Cooks Blinds and Shutters Reviews 2

I asked Cooks to advise on product to shield my garden room from the sun. They mis-sold me a very costly Bambrella Umbrella System, far too large for my small patio and garden and not fit for purpose.
I have since taken advice from two reputable companies:both advised external roller blinds for my patio doors to shieldmy garden room.
I complained to Cooks. They resisted my complaint over a 6 month period. Completely lacking in empathy for the fact my patio had been rendered inaccessible by the huge structure. Eventually I was refunded via my bank's chargeback process and Cooks removed the Umbrella System.
I will never know whether the mis-selling was intentional or whether it was due to incompetence. I hope the salesperson will now receive training and supervision to prevent a recurrence of mis-selling.
In addition Cooks need to review their complaints procedures to ensure the delegated authorities are in place to deal with complaints swiftly. This firm showed no consideration of customer needs.
I cannot recommend this company.

Although Cooks didn’t originally install my shutters (though I now wish I’d chosen them!), I contacted the company to ask whether they could repair an issue with my internal bedroom plantation shutters—one of the panels had slats that wouldn’t close properly. From the moment I called, the team at Cooks were incredibly pleasant, helpful, and genuinely eager to assist. They put me through to Tim, who happened to be in my area the following day and kindly offered to stop by.
Tim arrived as promised and was both friendly and highly professional. Within just 10 minutes he had assessed the problem, fixed the shutters, and did so completely free of charge! It was such a refreshing experience to receive service that was efficient, generous, and friendly.
