An Amazing Support System for Students Who Want to Study Abroad

As a student at Crimson Education, I’ve found their support incredibly helpful. Everyone is kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in helping you reach your goals. They guide you step by step, which makes the whole process feel much clearer and less stressful.

There are also so many opportunities they offer if you dream of studying abroad — from academic planning to extracurricular guidance and test prep, it really feels like a full support system.

My strategist Jhony has been amazing, and my Student Success Manager, Lucas, is also super supportive and always willing to help whenever I need anything. Even though I haven’t applied to universities yet, I already feel much more confident and prepared because of their guidance. Highly recommend!

A big thank you

Crimson Education was such a big part of my academic journey, and I’m genuinely so grateful for the support I received over the years. My team really believed in me and was all in on helping me make the best decisions for my future, even when my plans changed. They were incredibly supportive, encouraging, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure I felt confident and prepared. I didn’t end up going overseas, but the guidance, tools, and skills they gave me have set me up so well for the next few years of my degree and beyond. I truly feel like they cared about me as a person and not just as an application. Thank you to everyone who was part of my journey.

Third time using Crimson

I've used Crimson for all three of my daughters. Two are now in Ivy League schools in the US and my third ( who just finished her journey with Crimson in December) has already got an acceptance into her Early Acceptance school ( North Eastern University). We are over the moon and hopeful for her acceptance into one of the Ivys' later this year. I would highly recommend Crimson, their attention to detail is second to none and their strategy of carrying the entire family along ensures that the applying student has a feeling of robust support. I've already recommended Crimson to my friends so if you're thinking of using them, I'd say " go for it"!

More Marketing Than Advising

I scheduled a free 15-minute consultation with Crimson because I was genuinely looking for guidance about my academic goals and future college plans. As a motivated student trying to be proactive, I expected at least a short conversation about my interests, direction, or how they work with students. That is not what happened.
When the call started, the consultant greeted me but immediately misspelled my name, which already made the interaction feel rushed and impersonal. He did not seem interested in building any kind of connection or understanding who I am as a student. His tone felt disengaged, almost like he was in a bad mood or just trying to get through the call. He asked me a couple of surface-level questions about school and what high school I was planning to attend. Before I could really explain my goals or ask any questions, he abruptly stopped the conversation and shifted the focus entirely away from me. He asked which parent is most involved in my college admissions, and then said my mom should schedule a separate appointment. Right after that, he ended the call. The entire interaction lasted only a few minutes and never became an actual consultation. There was no discussion of my interests, no attempt to understand my strengths or ambitions, no advice, no explanation of how they might help someone like me.
It felt like the “free consultation” was not meant to help students at all, but purely to move the conversation to parents as quickly as possible for sales purposes. As a student, that was extremely disappointing. I came in hoping for insight and left feeling dismissed and unheard. I understand that parents are involved in financial decisions, but completely cutting off a student mid-conversation makes the process feel impersonal and overly business-focused. Students looking for real guidance should know that this initial call may not be a consultation in the true sense. It may function more as a screening step to redirect you to a parent-focused sales conversation, rather than an opportunity to discuss your goals or receive advice.
I left feeling frustrated because I was ready to talk seriously about my future, but the conversation never got that chance to happen.

Thank you for sharing your feedback Bineta, and we're sorry the consultation didn't meet your expectations, and we take all reviews seriously.

We do want to respectfully offer some context, as our recollection of the call differs quite significantly from what you've described. Our representative asked you a series of thoughtful questions and listened carefully to your responses, covering your interest in high school selection and preferences around top boarding schools, your extracurricular activities including speech and debate, your STEM related activities, and your summer program goals. The conversation lasted six minutes and was genuinely focused on understanding your situation.

Given that you're in 8th grade and navigating a significant transition, our representative also suggested including your mother, whom you mentioned as the best parent to speak with, in a follow-up call to build a personalized plan together. That next step was offered but we didn't hear back to schedule it.

Our COO, Arkesh, reached out to you personally via text on February 5th and again on February 6th to offer a one-on-one complimentary call and make things right -- we can see on our end that message was read, but we haven't heard back.

The offer absolutely still stands. We'd genuinely love the opportunity to support you with your high school journey and would be happy to connect whenever you're ready. Please reach out directly to our COO, a.patel@crimsoneducation.org . We hope to hear from you.

Crimson Education mentorship is far more than guidance; it is perspective-giving. You have helped broaden horizons, spark confidence, and unlock possibilities that may otherwise have remained unseen.

We would recommend Crimson to any HS student

Both of my sons (junior and senior) are using Crimson and they are both getting alot from their experiences. From the excellent senior strategists to the Capstone, Essay and SAT mentors. My older son also completed IRIS and learned so much from that. The team are experts in their field.

Reliable

I first found Crimson after searching online for agencies that could help me apply for universities. I decided to send a message, and their reply was incredibly fast. They explained their services and found me a mentor is less than 5 days. My mentor, Michael, is amazing: he always replies to my messages quickly and is truly an expert regarding universities in Canada. They helped me a lot with choosing the best places to apply, managing deadlines, planning my essays, and helping me go through this stressful moment. I was accepted to my dream universities, University of Waterloo and UBC. I would highly recommend Crimson to make the process of applications a lot more smooth.

The team

The strategist was great! She was passionate, responsible, responsive, accurate, attentive to details, emphatic. In some instances she was too pragmatic, which was somehow making the applicant to refrain from brave decisions. Her experience is crucial and it is aimed to help the application to reach his/her goals in accordance with reality. Also, she was flexible enough, though several times were problems with re-appointment or short notice appointments. The Relationship Manager was supportive with tasks, but not all prompt in responsives. FIrst of all, even very small and easy tasks (please provide email address of financial assistance advisor) were responded within 72 hours (though the request was on Friday evenening). I understand, Crimson employees work 5 days per week during the work hours, but there is time difference, national holidays, etc., which shall be taken into account. And Relationship manager was not available outside Monday-Friday and even was not prompt in answering within work hours. As per my opinion, from Crimson there shall be somebody available 24/& for short messaging (Whatsup, SMS) for simple and easy tasks like provision of email addresses, and I asssumed that shall be Relationship Manager. If I utilise services of Crimson in future, my absolute condition will be 24/7 contact. Other advisors (Essay, Finacial, Capstone) were good as per feedback of my son.

Great strategists!

I used crimson for applications to the US, my strategist was very attentive and active in reviewing my activity list and supplemental essays. The ERT and my essay mentor also assisted me in refining my essays and made me more confident in sharing my experiences and viewpoints in an in depth and concise matter. Really happy with the great service provided.

Crimson helped shape my son to be a better person

My son has been working with Crimson for 2 years now, and has gotten acceptances to several top 20 ranked colleges. We wouldn't have gotten those amazing results without Crimson's help! The strategist, capstone advisor and essay mentor not only were instrumental to achieving the top college dream, they also helped shape my son to be a responsible, hard-working, and high-achieving person.

Brilliant advisors

The advisors were brilliant and allowed my son to own the process with a high level of independence from the parents. They helped him keep making progress towards his goals, clarified lots of questions that came along the way with selecting schools and preparing applications, contacting admission teams, etc. My son got the bespoke support he needed throught the process. The advisors are also great at communicating with parents, answering questions, and consistently sending thorough summaries of their sessions. Crimson has a great interface that makes it really easy to see what's happening, communicate and schedule meetings. My child also took advantage of some of the courses they offer and reported they were useful. Their services are quite expenside, but in comparison of the high costs of a university education in the US, definitely worthwhile.

Made My Dream School Possible

The summer before Grade 12, I started looking into platforms that could help with the college application process, and that’s when I came across Crimson. I was really interested in what they offered, so I reached out to their team. After showing the platform to my dad, we decided to give it a try. I didn’t start as early as some students, but even beginning just before Grade 12 made a huge difference.
As a Canadian student and a soccer player, I didn’t really understand the U.S. application system or how to present myself beyond athletics. My Crimson team helped me build my confidence and guided me through every step, from highlighting my strengths to understanding the whole process. At the time, I was also recovering from ACL surgery, and they supported me emotionally through that too, reminding me that I had so much potential off the field as well.
Crimson helped my application stand out by refining my essays, personal statement, and activities. Every mentor I worked with was amazing. Christine, my strategist, guided me through everything from my activities to my university list and was always there to answer questions or give feedback. Arsala, my SAT mentor, helped me reach my best score, while my Canadian strategist, Jinwoo, made sure I had strong backup options in Canada. Caitlyn, my essay and interview mentor, helped me polish my writing and prepare for interviews, and Ebony, my Capstone mentor, supported me every step of the way on my project. Together, they gave me confidence, direction, and the tools I needed to succeed.
All of that support helped me get through such an important year with clarity and purpose. I’m so grateful I found Crimson when I did. Without their help, getting into my dream school, Notre Dame, wouldn’t have been possible.
