Predatory billing, poor comminication
I approached Frank Costabile Jr to help me accomplish accounting work back in 2022. I could immediately tell his unresponsive style of communication was going to be difficult to work with. At the beginning of the engagement I had to follow up many times just to get the project started. Eventually he handed off my work to another CPA in the firm named Anne (she did great work) but could only took the project so far. I had to, again, follow up with Frank multiple times and would not receive a response for stretches of weeks. Eventually, I was forced to work with another accountant at a different firm that did excellent work, very quickly, at 1/3 of the rate and I still work with them.
MY ISSUE is that I’m still receiving invoice notifications from this firm 2 years later. The project failed due to poor communication and there was never billing agreed to, no contract, or anything else. In classic style, there is no communication that comes with these invoices.
This firm is very difficult to work with, especially if you get assigned to Frank Costabile Jr. Beware of their predatory billing practices and poor communication.
