As the other reviews, they took £19.99 without my permission!
Haven’t replied to my emails either!
Ripping people off that are already struggling, complete joke!
Currently being looked into by my bank as fraud and hopefully should get my money back!
Also reported to the financial ombudsman

This company has took 19.99 without my consent. I have an email to say this is cancelled because this site dosnt tell you it is going to take 19.99. I didn’t want a membership as I didn’t sign up to one and I want my money back.
The fact it only asks to take 9p from your account but then tries to take 19.99 is unprofessional and not legit. All these other people complaining about the same thing says something about you as a company. I will Carrie out my complaint with the fca as I have the proof that you told me you wouldn’t take any money out of my account but have. I would also like to mention that when you search only you do t join credit chum so people aren’t signing up for any membership. People stay away they are taking people money that they don’t have to throw away.

Absolute charlatans
Absolute charlatans. They steal money through false pretence. Despite the replies below they are not transparent at all. I like others was looking for a loan and authorised a 9 pence payment. They then took 19.99. I went back through the process and there is a slide option that you must actively untick which is dubious at best and certainly not transparent. I have messaged their "customer service" team but yet to receive a response. I will be escalating to ombudsman, FCA and local MP if I must. Under no circumstances use this organisation and I use that term loosely.

WARNING!!! DO NOT USE
DO NOT USE, THEY WILL MAKE YOU FINANCIALLY VULNERABLE.
I was looking for a loan and I met them, through a redirection from another website cos I was desperate for a loan., they took 0.09 to verify my card, some days later they took £19 off my account. DO NOT USE THEM. I have send series of emails to them to return my money but they have been stubborn and will not return my fund. I WILL BE FILING LEGALLY WITH ALL THESE REVIEWS HERE TO THE FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN, YOU SHOULD DO THE SAME TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK

Awful company
Awful company. Terrible customer service and complete scam.
I think it’s fairly obvious from the numerous reviews that the fact this is a subscription service is not clear in the slightest.
As soon as I saw the mention of the fee I clicked no and did not go any further yet 2 weeks later was charged £19.99!
All company responses are the same, contact customer services. I did that stating I did not accept to sign up for the subscription and wanted a refund. I got no response except a generic cancellation of my account. I have already had all payments blocked from my bank so that is irrelevant. I want the refund I requested! I am opening an investigation with the bank also but have to wait until the charge is no longer pending. I will put my review everywhere possible to ensure nobody else in a desperate situation is stolen from by this company.

SCAM…
If there ever was a time I was embarrassed by my own stupidity it is now. Desperate for a loan to tide me over I fell for the scam that is Credit Chum. After thinking I was allowing them access to my account to verify it was my account instead of taking £0.09 they attempted to take £19.99. I was contacted by my banks fraud department almost immediately and the payment was stopped. They have flagged my account for future withdrawals HOWEVER on Friday I find a further £19.99 pending from my account. I'm now having trouble getting it sorted by my bank. I want you to know that AT NO POINT DID I AGREE TO A HIGHER PAYMENT OR FUTURE PAYMENTS. I SIGNED NO CONTRACT STATING OTHERWISE. THIS COMPANY ARE A SCAM.

This site is a scam
This site is a scam. I wish I could include screenshots of their website to prove what I’m saying.
- you get directed to a page that say “you’re nearly there!”
- then they ask for you card details to “verify you are over 18 and have a valid payment method” they charge the card 90p
- once you fill in your card details and charged the £0.9 it takes you to the next page where you are offered a subscription for the price of £19.99 a month
- no matter if you click yes or no you’re card will be charged £19.99 almost straight away
- when you contact customer service they say you agreed to the subscription fee by entering your card details
- your bank cannot help you for the same reason (but will stop future payments if you ask)
- the “subscription” offers nothing and does not get you a loan. Mostly just newsletters, useless money advice etc.
Seriously people don’t put your card details in. No matter how desperate you are for a loan.
Also if you fill in you contact details be prepared for a lot of spam texts and emails from the “3rd party organisations” they pass you details on to
