As someone who has purchased many new Porsches and other prestige cars over the years, I can honestly say that these guys offer something the main dealers have lost.
I live a long way from Cridfords, and you may think I’m mad, but I bought and paid for the car before seeing it in person (in hindsight, I should probably cut down on the red wine!). That said, I had nothing to worry about. I was assured that if there were any issues when I viewed the car, I would receive a full refund.
From the moment I was collected from the station by the new sales chap—whose name I’m annoyed I’ve forgotten, as he was genuinely a lovely guy and great company for the 20-minute journey—I felt completely at ease. On arrival at Cridfords, that feeling only grew. I was made to feel special, but in a very genuine and unforced way.
To sum it up, I am absolutely over the moon with my 991.2. They completely undersold it. Any of the common niggles you read about on the internet had already been addressed, and anything else is covered by the warranty. In my experience, many of the online horror stories are overstated—there are far more cars out there with no issues at all.
Whether this is your first Porsche or you’ve owned many before, these guys are a step above from start to finish.

Recently bought my first Porsche from Cridfords and have to say I am extremely happy with my car. The car is probably better than described and was very well presented at pick up. The service given bay Michael, Sandra and young Harvey was first class. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a used Porsche to look at Cridfords, well worth the 8 hrs plus drive

The whole experience of buying my first Porsche (a 911 Carrera S) was both enjoyable and professional. Sandra sorted all the paperwork efficiently, Michael (who sold me the car) was very knowledgeable and Jonathan went through the car in great detail before I drove it away yesterday - with a big smile on my face! They are all so enthusiastic about the marque and really friendly and welcoming. The car looked fantastic and had been beautifully prepared. I would thoroughly recommend Cridfords to anyone contemplating buying a Porsche.

Having purchased a Porsche elsewhere, warning lights came on, original garage too far to travel to so called Cridfords. Joe was helpful and informative and did everything possible to get the problems resolved within a timely fashion, car going to Cridfords for all future work, feel in knowledgeable and safe hands.

With a regrettably languid pace reminiscent of a leisurely stroll through the annals of time, their response to inquiries regarding my vehicle was as tardy as an aged sundial under a shroud of clouds. The avowed guardians of automotive prowess displayed a distressing lack of alacrity, leaving one to ponder if the concept of urgency languishes within their esteemed purview.

Furthermore, their supposed comprehensive assessments of vehicular prowess were nothing short of dismaying. It became increasingly apparent that additional checks necessitated the expertise of far more specialized artisans, revealing a disconcerting lacuna in the fabled expertise professed by Cridfords.

In essence, while draped in the opulent fabric of acclaim, their customer support’s languor and the realization of the need for specialists to scrutinize vehicular intricacies sorely tarnished the gleaming facade of this esteemed institution. A rueful sigh escapes as I seek solace elsewhere for the sanctity of automotive proficiency.
