Fraud, run away

A Google search for air purifiers led to consumertestreports.org. The 2nd rated device was $650, while the top rated device was $150, today only, and online only. Red-flag. Another search for consumertestreports shows major reports of fraud.

FRAUD!!!: consumertestreports.org

Boy, you really have to slow down these days when buying products online! All I wanted to do was come online to quickly buy a handheld vacuum. I went straight to Amazon but the reviews were really iffy on most of the units I chose, so I decided to do a search on Google before deciding. The first hit that appeared in my search for the "best" vacuum was a site with the name consumertestreports.org. I thought, cool, Consumer Reports is surely the best place to go to find the "best" vacuum. NOT! The site is completely fraudulent, has NOTHING to do with the famous "Consumer Reports," and should be shut down immediately! I'm SO glad I didn't fall for it but I thought of all the other people who might, so I'm taking the time to come here and "report" it as best I could. THIS IS A FRAUDULENT SITE! RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!

Yet another scam review site.

Yet another scam review site.

Here is what you need to know based on reports from July 2025 and January 2026:

Fraudulent Activity: Victims reported looking for product reviews (e.g., robot vacuums), finding this site, purchasing a product, and subsequently receiving no item or receiving a fake tracking number that never updates.
Impersonation Risk: The name is designed to sound similar to reputable sources like Consumer Reports, but it is not affiliated with the legitimate, non-profit organization.
No Response: Attempts to contact the site after payment were ignored.
Fake Tracking Numbers: In one case, a victim reported that the provided FedEx tracking number did not exist in the system
