At this time, our system is not connected to other DNA companies’ databases for privacy and security reasons. Each company uses its own database and algorithms, which means relative matching is only possible within the same platform.

As for the traits, they are based on genetic correlations identified through peer-reviewed studies. Why Your Health Reports May Not Match What You Know

1. Environment and Lifestyle
Even with a genetic predisposition, your lifestyle, diet, and environment play a big role in how those genes are actually expressed in your body.

2. Traits Are Influenced by Multiple Genes
We focus on key gene markers supported by scientific research. However, many traits are impacted by a combination of genes—some of which may not yet be fully understood.

3. Genes Can Be Switched On and Off
Through epigenetics, we know that genes can activate or deactivate over time due to stress, diet, and other life changes. This means that even if you have a certain gene, its effect can vary depending on how it’s expressed.

We also understand your concern regarding the maternal haplogroup report. These results are based on ancient DNA markers that trace deep maternal ancestry—often spanning thousands of years. This means the origins identified may not reflect recent generations or the physical appearance of more immediate family members.
