Polite, Professional and Straightforward

I recently contacted Rob about selling my Porsche 911. He came back to me a few days later, but I had already sold the car by that point. I’ve now contacted him again regarding another vehicle I have for sale.

I noticed a review saying that Rob didn’t respond quickly enough, and based on my experience, I feel that’s unfair. A professional car dealer isn’t going to throw out an instant price just to secure your attention. Unlike online car buying sites that generate immediate figures (which in my experience are rarely honoured when you actually present the car), Rob clearly takes the time to properly research the vehicle before coming back with a realistic offer.

That approach shows professionalism and integrity. It’s far better to receive a well-considered price that a dealer is genuinely prepared to pay, rather than an inflated headline number followed by thousands being knocked off when they inspect the car.

Although I haven’t yet completed a sale with Rob, my interactions with him have been entirely positive. He has been polite, professional, and straight down the line throughout. Based on my experience so far, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

The chap that runs this company is a lovely genuine chap and the last gentlemen who wrote the bad review was being so crazily unfair and way over the top,in fact almost bullying in attitude , people are so quick to hurt others when all the chap did was be late calling you back? really?

FINAL UPDATE

FINAL UPDATE:
After a week of chasing, Rob finally responded with a "bid." Unbelievably, he tried to justify a low offer by comparing my specialist car to a 'We Buy Any Car' valuation—a platform he knows perfectly well is the bottom of the market and irrelevant for an enthusiast car with a clean bore-score report and thousands spent on maintenance.
It is now clear that the "reach out to me" pitch on YouTube is just a lead-generation tactic. He isn't buying the cars himself; he’s acting as a middleman for 3rd party traders while using his "decent chap" persona to try and secure cheap stock from trusting subscribers.
Daily YouTube uploads clearly take priority over professional communication or fair dealing. If you value your time and your car, avoid the "YouTube celebrity" hype and go to a professional specialist who actually understands the motor trade. Experience: 1/10.

I contacted Rob at Cubitt Cars after seeing his YouTube videos where he makes a huge point of reaching out to subscribers to buy their cars.
Unfortunately, the "decent chap" persona on screen doesn’t match the reality of his business.
After an initial phone call where he seemed interested, I sent over all the photos as requested. Then—silence. I had to chase him for two days just to get an acknowledgment. When I finally reached him, I was told he was "too busy" (presumably filming more content) but would look at it on Friday.
It has now been a week and he has completely ghosted me. No message, no call, nothing. It’s baffling how you can find the time to drop a YouTube video every single day but can’t find 30 seconds to reply to a genuine business enquiry.
If you’re looking for a YouTube celebrity, Rob’s your man. If you’re looking for a professional car dealer who actually values people's time and follows through on his word, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. He seems more interested in being a "creator" than actually buying and selling cars.
Avoid if you value your time.

Highly recommend!!

First time using Cubbitt cars and I could not be happier! Rob was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He truly cares about his customers. It was such a different experience to what I’ve had in the past, for the better. I look forward to coming back in the future!
