Great Customer Care at Crown Plaza Hotel Toronto

I feel compelled to write this review to recognise the exceptional service we received from the team at Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport during our stay from 20–28 April.
After a very disappointing experience at another hotel, we arrived feeling quite stressed and unsettled. From the moment we stepped in, Marifel welcomed us with genuine kindness and care. She immediately recognised how overwhelmed we were, arranged an early check-in, and ensured we were given a comfortable room along with thoughtful touches that truly helped lift our spirits. Her willingness to listen with empathy made all the difference in helping us relax.
Although the room itself was comfortable, the heater proved to be quite noisy. When we returned to the front desk, we had the pleasure of meeting Khaled, who was incredibly pleasant, warm, and professional. He listened attentively and took swift action, upgrading us to a spacious junior suite in an effort to resolve the issue. His calm and reassuring manner made us feel genuinely valued and cared for.
Unfortunately, the heater issue persisted in the new room. When we reached out again, Fahim stepped in with remarkable professionalism and dedication. He personally checked multiple rooms to find one with a better heating system and very kindly upgraded us to an even larger suite. That final room was perfect, and for the remainder of our eight-day stay, we experienced complete comfort without a single issue.
What truly stood out was the team’s commitment to resolving our concerns quickly and thoughtfully. They didn’t just fix a problem—they turned around our entire experience. Khaled, in particular, went above and beyond, even arranging a late check-out to ensure we left feeling completely satisfied.
I would like to sincerely congratulate Crowne Plaza for having such outstanding team members. Marifel, Khaled, and Fahim exemplify what true hospitality looks like. Thanks to them, what began as a stressful situation turned into a memorable and genuinely pleasant stay.
We will absolutely be returning.

Requests ignored

Just arrived from the U.K. having booked the hotel months in advance and specifically requesting a quiet room due to health issues with sleep troubles. Request has been completely ignored and was given a room directly facing Highway and right by the lifts. Booked this hotel specifically as flight tomorrow isn’t early and wanted a long sleep, now won’t be getting any sleep. Wonderful. As an added bonus the air conditioning unit in the room doesn’t work so room is boiling, was going to call down to reception to get it sorted but it’s caked in so much dust I’m not sure I want that blowing around the room

I will come back to provide details of my experience if my matter is not resolved within 24 hours by Rate Hawk and Expedia. I have already sent an email to Rate Hawk's support team, Expedia's Travel Team, and the Crowne Plaza Toronto Airport Hotel.

I will delete this review or improve the rating after my issue is resolved.

Unable to get refund.

I booked a room at Crowne plaza hotel using booking service. When arrived, it appeared, that I need to pay extra $28 for parking which I wasn't aware of at the time of booking.
The person at the reception desk processed the cancelation and said that refund was issued. I requested the receipt, but he said, that it went straight to the booking company and I need to contact them. Knowing, that in order for me to get the money back, the booking company would require the proof from me. I mentioned that to the person at the reception desk, to this, he just wrote the duty manager's email on the piece of paper, saying that I can can write an email requesting the confirmation and they will provide it.
Sure enough, the booking company requested the refund confirmation. I sent an email to the duty manager requesting the confirmation. To this I got response suggesting to contact booking company and tell them to call Crowne plaza hotel and ask for duty manager - this is absurd!
Here is the email I received:

"Good Evening,
Kindly ask them to call Crowne Plaza and ask for the duty manager.
Will do the needful.

I sent 2 more emails requesting the confirmation, but was simply ignored and got no response what so ever.

Amazing

The room was very clean and nice, a very fancy hotel. I would recommend this. The lobby was well decorated and designed. I came with my family and we all enjoyed it.
