It was a really fantastic place with beautiful nature. There was lots of thoughtful touches in the cabin and from the host and would highly recommend people experiencing it for themselves.

The best place to get away from the world, slow down and sit amongst nature.

Super comfortable cabin, with everything you need - large bed, hot rainfall shower with a view, fully equipped kitchen, comfy sofa…

But best of all is the location. Sitting amongst trees. Bird song and trickling stream for company. Outdoor firewood heated bath to soak it all in from.

Not forgetting wandering amongst deer and Iron Age pigs, spotting beaver dams, and breathing in the freshest of air.

Heaven. Visited twice. Will book a third visit soon.

Cove Valley is such a beautiful & serene place, the perfect escape from the outside world.

We stayed at “Chatan” which was the most cosy, magical treehouse cabin. The interior design and attention to detail are exceptional.

In the grounds you’ll expect to see gorgeous & friendly wildlife, along with incredible views.

Thank you to Yolanda for a seamless experience with booking and for being so accommodating. My husband and I could only get childcare for 1 evening which Yolanda was happy to accommodate last minute.

Cannot express how amazing the last 3 nights staying in the magical Hopi cabin have been.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special. Nestled in the most peaceful and picturesque surroundings, this stunning cabin gave us the perfect escape from the craziness of everyday life.

The attention to detail in the cabin is incredible. It’s beautifully designed, blending rustic Old American charm with modern comforts, creating a warm and cosy space. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and waking up to nothing but the sounds of nature was pure bliss. The outdoor space was just as incredible—a perfect spot to relax, unwind, and take in the breathtaking views while lounging in the wood-fired hot tub.

Everything was immaculately clean, and every little touch had been thought of to make our stay truly special.

Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a private peaceful retreat, or simply a chance to reconnect with nature, Hopi Cabin is an absolute gem. We left feeling completely refreshed and already can’t wait to return.

A Perfect Cabin Retreat with Stunning Access to Exmoor

The Hopi cabin was everything I had hoped for—and more. Nestled in a wonderfully secluded spot, it provided the perfect escape while offering unbeatable access to the delights of Exmoor.

One of the standout features for me was the well-equipped kitchen. So often, holiday rentals promise a “fully stocked” kitchen, only to disappoint—but not here. From quality cookware to thoughtful little extras, it had everything needed to prepare meals with ease. It made staying in just as enjoyable as heading out.

And then there was the bed—absolutely incredible! It made for some of the best nights' sleep I’ve had in a long time.

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat that blends rustic charm with modern comfort, while placing you right on the doorstep of Exmoor’s natural beauty, I can’t recommend this cabin highly enough. I’ll definitely be back!

Everything is so thought through- you HAVE to walk and meet the pigs and deers.
The pizza oven is a must, the breakfast, bbq packs were amazing too and the Wine was perfect.
We saw so much wildlife- already booking our next visit.

Stayed in Hopi. Had an amazing time. So nice and quiet. Cabin was nice and clean. Lovely with the wood burner on. Did the walk and saw 5 deer and 2 wild boar, bit muddy but part of the fun. Had lovely meal at The Lost Kitchen on the Saturday. Hopefully be back later in the year.

We stayed in Chattan early January 2025 and it was more than we could have expected. The cabin is beautiful, in the most secluded woods of Cove Valley perched up on stilts. The cabin is on two floors with the bedroom upstairs and beautiful views out over the valley. As a bit of an interiors lover I was blown away by the decor which is designed in collaboration with Ham interiors. There was a yoga mat for me to do Pilates each morning, dressing gowns, hairdryer and many kitchen amenities for us to cook each day. You do want to bring enough supplies to be able to stay in each night since it’s very secluded. We probably brought more belongings than anyone ever has which made our journey up to chattan a little strenuous with the wheelbarrow but ultimately it was good exercise and worth what we brought! Lots of food and games and books and cozy things. There is scrabble and books at the cabin if you don’t bring your own. The walk round the valley was so stunning I felt like I was in a fairy tale. And we were here during terrible January weather - yet we loved every minute of it. Thanks for the most wonderful stay when we really needed a recharge and Yolanda you are the most helpful and kind host. We can’t wait to come again.

Great stay at Chatan which is a cabin raised up into the woods, well equipped and the outdoor log fired bath is perfect for sitting out on a cold evening. The wildlife within the reserve is great. The walk up from the Car was not so much fun on our visit, very wet and muddy and a bit difficult for us in our older years, but once inside it was heaven

The perfect woodland getaway! Nested in the trees, our little cabin made us feel as if we were the only people for miles! The cabin itself was just the right size and the perfect combination of rustic but with beautiful details and decoration. It had the perfect balance of creature comforts (electric heating and WiFi) and a remote getaway. Set against a backdrop of golden autumnal foliage, it was truly magical and relaxing! Leaving was extremely difficult! We can’t recommend it enough!

We had a brilliant stay at Chatan which is a cabin raised up into the trees. The cabin is really well equipped and the outdoor log fired bath is perfect for sitting out on a cold evening to listen to the sounds of nature. The wildlife within the reserve is great to see and there are longer trails outside the valley to explore as well. There is a short walk up a track from the car park which in wet weather can get muddy but this just adds to the sense of isolation and peace within the valley.

Cove Valley is the most beautiful place my partner and I have stayed in the UK (and we’ve stayed in some nice places!). It was the perfect city getaway and included everything we could have needed.

Yolanda and her partner were lovely and extremely accommodating making our stay even more enjoyable.

The views are stunning, the hike trials around their property are phenomenal and seeing their wildlife and especially Storm, the buck, on a morning walk was breathtaking. It was so perfect I couldn’t resist but to propose on the porch as the sun went down and red deer on the horizon… thankfully she said yes!

We will be back as soon as possible and cannot wait to stay in the other amazing cabins.

Truly exceptional experience that exceeded all expectations. As an interior stylist, I was blown away by the attention to detail and quality of the cabin! Everything was what you would expect to find in a 5* luxury hotel. And the location was bliss. Total seclusion in the most tranquil setting. The pizza night was also superb, and the amenities were so lovely (heated outdoor bath!). Without a doubt book this place if you are at all contemplating doing so. You won’t regret it!

Cove Valley is the perfect place to rest and reset. Surrounded by nature, the cabin was beautifully designed and had everything we could have needed. The wood fired bath is a really special feature which allowed to really immerse ourselves in the surroundings, with only the sound of bird song and the nearby stream. We loved exploring the estate and meeting the animals, especially the friendly pigs!
Overall Cove Valley is a magical place and we can’t wait to come back! We couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

My husband and I spent 2 nights in Ukai and had the most magical time. Nestled in the most beautiful secret valley, it was so peaceful, the only sounds being birdsong and the babbling stream. We were able to switch off and relax as soon as we arrived. The cabin has been thoughtfully designed to fit in with the landscape and has everything you need including a fabulous outside bath.
A highlight was meeting the very friendly pigs who came running up to say hello and rolled over to have their tummies rubbed.
It was everything we could have asked for and I’m sure we’ll be back!

My husband and I have had an amazing stay at Cove Valley staying in the Chatan it was a first time experience for us and we have enjoyed it so much we have already re booked for next year!

The cabin is lovely with everything provided, the wild life is beautiful and the peace and quiet is just what we both needed away from everything.

I would absolutely recommend this wonderful haven of tranquillity and beauty.

A beautifully designed, calming space to relax and unwind in. You have to like being in the wilderness to stay here but it suited us down to a t!

We stayed in ukai for our 25th anniversary it was amazing! So cosy and beautifully decorated with every detail thought of, the bed is so comfortable. Our first day see saw a majestic stag, deers and wild pigs. Idilic walks around the grounds with breathtaking scenery. A cosy peacful retreat from it all, With lots to do around the local area and beautiful beaches a short drive away.
