Beware this is a Scam company as they…

Beware this is a Scam company as they are willing to charge me for not using their wallet in a long time but they are unable to let me see my balance or to authorise me from using my wallet again. So I cannot use it or delete my account without giving them my documents. After sending them my documents they decided to not approve my account. Now I'm asking them to delete my account and delete the documents and they refuse. Really defies any logic and I would be very careful in putting my money with them ever again.

Scam company??

Had similar problems to other customers, not used them for a year but deposited some crypto into my account. They happily allowed me to do that.
However when I tried to convert to gbp I was blocked and asked for kyc. Again. When I provided this they gave me an excuse that they were busy and waiting for other people to verify it.
2 weeks later still no progress, kyc should take minutes. I have messaged this company several times and just get the same automated or stock replies fobbing me off. I even requested to just transfer my btc back out and they have blocked this.
This sounds like a scam company now please avoid using at all cost unless you’re happy to donate your crypto to a faceless company.

3 days later and this company is still fobbing me off with the same excuses. As you see from their reply they promised to return my funds. This has still not happened, this is for the benefit of people reading my review. Can I give a zero??

Mandatory Verification and No Access to Account

I have used Cryptopay from few years ago, but I haven't logged in or access the account for quite few years now.

But this time when I tried to login to the account, they required me to send the a mandatory verification with Proof of Address and me doing a selfie with holding some documents.
It is not a good sign of proper procedure, because they don't allow client to choose, wether to continue using the service without KYC and only let their client get access to their funds. But they do not allow access to my fund at all before the KYC.

I'm still waiting for their goodwill. In the meantime I'm trying to submit the lawsuit to them just in case the do not give me access to my funds. As I have seen frequent report about this issue around the web and got few people who contacted me and telling me the exact same problem.

In the mean time please be careful, and I will update this situation further

Phishing/Scam refuses to allow withdrawal

I made an account years ago and it was great until they revoked the virtual card for my country. This was fine and I understand for legal reasons they cannot provide this service to me.

So bitcoin went up and understandably I want to withdraw the money I had on their system. I got access to my account thanks to support since it was disabled due to inactivity.

However, when I wanted to withdraw it said temporarily unavailable. So I was like fine with it its temporary so I waited. Tried withdrawing later and still unavailable. I contacted support and they asked me to and I quote "We have noticed that you haven't logged for a while, so withdrawals on the account were temporarily disabled as a security measure. To restore them, we're asking you to take a selfie with your passport/ID/driving license and a separate photo of the document. This is a standard procedure to ensure the safety of your account 👌

Kindly make sure that the file is in JPEG/JPG format, and the size is at least 100 KB. Please don't open the photo in any graphics editors and send it to support." (had to remove support email for review filter). So just email your personal details to support. This is a scam and now I cannot even access my account without KYC but my previous level at the time allowed me to withdraw with a limit.

This is phishing and they refuse to let me close my account without providing personal details. I do not understand the point of KYC when it just desensitizes people to phishing. Even Binance allowed me to withdraw my money before enforcing KYC. Binance even leaked peoples KYC details and they have much better security then cryptopay with their email me your identification document policy.

Oh and lets not forget robinhood leaking their clients personal details. If everyone leaks your kyc details how is kyc keeping me safe. They can buy my credit card detail leaks but at least I can get a new card. I cannot get a new face and Identity as easily.

Cryptopay, does exactly what it says on the tin- in many different crypto..

I have been a customer for over a year, I recommend Cryptopay, and have to numerous friends, Once you’re verified then you’re good to go, I’ve never experienced any insurmountable problems and would rate the customer support as excellent.

Totally disgusting company

Totally disgusting company. They are asking for selfie said because didnt login for long time and sitting on your money (late answer, the photo is not clear etc...) to be able to charge you. I gice 1 star because there is no option to give 0. Cant recommend at all. Avoid if you dont want your money stuck.

We totally understand your frustration, but the selfie requirement isn't something that we ask just to withhold your funds - it is done because we work in the UK legal field, and if the documents don't answer the requirements, we have to request additional ones.

It's unfair that even providing us with a photo that answers the requirements, you can still be charged because, the closer the storage fee date - the more overloaded the team is. You have a right not to like us, we understand that the storage fee programme don't have fans, but it was done to remind our "old" customers that they have inactive accounts with funds on our platform - not just to charge them.

Paid for services that I've never received

Back in 2017, the company eagerly took my money in BTC, charging me for a crypto card. Upon doing so, literally a few weeks later, they informed me that I would not be able to use their wonderful services (the ones they've charged me for) due to my location. They refunded me money in EUR, that there was no way to withdraw from the account. Fast forward a few years, and they informed me that I was supposed to pay some fees. So all that tiny amount of fiat they refunded me (instead of BTC that I could have a chance to withdraw from the platform) were used to pay those fees for nothing. I contacted support. But they were not willing to own up to their questionable practices and lack of business ethics. They were not ready to at the very least refund to my bank account money they owed me for years. Instead, they started describing in colors how great of the company they are and what a bloody idiot I am. Not recommended. Absolute lack of business ethics.

From your point of view, we understand that being charged is always unpleasant, but we’ve never taken the funds without informing our customers in advance. The goal was to remind the customers (twice before the storage fee was applied) who forgot about their funds’ existence so that they can get access to their funds and withdraw/exchange/get assistance in case there are any problems with the account activation.

This could probably be a problem of communication as we have no other channels other than email to reach customers who haven’t logged in for a long time. It doesn’t change the whole picture, and you have a right not to like our policy and we respect any of your decisions. However, we are not scammers or robbers, because our customers have a right and possibility to avoid being charged and we help them with it.

We are really sorry it happened this way.

I am using Cryptopay for a 6 months now. Have no problems.
Have few issues and questions. Ask them in the chat, problems resoved quickly, that kind of service you want to expect from trustworthy company.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever. I was fully verified as soon as I made a deposit, they wanted to verify my card. I sent them all the selfies required holding my card and covering the digits, the front and back of the card even sent them a bank statement, and proof of address still wasn't enough after 3 attempts!! what more verification could anyone ask for? I was starting to feel like they are taking the mick with my selfies, I surely don't feel comfortable sending more selfies. Now my deposit is stuck with them!!!!!!!!!!! After going through all this stress I would gladly report this company to the right organization! SCAMMMMMMMMMM!!!

I have recently joined CFX and they are very thorough and security is at the heart of what they do so it takes a while to get all the security checks and access sorted.

That said their support team are excellent they answer any enquiry quickly and keep you informed and do their utmost to ensure you get all issues sorted ASAP.

The thing is, GBP bank withdrawals are processed only on weekdays from 8 AM to 4 PM. On weekends, however, we cannot guarantee the same processing frequency and speed, hence the processing time is increased up to the next business day.

If you are a resident of the EEA country, with Tier 1 you can make all the crypto transactions, Tier 2 also gives you the opportunity to make a card and bank deposits, Tier 3 allows you to order a Cryptopay card.

Cryptopay is a genius financial revolution.

I support Cryptopay very much.

I have had superior customer service with Cryptopay. They have been exceptional towards me. And very very helpful.

I have made small deposits with them so far. And I am seriously impressed.

I also wrote to the FCA explaining that not every crypto user is a criminal. And encouraged a more positive perspective from the FCA in both poise and decorum.

CRYPTOPAY STORAGE FEE SCAM -DON'T OPEN ACCOUNT !!!
Friends besides the ID Verification issues they have, as of this month JUNE 2021 they will DEDUCT A STORAGE FEE OF € 10 / $ 10 / £ 10 if your balance is equal or more as €$ £ 10.
When the balance is less than the before mentioned amount they also steal it and leave you with a ZERO balance, and only then they will allow you to close the account.
This is BLATANT THEFT !!!
We didn't signed up for this when we opened the account.
Friends find another Cryptocard company, definitely shun them.

We are afraid there was a little misunderstanding - we aren’t scam. Cryptopay is a trustworthy company that works according to UK laws since 2013.

The thing is, the storage fee is about connecting our customers with their funds. It wasn’t created to charge money, but to awaken inactive customers and let them use their funds.

It was possible to avoid the storage fee by making any operation in your account - any transaction (even small) could have reset the charge.

We also informed our customers in 30 and in 10 days before so that they could have avoided being charged. We are sorry that we’ve made such an impression, but we are 100% transparent with our customers and are always open for dialogue.
