Lack of basic standards and unprofessional

I had an absolutely terrible experience with CVM Preston. I called today to make a simple enquiry about a steering rack issue that my mechanic had already diagnosed. All I wanted was to book an appointment and get it sorted — nothing complicated.

Instead, I was met with one of the rudest and most unprofessional people I’ve ever spoken to. The guy who answered the phone clearly had no interest in listening, kept interrupting, and was outright disrespectful from the start. When he finally agreed to speak with my mechanic, he didn’t even bother to have a proper conversation — he just hung up mid-call after being insulting.

This isn’t just bad service, it’s a complete lack of basic professionalism. If you can’t do the job, just say so politely. That’s the bare minimum any business should be capable of. Instead, they chose to be dismissive, arrogant, and disrespectful to both me and my mechanic.

I don’t know how their actual work is, and at this point I don’t care. With service like this, I wouldn’t trust them with anything. One staff member like this damages the entire company’s reputation.

Extremely disappointing. I will never use them again and definitely won’t recommend them to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

Please do not buy a vehicle here

We bought a van through this garage and has been a disaster from start to finish. We received the van which has holes through the floor from inside to outside where shelfing had been grinded out. The whole van inside and into the cab was covered in mold. Van delivered not cleaned, with rubbish, change etc in . Long story short it lasted 3 weeks and the engine blew. CVM asked us to source a local garage for diagnosis, which we did. Then refused to pay the bill for the garage diagnostic. They paid part we had to pay the majority. They offered a refund which we accepted , they asked us to give van locationa nd send V5 and keys - which we did. Months later We only have got back 10% deposit I paid by bank transfer they still have not refunded the finance company. The whole journey has cost me over 4k, time lost at work, and letters from the DVLA as they still have not transferred the title asking for road tax. We have not been able to secure a new van, months later and we have to pay weekly for a hire van.

Fabulous customer service

Fabulous customer service from start to finish. Took a leap of faith buying a car on the internet without actually seeing or sitting in the car. Darren reassured me from start to finish even sending me a video of the car.

We had a couple of unexpected blips with the delivery being based in Northern Ireland but nothing was too much trouble for Darren. I took delivery of my new car on Tuesday.

Car exactly as I expected and so happy with it. Highly recommend this company and Darren in particular.

ELCAP Feedback

The service and after care received from CVM and Tony in particular was of such a high standard that we would have no problem in recommending them and their services to others in our field. As a small charity we value the support and advice to get the most appropriate vehicles for both our benefit and that of our service users. Feedback to date is all positive.

Absolutely wonderful experience

Absolutely wonderful experience.
Firstly, top knowledge to support the needs of the organisation - rather than a 'one shoe fits all approach'. Such consideration for what we need.
Secondly, they work with you depending on budgets/funding to ensure you meet the maximum public value and benefit.
Lastly, Darren M was patient and understanding of the time constraints in getting this completed. Various plans changed and moved and he is still providing support.
Very grateful and highly delighted.

PS - vehicle is truly amazing!
