I raised a query with Croydex at approximately 9:00 am this morning regarding a toilet seat I had purchased which had a problem with the soft close mechanism. I had a reply by 9:30 requesting a copy o... See more

Bought a Croydex plastic toilet seat from Wilco, after 4 attempts to fit it gave up its going back, very poor fitting design as you tighten the screws the other end of the fixing turns which detaches it from the seat, difficult to explain but save your money dont buy.
Croydex Rutland Toilet seat. We bought one of these. A decision I bitterly regret. Easy and always fits it said. Well they DON'T.
Fitting it was anything but easy. Very poorly designed fixing to the bowl. Slots in the plastic fitting are too narrow so didn't allow any free movement to properly locate the seat on the pan.
It's on now but I shall put in the skip when a replacement is obtained. Expensive waste of money.
DON'T BUY THIS SEAT.
Purchased a Croydex Eyre flex fit toilet seat several months ago as I believed they made quality products. The seat fitted fine and I’ve no issues with that. My issue is with the plastic buffers, (below the seat and lid) that I’ve already contacted the company about once and received replacements. They don’t last and the plastic of the seat pushes through them leaving you with a shredded plastic ring that doesn’t support the seat. Maybe just a product issue as better ones could surely be used/made/issued as replacements. Will make me think twice about buying another Croydex toilet seat.
Excellent customer service.
Purchased a bath panel 3 years ago and the removable panels had become faulty (magnetic part didn't work and it had started to bubble).
A quick email to Croydex and they replaced the full panel without any quibble and free of charge. It arrived without 24 hours.
I recently needed a spare part for a Croydex product and after enquiring by email it was delivered promptly, free of charge - no questions asked.
I would rather not have had to replace the part in the first place, hence 4 stars and not 5 - however their genuinely helpful customer service I felt deserved credit, especially as the item being serviced was not purchased recently.
Arrived home to one of the toilet seats that fits all. Told there is a video. That started the worry. When it gave the tip, this told me I needed more than two hands. I was right. Then it says when you position it. REMEMBER THAT POSITION.It was hidden underneath. I do remember the position that I was in, Shagged. Anyway I enjoy a challenge and managed to get it fixed but we will wait and pee sorry see.
I bought a wooden toilet seat about 6/8 months ago. I read the reviews but decided that although the seats didn't get a great review, I would buy one anyway. Fitting was relatively simple but as a qualified engineer, I still contacted the company as I thought that the fittings were weak and not fit for purpose. I have been proven correct. The double sided tape is of poor quality, the threaded bolts do not fit the weak plastic footing plate, as I pointed out to Croydex, and now, 6 to 8 months later, the seat is loose with no way of tightening it.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED CASH, DO NOT BUY.
Ive bought a number of there products and allways been happy with the quality i recently bought a white abs corner unit from a seller on ebay the unit arrived minus the fittings pack so i contacted croydex & within a week the fittings arrived The only thing to rival there products is there customer service team a big Thank You CROYDEX...
I recognised the name Croydex as a well know manufacturer of bathroom fittings, and bought an L Shape Telescopic Rod kit to mount a shower curtain.
What a piece of absolute complete and utter crud
By the "quality", or lack there of I can only assume that it was made in China, or somewhere else renown for its workmanship
Flimsy, shoddy, ill-fitting, cheap and nasty:and fit only to go straight from the packet into the bin (not even worth recycling)
Three toilet seats in 20 months, all failing with the same broken hinge.
emailed the company with no response!
Will not be buying any more.
Originally bought a soft-close toilet seat that had unnecessarily complicated hinges involving tubes of adhesive and sets of templates. Anyway, fitted it, ending up with adhesive everywhere. The hinges failed in less than 8 months, cheap chrome plated plastic just split. They supplied a new set of hinges, the same problem. This time I probably over-tightened because the tie rod pulled straight through the chrome plated plastic fitting. I will avoid this make in future.
Had an issue with a product, replaced no hassle no fuss. What more could you ask for. it is a shame other companies are no so good as them!
Bought a Croydex toilet seat through another company but the hinges did not match with bathroom style. Phoned up the supplier who were unable to help but suggested I contact Croydex directly. Spoke with very helpful lady at Croydex who immediately offered to send out replacement hinges in chrome at no cost. Excellent service.
I bought a new 3 door Alaska illuminated bathroom cabinet. When it was installed one of the lights didn't work and when this problem was being resolved a glass cover to one of the lights was broken. Croydex were asked to supply a replacement glass cover and here is their response:
"Unfortunately we do not have any spare glass and we are not able to order any in from the vendor.
We would recommend to visit a DIY store to see if they can source glass for you.
Apologies for any inconvenience."
Unbelievably poor after sales service and what is really annoying is that the complete cabinets are still available on the Croydex web site.
Good customer service and fast despatch of my order.
Would recommend.
