Overall satisfied but no Android music stream compatibility
I am overall satisfied with the experience so far. but unavailability of compatibility to stream music from Android devices is the biggest let down for me. Until Android support comes in, it will be 3 star for me

The Control4 remote works pretty well…
The Control4 remote works pretty well except that changing channels sometimes requires a couple of tries. Installer said maybe the nodule on the receiver needs to be moved so I will tend to that later.

Home Automation has its pros and cons
I had a professional install our system. The Phillips Hue Integration has not been the best and the the continuous driver updates and such, it is a real pain as all vendors want to provide automation so it seems there is always a conflict. I suppose more time has to be given to manage the system. Things do work but they also tend to break a lot where I have to call my installer again to put things back together.

No service
We have tried reaching out multiple times for help setting this up. Our builder went through Rapture. We have called multiple times with no return call. I would love to enjoy the services but at this time it’s just sitting there.

Don’t do it
Don’t do it. House built in 2019, large home with media room that is used all the time. Nothing but problems. Service ? Wish we had been told/warned that service is not available on weekends. The system crashes every 2 weeks, always before a weekend. Ready to watch a movie or a Blueray …nope, no audio or light switches on the wall do not work.

We wasted over $30k on Control4 …
We spent over $30k on a complete Control4 home automation system 2 + years ago and became so frustrated with the system we recently decided to fully remove it. Every minor change or problem required that we schedule an in person technician and pay about about $500. We had tech visits on average every 4-6 weeks. We became so tired of the tech visits we simply stopped trying to fix the system.
Just to mention a few specifics; the gate intercom takes so long to load it is not worth using (sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t), the security cameras were inferior quality and also took so long to load we often gave up trying to view them, the video playback interface looks like it is from the 1990s, the audio/video matrix worked ok for the first few months but would not recognize the TV remotes within a few weeks after each tech visit, and the main Control4 app was generally slow and unresponsive ( particularly when we opened the app while not at home)
On a positive note, the lighting and hvac controls worked fairly well (when the app would open).
We are now trying to resell the individual components on ebay to recoup at least a small amount of the investment. Total waste of money.

not working properly
The system is way too complicated. Intercom doesn't work on iPad. Video on Intercom doesn't work with Pixel 5. Shades do not operate. Every little change needs to be made through authorized center, who will ask you for passwords and once wifi password change you will need professional again. Mine is charging $500 for just arriving to the house.
What a joke Control4 responding to the public Trustpilot review. First I don't see any way how to respond.. and second I sent numerous emails to Control4 and getting reply was like pulling a teeth

Your app needs to be updated…
Your app needs to be updated dramatically. You have to make it as easy to use and integrated with other services (like Spotify) as the mass market products (like Sonos or Nest).

The house we bought came with a system
The house we bought came with a system. It has never worked right they’ve charge us $10k and it still doesn’t do simple things like turn off the alarm or answer the bloody DS2 doorbell.

Service issues
Service issues. Never ending problems. We do not have any service person in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. App is not working from yesterday evening, couldn't switch off lights in one room as there is no control pad installed in that room. Need to wait for 2-3 days for service person even for small issues.

We are very disappointed with the…
We are very disappointed with the control4 system, and would not order again in the future. We have to rely on a service engineer in order to update the system, fix any errors, reset the system, add components and do any general maintenance. This is a huge disappointment, and I would definitely not have gotten this if we knew that we couldn't do anything on our own.

Not Total Familiar
I am still getting used to this service. Sometimes it feels a little cumbersome and slow but maybe it is just me. Check back with me at Christmas time.

Terrible
When we bought our home the Control4 worked perfect. We hired someone from spectrum to change our system to our new Wi-Fi. They were unable to reconnect system. We paid a fortune and they never got it to work!

Pretty nice when it is working
Pretty nice when it is working! Any interruption of internet access brings the whole system down. We had problems with devices changing IP addresses, which also brings the whole system to a halt. The remotes we got with the systems are mostly useless because of dim displays making it hard to see what functions we are using. The app on my ipad is far easier, and therefore more useful.
