NIPT test - We had the advanced NIPT blood test via our local window to the womb branch in the north-east of England. We were impressed to receive tracking information throughout the whole process.

We had the blood test on Monday. Blood results arrived at lab for processing on Tuesday evening and we received the results on Saturday morning - which was well within the 5 working days.

Although not as fast as other online - who report results in 2-3 days - but were pleased that lab works and sends out results on a Saturday which we didn’t expect.

It was a little annoying that they don’t have a phone number to contact but they do have a dedicated email address for NIPT support.

We also liked how gender and genetic testing results were in 2 separate attachments and you couldn’t automatically open the gender results as you needed to use password provided in the email.

I wasn't very impressed by the service given the price of the (NIPT) test. They sat on my blood sample for 6 days, only processing it when I sent a chasing email to all 3 of the email addresses listed on their website (no phone number available to call). Even the NHS can provide results quicker than that and they're not charging £200.

Don’t recommend. Person taking blood was rude and unhygienic. Arrived and she was more busy playing on her phone. Had to ask her to wash her hands. She didn’t explain any part of what she was doing or when to expect the results. It would not take much effort to communicate and show bedside manner.

Attended for NIPT testing at 10 weeks pregnant. Was told results would be 5 working days max. On the 5th day I contacted them to ask what the latest time I would hear back was. Was told I should have already received the result and I needed to check my inbox.

When I pushed back and said I hadn't received the results and was confident they hadn't been sent, they checked and said the results would be released later that day.

I did get the result and am relieved everything was fine, but I can see that they received the sample the day it was taken, so it was actually 6 working days. They only actually processed it because I checked as they've entered the time the sample was run. Had I not checked I would not have received my result today.

I received no apology and no explanation for why they told me the result had already been sent.

In future I'd go somewhere with more sensitivity and professionalism at what is a really stressful time for people.

Very good experience. Got my NIPT results after only 2 working days, and the price is very competitive compared to ofher providers. Definitely recommended!

Absolutely disgusting and unreliable. Blue or pink test came back wrong gender. We painted and decorated the whole room based on this test. Then had sonogram later which proved Concepto/blue or pink made a serious error. Was promised a full refund. Then told to “get it myself” through Amazon. Amazon refused due to being past 30 days so I went back to Concepto to ask for my £86 and was blocked and ignored. No response at all and they are refusing to give a refund.
DO NOT USE THEM!! Results are NOT accurate and they won’t refund you. They will palm you off to avoid problems. Currently fighting it as I won’t give up but at process of legal action.
Before you use make sure you check the negative feedback to see what some people experience. Lots of fake positives here.

I had another positive experience with Blue or Pink! I sent the test on Monday and received my result today, Wednesday.

I didn't want to risk using the lancet because I actually hate them so I took the test to my GP. I had blood tests booked on Monday. The nurse took some extra blood and poured it into the tube. This made my life so much easier!

I'm also very happy with my result!

Absolutely appalled. The my sent my early gender test in packaging with a pregnant woman and bold description on the box. My husband, who did not know, received the box in the post. My parents, who were at my house, saw the box and learnt I was pregnant when I had not yet told them. My 3-year old, who had also not yet been told, was then confused and asking what the commotion was about and then had to be told. This totally took away all my own decision making and heaven forbid something happen in this pregnancy, I will have to work out how to tell my daughter. I complained and was told that no one cared about my privacy because the test is not diagnostic. How dare you take this away from me! I am pregnant, it is my body, my news and my decision who to tell and when. I am disgusted with this company and regret ever purchasing.

We booked an NIPT test at 13 weeks and were happy with Concepto. Slightly nervous of the low star reviews, we were cautious about the service but it all worked perfectly. I think some of those reviews are from the COVID PCR days rather than current services.

We’d got a low risk score through NHS testing but it doesn’t give you the certainty of this test, so decided to get it done privately. Booking was straightforward, the clinic was in a decent building with lots of other providers and the person who took the blood was pleasant and reassuring.

The results were meant to take 5 working days but we got ours in 2. We also got the gender revealed as part of the test, which was wonderful to have confirmed.

This NIPT was cheaper than others and that always makes me wary but it was a great service. Would recommend.

NIPT test came back “high risk” for Trisonomy21. I was told this whilst driving a car, with very little empathy and a lack of understanding for the statistics. I pressed for an answer on what high risk meant, only to be told each time “our test is 99% accurate”.

This is a misleading statistic. You may be able to detect 99% of present Trisonomy21 cases but you are not sharing the PPV (positive predictive value) of the test which for a woman of my age is somewhere around 80% (so a 20% chance of a false positive).

After many weeks of deliberation and agony we decided to go ahead with an invasive CVS test privately. This test has come back negative Trisonomy21. Indicating the concepto test was a false positive.

I have no issue with the false positives, these happen. However I do take issue with the lack of after care and misleading statistics that are thrown around. I was told that there was a 99% chance my baby had Downs Syndrome and this was an incorrect stat. Had I trusted concepto and not my gut instinct and done further research, I potentially would have terminated a healthy baby.

Please be careful when using this company for NIPT tests and if budget allows, spend the extra to get a proper Harmony test.

Early gender test is a waste of money. 2 Lancets not enough not only that, one of the lancets was faulty and did not work at all. I emailed the company and a generic email was sent back. Complete waste of money. Cheaper to wait and to go for a scan. No refund was offered or a replacement kit was offered. Absolute let down. Not what they are advertising complete scam!
