DISHONEST COMPANY!

This company is dishonest. I used them for too long because there weren't that many companies to use for cable but they don't care about their customers only care about making money. I cancelled them in 2020 and brought back their equipment then received a letter that they never got my equipment. Then in 2021 they sent me a letter saying I owed them $201 so I paid it to get rid of them because they said then that was all I owed them. Then now in 2025 they put on my credit report that I owed them $615. I never received one letter from them even once. They waited 5 years to say I owed them more. They make up charges and they are dishonest. Do yourself a favor and don't use them.

The Biggest Scam Of All!!

I would not give a star at all if it were possible. Cox is the worst cable provider I've ever experienced! The current lineup of shows being offered are MOSTLY sports such as rugby, soccer both women's and men's, reruns of football and basketball, etc. These sports are on 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The prices constantly increase and the shows being offered decrease. When I inquired about the lack of shows being offered the Cox representative told me it was each individual networks decision as to what would be aired. I then asked the representative if Cox had any control over what their customers can see and she replied NO! My question is: how can Cox not be in control over viewing options for the very customers who pay them for a service? Can anyone explain this to me?

I recently switched to Cox from…

I recently switched to Cox from CenturyLink because the connection I was getting wasn't great. Cox was even more money a month, but I was promised that connection would be much better. Well it's not, even with a WiFi extender that the technician said I needed after already signing up. They also charged me $100.00 to come out to my house for 5 minutes to turn the power on outside for their services. I was not told about this charge when I signed up. I called and spoke to two people including a manager about this charge and was told it's valid and I need to pay it. I've been with Cox for one month and I'm dumping them today. Horrible shady customer service and internet connection sucks.

They do not care about you

They do not care about you. This is something you see often in this day and age where a conglomerate reaches a certain size and customer service, following the rules they set forth, and honoring deals made go right out the window.

Their privacy policy states that they collect extremely personal data about you and sell it. What is more frustrating is that their own employees don't even know it. I guess they can't/don't read.

Avoid Cox like the plague.

Stay away from Cox…

Cox has been constantly interrupting our internet services for the past 3 weeks. I work from home and rely on the internet. My internet is constantly being interrupted when I am on work phone calls and trying to work. This is no way to treat customers this has been happening every work day since 10/31

Terrible company to do business with

If I could leave no stars I would. Moved to a new house. Scheduled Cox to come onsite and install internet. I arrived early for my appointment window. No one showed and no one called. After my window passed, I called Cox to find out what happened. They said the tech was there but I wasn't home and didn't answer my phone. I do not have a missed call for that day. And I was there!! Had to reschedule for another day, take time off from work to be home. Next technician did show - late. He went outside came inside, we talked and he decided he was going to put the cable through my dryer vent. Ok. Next thing I know, he is gone!! When I called Cox, they said that I told him I didn't want to drill holes in my wall. What?!? I called back and asked for a supervisor. I was told they would give them a message and have them call me. No call from a supervisor. Just got off the phone with a woman, who barely spoke english, and she said there's something wrong with something outside and they had scheduled a technician to come out. This was never mentioned to me in any of my communications so far. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she said there is no one above her. I said that's not possible. I asked if she ran Cox, and she said YES!!! Stay away from this crazy company full of liars!!!
