More than a headache to build credit score

This is a long read, but worth knowing what you are getting into.

Creditwillow.com (aka. Debtless Credit (aka rent-cred Ltd)) claims to help you bump up your credit score with a weekly payment into their program of $19.99. The truth? The fact alone that they operate under aliases is suspicious - remember: follow the money.

And speaking of money, yes they will take $19.99 from your account every WEEK and they will report your paid rent to the credit bureau, as long as you remember to submit it. It does bump up your score. But is it worth it compared to other credit building companies out there that charge as little as $7 each MONTH? That is your call.

Their aliases have various email addresses to which, whether read or not, they rarely respond. I have discovered why - the less they have in writing, the less they have to defend their position when they decide they are no longer honouring the offer they used to reel you in in the first place. In fact, they will apply whatever "new changes" to their program have occurred, especially when it comes to their "cash bonus," regardless of the contractual conditions and obligations under which you actually signed on. Oh, and good luck trying to get any contract, policy or anything from them in writing.

I signed on with them 16 months ago under the premise and promise from their representative over the phone that they would charge me for 26 weeks (6 months) and I would actually get back all the money I spent with them throughout the program! A lofty claim for sure, and definitely a red flag. I was also told that if I made every payment on time not only would I get back every cent I spent with them through the program but also a bonus of $520! Too good to be true? Well, I signed on and received a welcome/confirmation email from these representative I spoke with reiterating that exact same claim!

Now that I am asking them to honour their promise I am getting a run around and very poor and unacceptable excuses pertaining to the program as it is now instead of when I signed on.

Finally, the biggest red flag is that they require each client to post a five star review on Trustpilot about creditwillow. They will send you your "bonus" payment after your glowing review has gone active for the world to see. Wait! Did I just say they are paying for five star ratings? Yep. I was not only verbally instructed to do this over the phone but it was followed up with an email detailing how to do it.

Do they help rebuild your credit by reporting your rent payments? Yes!
Is it worth the money? Maybe?
Is it worth the hassle? No!

I may return with an update on whether or not they decide to honour their written commitment now that I have edited my review to reflect what my true experience has been.

Update: I must always call to follow up after sending any email to whichever new address they instruct me to use, otherwise nothing happens. A "supervisor" returned my call to again explain the program, as it is now. I just reminded them that this was their promise to me, in writing. After "talking with the other supervisors," he called again to offer me an amount that equates to 84% of what they actually owe me from what I paid.

I was told it will be e-transferred to me "sometime today.". My argument about them honouring the claims their representatives make fell on deaf ears and it is apparent that I am not going to get any further without some help.
