Company offers zero baseline insurance…

Company offers zero baseline insurance when shipping packages and offloads all the responsibility to the customers.
The current flow for this is deceiving and unintuitive. I’ve brought this up to customer support in the past and they’ve agreed this is a design flaw on their end.
If you lose a package, you’re screwed. Lost 1k worth of cards with nothing back on courtyards end

Edit: I see they’ve respond and would have you believe they are offering insurance when it’s just the default FedEx $100 included in their shipping. This is wild considering literally all of their competitors would refund or replace lost cards. Dopa, boxed.gg, etc.
Courtyard is just straight up cheaping out on shipping. Point blank

Thank you for taking the time to share this. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience losing cards in transit and we want to address your points directly.

We want to be clear: all shipments on Courtyard include baseline carrier insurance that covers damage up to $100. To keep costs and shipping fees as low as possible for all users, we don't require and additional coverage beyond that for users who do not want it.

For members who want additional protection, we also offer optional coverage at checkout. We are sorry if this was not communicated clearly during your experience and we understand how that could feel frustrating, particularly on a shipment of significant value.

If you'd like to discuss your particular situation any further, feel free to reach out to us directly at contact@courtyard.io and we will do everything we can to help.

Just like with all other gambling platforms there's risks but the risks arnt high they're quite fair you'll never lose completely everything or get something worth absolutely nothing. The cards are cool the website is easy to use and there's a market

5% transaction fee on top of card…

5% transaction fee on top of card purchases is ridiculous. Should be a fixed charge but instead the higher the pack value the higher the card transaction fee.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We want to be fully transparent about how our fees work because we think it is important for our members to understand this.

The transaction fee you are referring to is likely the standard credit card processing fee charged by our payment providers. Courtyard does not make any money on this fee, and it is a percentage of the transaction because that is how payment processors charge it, not a choice we made. For members who want to avoid this fee entirely, we actually offer crypto payments specifically for this reason, which most platforms do not provide.

The only fee on the platform that Courtyard earns from is on the entirely optional buyback, which only applies if you choose to accept a buyback offer. You also have the option to accept offers from anyone else on the platform and pay 0% fees, or have the card shipped to you and sell anywhere you like (though you may have trouble finding other platforms with lower marketplace fees). Every other fee on the platform is passed through at cost to keep things as low as possible for our members. We think that is a fair and transparent model and we are always looking for ways to communicate it more clearly.

When I first started ripping repacks I…

When I first started ripping repacks I was very happy with the hits I was getting I understand that it’s a gamble and sometimes you loose money and sometimes you win with me when I win I keep I’m a collector not a reseller
Out of all the rips I did last night not one card came close to what the pack costs I was veryy disappointed and o ripped quit a few packs just seems that when I first started using your services I would get way better cards and now I couldn’t even break even on any card I pulled it seems like you have me chasing cards but never getting anything worth much I don’t mind losing but not every time I rip with you

Thank you for taking the time to share this. We are sorry to hear last night was such a frustrating session and we completely understand how discouraging that feels, especially as a collector who genuinely loves the hobby.

We want to be clear: the expected average value of every pack has not changed, and has always equaled the exact amount that you pay for the pack. For example, a $50 pack will have items worth an average of $50 that come out of it. Our odds are statistically accurate and every single pull is publicly verifiable on the blockchain to ensure fairness. That said, we completely understand that variance can be a real part of the experience, both the highs and lows. A run of pulls that fall below expected value is entirely possible within normal statistical variance, and we know that can feel frustrating even when the underlying odds are consistent.

We strive to be the most transparent way to open packs in the industry, so all odds are clearly shown before each pull that tells you exactly what value can come out of that pack when you purchase. If you ever have specific questions about how our odds work, please reach out to us at contact@courtyard.io, happy to chat through it further.

Positive Experience

Good customer service when needed, deliveries are quick to process and I’ve never had a quality control issue with slabs or boosters when delivered.

Its the best platform out there

Its the best platform out there. Super simple easy to use and 100% transparency. I will always recommend this company to anyone that collects. Customer service is top tier as well. I have had one issue but the the customer service responded in no time with a solution. Ive ordered cards from them a number of times with them arriving within the same week!

Losing quality

I had pretty good experience at the beggining, hit rates were great. Then when it got traction, it got too botted. Which looks like the bots are getting all the good stuff. Cheaper packages are not getting good stuff like before, so they are not worth it, so technically, it got more expensive.

Great app, love what is offered, but the mechanics for purchasing needs to be improved.

Love the app and website, but both navigate different… one is hard to do redemptions. The other takes a long time to load your collection if it loads at all. I have received multiple errors probably 6 to 10 on purchases where it did not display the pack. I still have one pending from 10 days ago and they take forever to fall off, if they do at all, that part I’m not happy about. Another issue is after multiple purchases. Every bank starts to block these transactions Venmo, Rivermark, Wells Fargo eventually they won’t let you use your site due to thinking it’s scam related. Which it is not the site is 100% great and authentic and provide great services but still I would like to be able to use all my bank account accounts to make purchases if possible I’m down to my last one. I may not be able to use this app after it gets blocked. I’m assuming it has to do with all the charges that don’t go through and fall off. Overall app is amazing. The products and services are great. Love The fairness in the odds of what you pull. I’ve sent a lot of my collection to my house. Once it ships. It’s super fast, two days and the cards I receive are exactly what was pictured and documented. Amazing app and a lot better than the other ones around.
