Product details

Bore Tech Bore Stix Cleaning Rod The Bore Tech Proof-Positive Bore Stix is a one-piece, coated steel cleaning rod built for rifles that get cleaned often. A caliber-specific, high-strength steel core keeps the rod stiff in long barrels, and Bore Tech's low-friction coating is tough and chemically resistant, so it stands up to aggressive copper and carbon solvents without breaking down or scratching the bore. The handle rides on two ball bearings and free-floats, so the rod turns with the rifling as you push instead of fighting it. That also keeps jags and brushes from unscrewing mid-stroke. The grip is non-slip rubber, easy on your stock, and color-coded by caliber so you can grab the right rod at a glance. The tip is Bore Tech's replaceable Proof-Positive design. It is not brass, so copper-removing solvents cannot react with it and leave a false blue "copper" reading on your patch. It is a female thread with a smooth, edge-free transition to Bore Tech Proof-Positive jags, which helps protect the crown when you pull the rod back out, and no adapters are needed to switch between Bore Tech jags and brushes. Each rod also carries Bore Tech's index-dot system for checking your barrel's twist rate. They fit the gap between 22LR and 30 CAL, size rods for 6.5/.264" bores. They are a little expensive than other cleaning rods, but you do get what you pay for.
