A huge thanks to Danna and Colin for a fantastic trip to Peru. It was a true adventure! Being a part of Craic On Travels meant that we could focus on enjoying ourselves without worrying about all the admin stuff. The travel group gathers like-minded individuals and I am thrilled with the experience we got to share together. I would definitely consider travelling with the group again, and look forward to seeing the locations they open up to next!

Without any exaggeration, I had the trip of a lifetime with Craic on Travels. For such a young company, it's beyond impressive how well organised and structured our trip to Peru was. It was branded as a "Proper Adventure" and every day definitely was one. I really can't recommend Craic On or Peru itself enough.

Itinerary - Our trip lasted 13 days and every single one of them was jam packed with experiences, adventures and memories. Travelling the country from its capital Lima, we snaked our way gradually southwards through the beach town of Paracas, the desert oasis of Huacachina, the White City of Arequipa, the heart of the Old Inca Empire Cusco and after several days of hiking, Machu Picchu itself. Every tour and itinerary is different but I was incredibly impressed by the sheer level of variety that Craic On managed to fit into such a short span of days. Whether it was dunebuggying, exploring the tunnels of an old slave plantation, petting Llamas or exploring tropical islands on a boat, there was never a dull moment. Despite all that, it never felt overwhelming either. Plenty of moments to just breathe or relax if needed.

A large part of what made the trip work so well were our guides. Danna, our local Peruvian guide, was an absolute legend. Just a bundle of energy, joy and knowledge. She made navigating Peru a breeze and was always there to lend a hand or for a chat. Colin, one of Craic On's founders was with us on the trip too and he was an absolute gent. Knowledge, leadership and enthusiasm for days. I'm sure we caused him a few grey hairs but again, it's a testament to him that everything went so smoothly. Always up for a chat or a bit of craic. I think what impressed me most was just how unassuming the two were. If something needed to be done, the two would work away in the background without making a big deal of it. You wouldn't even know half of what they were doing, unless you kept an eye out for it. The best example would probably be on the 4 day hike to Machu Picchu along the Salkantay Trail. It was tough and altitude sickness got to a few of us for the first day or two. But despite their own tiredness, Colin and Danna were constantly quietly checking in on people and doing what they could to make them feel better.

Another massive part of what made the trip work so well was our group. It's a bit cliché to say, but they really felt special. There were so many larger than life characters and everyone was so friendly and had gelled within the first couple of days. It was such a tight knit group and they all impressed me so much over the two weeks. Especially with how we all came together over the Salkantay hike and looked out for each other. There was such a constant, positive energy that just made everything so fun. The immediate talk of a reunion in Ireland really says it all.

I'm already nostalgic for the trip. It really did have everything. Adrenaline, history, gorgeous food, wildlife, fun. Can't sing its praises enough. I can't recommend Craic On enough, but specifically if they run another Peru Trip with Danna as a guide, you're doing yourself a disservice if you miss out. I was trying to think of any negatives to balance out the review but I really can't find anything. Grateful for such amazing memories, if you're in doubt, just book the trip!

I had an amazing time on the Peru trip!! Me and my friend had been chatting about visiting Peru so it seemed like perfect timing when the Craic on tour popped up!
I was excited to see Machu Picchu and to explore Peru in general but the tour absolutely exceeded my expectations. Everyone was so friendly and we became a tight group instantly. Danna was an absolutely brilliant local guide, anyone would be so lucky to experience the positivity, kindness and enthusiasm she has for showing off all that Peru has to offer! Colin did an excellent job of keeping everything organized and making sure we were all enjoying ourselves. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who's thinking of visiting Peru and wants to get a really broad tour across the country!

🇺🇬I’ve just come back from an unforgettable trip to Uganda with Craic On Travels, and I can honestly say it was a 5-star experience from start to finish.

From the moment we arrived, everything was so well organised and seamless. We explored multiple national parks on safari, each one completely different and just as breathtaking as the last. Seeing wildlife in their natural habitat was incredible, and spotting a lion in the wild was a real pinch-me moment that I’ll never forget.

One of the absolute highlights of the trip was the added gorilla trekking experience — it is an absolute must-do. Getting the chance to see gorillas up close in their natural environment was surreal and genuinely one of the most special experiences of my life. It’s something that will stay with me forever and really elevated the whole trip.

Our tour guide Megan was outstanding. She handled every single detail so calmly and professionally, making sure everything ran smoothly at all times. Because of that, the rest of us could completely switch off, relax, and just enjoy every moment. She really went above and beyond and is genuinely a 10/10 — the trip wouldn’t have been the same without her.

The group itself made the experience even better. Everyone was so friendly, easy-going, and up for a laugh, which created such a great atmosphere from day one. It didn’t take long for everyone to click, and I really hope we all stay in touch now that we’re home.

A big mention also has to go to Alonso and Chris, who guided us on the safaris. They were brilliant throughout — so knowledgeable about the animals, the parks, and Ugandan culture, and always happy to answer any questions. They made every drive interesting and exciting, and their energy and sense of humour really added to the whole experience. Even small moments, like them joining us for a game of pool one night, made it feel more personal and memorable.

The food was fantastic everywhere we went, with a great variety throughout the trip. We were even treated to a few unexpected three-course meals at a couple of the places we stayed, which was such a lovely surprise and added an extra touch of luxury to the whole experience.

Overall, this trip completely exceeded my expectations. It was the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, great people, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. I couldn’t recommend Craic On Travels enough — if you’re thinking about doing this trip, just go for it. You won’t regret it.🇺🇬

Cannot thank Danna, Colin and all the team for organising such an amazing trip. Not sure where to start but everything from start to finish was seamless. To be a part of a group of such amazing and like minded people while exploring all Peru has to offer was such a privilege. This was my first trip with craic on travels and definitely won’t be my last. A lot can be said for good organisation, good value and most importantly good craic. The trip was really well organised, everything went so smoothly, particularly on such a jam packed itinerary. Every evening we got a run down of what was planned for the following day from Colin so you really could take each day as it came and just enjoy yourself.
The group itself was a lovely one to be a part of, everyone got on really well and came together to help when someone wasn’t at their best!

Just returned from a fabulous trip to Uganda. We travelled the country with the fabulous Chris and Alonso and their knowledge of bird, animals, landscapes and vegetations is top tier. They truly made the experience so enjoyable and great fun. The trip was led by the fabulous Megan who had everything done very professionally. She made us all feel so welcoming and nothing was out of the question from her. It was a fabulous bunch to travel with. All i had to do was literally turn up. It was an amazing trip of a lifetime and would highly recommend people to visit. Craic on travels was a great tour to go with. Would highly recommend them for future travel. Mags.

I’ve struggled to put into words just how incredible this trip was. Before booking, I was quite nervous as I’d never done anything like this before. I made an enquiry through the website, and Colin got back to me promptly with all the information I needed—and more. From start to finish, the communication and organisation were excellent. I genuinely couldn’t recommend Craic on Travels more highly.

Megan was a fantastic trip leader. She is kind, caring, and radiates positivity. You could tell she genuinely loved leading our group, and she did it brilliantly. No matter what question or query we had, Megan always had the answer. She also made the trip so much fun, and her enthusiasm was infectious.

Chris and Alonso were absolutely superb. Not only are they both great craic, but they are also fountains of knowledge about Uganda, its culture, and its wildlife. Their passion and expertise added so much to the experience, and I can’t thank them enough.

The best way I can describe this trip is as the trip of a lifetime. Gorilla trekking, a walking safari with giraffes, sleeping surrounded by hippos, making banana juice and gin, basket weaving, and standing out of the roof of a safari jeep while getting to know an amazing group of people—it was an adventure from beginning to end.

I’ve come home with unforgettable memories and lifelong friends. If you’re in two minds about booking this trip, all I can say is… DO IT. You won’t regret it.

Just traveled Uganda with Craic on Travels, I’ve been on group trips before but this felt like traveling with a family. It was the most incredible experience, the itinerary was jammed packed, so well organised from airport transfers to travelling round the whole of Uganda. Our guides were with us from day 1 to the finally day, making us feel save & having the craic! Chris, Alonso our guides & our group leader Megan I couldn’t have of asked for better people to bring us around and learn about Uganda from. I’m so sad it’s over but I’ll definitely be back.

This has honestly been the best trip I have ever been on. From start to finish it has been so well planned out down to every little detail.

I have just returned home from two incredible weeks in Indonesia with Craic On. Words can’t even describe the experience I had with my group and our amazing leaders, Fergus and Nicky. They both brought the perfect mix of knowledge, fun, and an all round great time to the trip. More importantly, they genuinely looked out for every single person in the group and somehow managed to make sure everyone was safe, happy, included, and having the best possible time — which, with a group of travellers on the other side of the world, deserves some sort of medal!

The itinerary was jam-packed and we genuinely didn’t miss a thing, but I never once had to stress about where we were going, what we were doing, or how we were getting there because everything was planned out to perfection. All we had to do was turn up, trust Fergus and Nicky, and enjoy the adventure!

I’ll honestly be forever chasing the high of this trip, not only because of how beautiful Indonesia was, but because of the incredible people I met and the friends I’ve made for life. I went away on a solo trip and somehow came home with a whole new group of friends, countless memories, and a serious case of the travel bug.

I couldn’t recommend Craic On enough. Whether you’re an experienced traveller looking for your next adventure or considering your first solo trip, just book it. You’ll have the time of your life — and probably start planning your next trip before you’ve even made it home! :)

I had an amazing experience in Bali with Craic on Travels. The whole experience was seamless and extremely well planned. The itinerary, communication and group could not have been better. Our wonderful local guide Nicky was so kind, organised, full of knowledge and had the best recommendations for food and drink. A special shoutout to our incredible group leader Fergus, who was so friendly, accommodating and supportive while keeping spirits high, especially on long travel days.

I recently travelled to Bali and beyond with Craic on Travels. This was my second trip with Craic on Travels and it was another brilliant experience! All the activities were fantastic and we had plenty of time to do some exploring of our own. Everything was super organised thanks to our local guide, Nicky, and our tour leader, Fergus, who both brought the craic and good vibes to the trip! Would 100% recommend doing any trip with Craic on Travels!!

If Uganda isn't on your bucketlist then it needs to be! And if Uganda is on your bucket list then traveling with Craic On needs to be how you get there!
Its my second Craic On trip and it was an absolutely transformative experience. The team made Uganda so incredibly safe and accessible while still being so so beyond incredibly fun! Can't recommend this country or this team enough!!!

Just back from Uganda with Craic On Travels. What an amazing experience! The country is so beautiful, the people are so friendly and the animal encounters on safari or just in the wild were incredible!
Isabelle and Colin crafted a jam packed itinerary with the help of our local tour guides Chris and Alonso, who kept us safe on the road and in the parks, and our tour leader Meg, who made sure everything flowed seamlessly for us.
The chosen accommodations were clean, spacious and had the tastiest food for us. The pineapples in Uganda are out of this world!
We managed to see the Big 5 in the wild with the help of Chris and Alonso with their local contacts in the parks.
In addition to that, we got up close on the Nile with crocodiles, hippos and an array of birds. We got to spend some time observing a shoe bill bird that looks like it's from prehistoric times. We went mountain tracking to see gorillas and chimpanzees on different occasions and got to do a walking safari with giraffes!
The experiences are endless on this trip and the value for money is incredible in what we achieved over 11 days.

Having already travelled to Kilimanjaro with them last year I had high expectations for the itinerary and group experience and I am so happy to say this trip excelled in all these areas. Our leader, Megan, was warm and friendly while our guides Chris and Alonso were the height of knowledge and professionalism. These trips provide the opportunity to visit such a unique country in a very ethical way. I cannot recommend Craic on Travels, and particularly their Uganda trips enough!
