Beautiful yarn and helpful customer service! There were issues with the delivery, at no fault to Crochet UK but the depot it was getting dispatched from. Jody kindly resent the item to me, and it’s here at last! Beautiful packaging with beautiful sticker freebies, especially loving the fly sticker I received which matches my yarn cakes :) thank you so much

Just ordered 2 more bags that will be 5 in total, love making them and now doing them for friends

Can't access tutorial video and not received any useful help. As this us my 1st time crocheting would hope that this will be more help than written guide

I have only given this a one star rating because there isn’t a 0 star option. I ordered a bag weeks ago. It still hasn’t even been shipped. Comes from the far east with no way of contacting the company.
PLEASE consider alternatives as I fear I have lost my money. This company are absolutely uncontactable in the event of any issues. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
It appears that a lot of their reviews may be written by themselves, especially on social media.

I ordered a Mystery Yarn Cake. The yarn cake arrived quickly and very well packed.
I love the colour combination Jody picked for me additionally to my 3 basic choices.
I made a lovely summer skirt from the yarn cake.
It was a pleasure to work with the yarn and there were no tangled yarn mess coming out of the yarn cake when using as a centre pull (something I had with other yarn cake brands).
The customer service is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely order and recommend this company.

This company is amazing!! The colors are true, the quality is amazing, and the customer support is quick and very friendly. I can’t say enough good things about this. I live in the US and happily spend the amount needed for shipping because I love this yarn and company soooo much!

This yarn is the best I've ever worked with! I had never used yarn that was plied but not twisted and was nervous about it, but I'll never go back. The colors are so beautifully vibrant and the customer service was fantastic! It truly has provided the most enjoyable experience and produced excellent results.

I contacted Mel to request a custom blend cake. Her service was incredible, she replied immediately , fully engaged with me on me colours, sent me 7 different possibilities, made the cake and sent all within a very few days. I am now working on my shawl and it looks fabulous. I can’t rate her and her business highly enough! Will definitely be back to buy again! Diana D

I recently bought my first yarn from Crochet UK. The service is amazing. I am really happy with the yarn. I selected a design your own bundle and purchase to delivery only took 48 hours. Mel replied to an email very quickly and was polite and courteous. I'll definitely buy from her again.

Amazed!! I was looking for a color change cotton yarn in the colors I liked and, I found Crochet UK.
I am amazed how good the thread is, how soft and nice to crochet it is. (50%50% cotton/acrylic)
Needless to say I have already got couple cakes I designed and I will soon come back for more.
Melany is extremely helpful, communication is fast and so is the delivery.
This is my favorite store for cotton cakes.

The yarn cakes are in gorgeous, variegated colours; I can’t wait to start crocheting with them. I love the yarn names, e.g., Bognor Regis, Hyde Park Corner, etc. Mel is great; I made a mistake in my order, and she contacted me immediately. It feels good to support our independent yarn companies.

I can’t say enough great things about CrochetUK, not only do the have amazing yarns & color selections but their customer service is above and beyond.
I had an issue (my fault, not theirs) and they immediately got back to me and found a solution. This truly made my day bc I was buying this to make a gift.

I've never written a review of Mel's yarns as I didn't think there was anything I could add. However I had a delivery today and one cake was wrong. I contacted Mel and within 90 minutes my new cake was on its way to me. Outstanding customer service. Thank you

I was looking forward to using this yarn in such lovely colour mix. However, even though I used it from the centre of the cake, as recommended, it keeps coming out in knots. The last one was so bad I had to cut the knot out after over an hour of untangling. Sadly not a pleasant experience to use this yarn and I can't recommend it.

I ordered 2 yarn cakes and the llama bag bundle, which includes another yarn cake. My order was dispatched quickly and arrived in good time, within the estimated time-frame (it’s sent 2nd class via Royal Mail, so once it’s been dispatched it’s out of Crochet UK’s control). The yarn cakes were individually wrapped in tissue paper, and so was the llama bag. Everything was then protected by foam packing fillers (the kind that look like white Wotsits!). It was like opening presents at Christmas! The yarn colours are fantastic - there is a real depth to the colours, and the yarn itself feels strong but soft. The bag is really well designed; the fold-down flaps come up to encase your WiP (work in progress), and it’s then secured with the drawstring. It holds one yarn cake (1000m) with plenty of space for my WiP, and would probably fit 2 cakes, but it would be a squeeze. Everything feels like it’s been made with the highest attention to detail, and at the bottom of the box underneath everything, I found they had provided a free printed crochet shawl pattern by Ilka Gebbing of ilkamade. There is nothing negative I can say, and it’s been a great purchasing experience. Would highly recommend this company.

The only place I'll go for my 4ply cakes. Great customer service, always happy with my orders. You won't regret buying this yarn!
