I’ve relied on CVS for my prescriptions, but this recent experience was shocking. The app said I needed pre-authorization, but my doctor confirmed there wasn’t any issue. When I called the pharmacy, t... See more

We are not in a big city

We are not in a big city, we are in a medium to small town, but we have 2 CVS pharmacies. Both pharmacy staffs are slow and even the pharmacist is very rude to the customers. I am very lucky because I have transferred my scripts to a Walgreen pharmacy. Our family will never use a CVS for a pharmacy. The other part of CVS is good, it's just the pharmacy that brings down the CVS name and brand.

My criticisms of CVS mirror what has…

My criticisms of CVS mirror what has been already stated in reviews by others. Though I've been getting my prescriptions filled there for over 3 years, they still don't recognize me, and I'm not in a huge city. I've been given wrong prescriptions, as well as had them fill ones I did not ask to be filled. When I wanted to talk to the pharmacist about side effects of a particular medication, the pharmacist, who was some 20+ feet from the counter shouted out for all customers to hear, "who wants to know about the medication ________?" So much for HIPPA. I sometimes pay more money at a friendly pharmacy which is located very near me, just so I can get good service, and someone who recognizes me.

CVS Pharmacy service is Poor! In all locations!

Apparently since CVS has acquired an Insurance Company, they have allowed the Pharmacy service to run into the ground. In my opinion, CVS Pharmacy was one of the best and most reliable at one time. The crew is always short and it takes approximately 1 to 3 hours if you choose to wait. My last prescriptions took 10 hours! Let Walmart buy you guys out or someone that's gonna care about their Customers!

In Richmond go west as in Westwood

What a nightmare of a company and what makes it worst..... if you write to their headquarters you don’t get an answer but they pass it back to the store where you had the complaint and if you miss the school they don’t call you back. This proves they just give service lip service. out of five CVS stores in Richmond VA the only one I found that was caring, professional and customer oriented was the CVS in Target in Broad Street close to B and N. I checked out a few more and then I realized that Target manages the CVS and must use higher standards in hiring. Plus CVS thinks the are Pharma Big Brother and are trying to micro manage your life. As a disabled I made the mistake with Medicare and signed up with CVS and now they are trying to manage my prescriptions from one of the best doctors in the field. I wish I could go back to Westwood Drug store the best pharmacy in the city and is still family owned by one of our finest. What a surprise though at Target that I found out the best pharmacist there was a member of the family just mentioned. It must be in their genes!

WORST CVS EVER

WORST CVS EVER, they are nasty, and give you not only damaged pharmacy items, but sometimes not even the right quantity, then when you take the medication back, they accuse you of taking them out yourself? or smashing test strip boxes????? who would want extra thyroid pills???? for what purpose when your only supposed to take one a day GET REAL YOU BUNCH OF FOOLS!!! I have had enough of their attitudes, laziness, including when a script says take 2 a day iron, means you should get 60 not 35, they are going to get someone incredibly sick with their BS, youre messing with peoples lives with medication, that I have now been without for a full month due to your errors! MOST UNQUALIFIED, LAZY, UNPROFESSIONAL CVS I HAVE EVER BEEN TO and I have been a member for over 20 years Ephrata pa location north reading road, even the doctors office says you are terrible!!!

In December I picked up two eye drop…

In December I picked up two eye drop prescriptions from CVS pharmacy. One prescription cost about $20 and the second cost $90. I don't have medical insurance so I asked the person behind the counter if there was a cheaper price or a generic alternative. I was told that there were no alternatives. I had to have the drops that evening because I was having eye surgery the next morning. I did a little research after the fact and indeed a generic was available but not offered. I checked with other national pharmacies and discovered they offered the same drops at about half the price. I wrote to CVS Pharmacy and received a reply saying, "At CVS Pharmacy we value feedback from our customers and your experience is very important to us. We take the responsibility of serving your needs seriously. Please accept my apology for your recent experience at the pharmacy. We are committed to better serving the needs of our customers."
I think an emailed apology isn't evidence of corporate concern for customers.

I'd give the pharmacy less than one star

I'd give them less than one star if that was possible. Tried to call the pharmacy multiple times this past weekend. Held for 30+ minutes each time. Never got a human or even opportunity to leave voicemail. I had transferred 4 prescriptions from WalMart because CVS is closer. After this disaster I just want to transfer them all back but WalMart can't get them to answer either!!! Who regulates pharmacies in Texas? That may be my next stop.

I’m laughing at the reviews because I have experienced all of this. The worst customer service . Unfortunately mom and pop stores are no more, I usually get a text saying the Rx is ready and after waiting in line they tell me it’s not ready. I leave and 9 times out of 10 when I get in the car I get a.text sayiits ready.
The worst

I put one star to be able to go to the next step. But I really wouldn't put any star. Lack of costumer service. Yesterday I called for a medication and was put on hold for half an hour. Today I'm calling early and it's the same. Is this a set up for me to have to go in person for simple question that could be answered over the phone? There are so many unemployed people that are willing to serve costumers better but no one gives them a chance.

BEWARE

My doctor wrote my prescription and specifically noted that I was not to get generic. Three times they have given me generic. After the first time I was told they would note it in my records. Guess someone cannot read. The second time they said it they would note it in which I said it was already done. She said it was not, so someone was lying along the way. This third time was enough for me. I do not know if they need to bold, use all caps, highlight it or what. How about just read the notes!!! The lady was very cool because i was beyond irate, continually wasting my time and gas. My husband or daughter usually pick it up for me because it is on their way home. I am the one who has to go back and get the right one.
This to me is a simple task. At some point sorry is not enough. Fix the problem. Train your staff. Find a solution. If they cannot even get simple birth control right what are they doing with other medication. It is my duty as a responsible citizen to warn others. Someone could die from this incompetence.

CVS Pharmacy / CVS Health / Requiring to scan my drivers license and allow my identity to be stolen

Today I went to CVS to pick up an refill of my prescription as I have done for the last 12 years with this medication. They refused to provide me my medication unless I allowed them to scan my driver's license, as the medication they claimed is now a controlled substance. I allowed them to copy the information and they refused they said they only can scan it and thus refused me my prescription. They were rude, crude and like dealing with a machine not a human, they just kept repeating a script and said they do not want to deal with this issue. I left, came back and cancelled the order and purchased it elsewhere without allowing my license to be scanned and my identity stolen.

What a disappointment and horrible…

What a disappointment and horrible experience at the register with the guy who provided me the service. His name is Spencer. I was felt discriminated by him. He is a very racist person and very unprofecional. I was very speachless to see how he was laughing at me over and argue we had that day a CVS in Fairlawn River Rd NJ. After I asked to speak to a manager he give me a face and laugh I'm with a satisfaction in his face he tol me: I'm the manager. Incredible that a young guy like him have a manager position and been in charge of a store. People like him shouldn't be there.
