies as i missed the deadline when i was not told the time of the day i had to complete a survey by. anyone would assume it would be by the end of the day but the survey was closed way before then so i missed out.

NIELSEN HAVE REMOVED ALL BONUSES!

Been with Nielsen for many years! l used to earn enough points each month to order a £10 voucher which is fair considering l have the app running in the background on my smartphone and laptop! But then they informed me that my monthly points would be increasing but they didn't inform me that all of my monthly bonuses were going to disappear! This means instead of receiving enough points to order a £10 voucher each month l now have to wait FIVE months to receive enough points to order a £10 voucher! There is no point now for me to have the NIELSEN app on my phone and laptop as it's just not worth it anymore!

A response to the reply from Nielsen: l have already contacted them and they just sent a nonsense reply! Nothing has changed!

Stop using job applications for your surveys

I applied for the position of Senior Executive at NielsenIQ & didn’t get the job. But you know what I got? A call asking me if I am satisfied with my mobile service provider. This call came conveniently after they had my CV. So did you collect data from my CV so that you can use it for your surveys? Was there a valid vacancy?

Why was the guy on the phone by the name George unable to answer my question? He ignored my questions & repeated that he’s calling from AC Nielsen in Sharjah, as if I didn’t hear him the first time. I need a response regarding the unauthorized use of my data.
