I signed up for what appeared to be a €0.99 CV builder service. While the initial price was clearly stated, the automatic renewal at €19.90 after 14 days was not adequately disclosed during the signup process.
This is a classic dark pattern designed to exploit users who are focused on creating their CV and may not notice the fine print. By the time I discovered the charge in my bank statement and cancelled the subscription, the money had already been deducted.
This business model specifically targets job seekers - people who are often in vulnerable financial situations. The lack of transparent, upfront communication about the true cost is unethical and misleading.

I am extremely disappointed with Resumaker.ai. I only paid €0.99 for a trial and was never informed that the service would automatically charge me afterward. There was no clear warning, email, or consent, and I consider this a misleading and deceptive practice. Customer support cancelled my subscription but refused to refund the unauthorized charge. They are misleading people to earn money from them
