Don't buy from this store. Total waste of $550.00 the carpet I bought online doesn't roll out and stay flat. It curls up at least 3 rolls. I put upside down barstools and heavy box on it for 5 days from the day I received it, didn't work still curling all around on all 4 sides. I have to throw it away, not fit for purpose.
Cyrus Rugs emailed 4/10/23 and said to roll the carpet in the opposite way or put it in the sun for one day. One wonders why it wasn't rolled in the correct direction to begin with. We tried rolling in opposite direction & that it didn't work, it kept unrolling and Im not putting it in the sun for day weighted down so birds/neighbours cat can pee/poo on it. Carpet-cleaning guy who was here today for another room said those types of carpets never lie flat because of how they are made, waste of money.

Even though we have been responding back and forth with you via email, we would like to respond to this review as well.
We have provided you with multiple solutions in our emails to you. As stated, we have sold hundreds, if not thousands, of this Star Collection and the solutions we have provided you via email are what help flatten these rugs after being rolled for a period of time. To flatten a rug, any rug, after being rolled up, sometimes we have to perform these tasks. Especially if they have a rubber backing.
As we mentioned in our email, we retrieved a Star rug and laid it in the sun for not even a full day, this slightly heated up the rubber backing and assisted the rug in re-shaping flat. We provided you with photos.
There are ways to help this situation and the solutions we have been providing you are valid. The rug is fit for purpose and we just need your cooporation.

Jacinta was amazing
Jacinta was amazing, poor thing was alone on her lunch break when we interrupted her. Even though she was working alone she tended to everybody calmly and professionally. Jacinta was a wealth of knowledge and very approachable, super strong as she had to move and grab our chosen rug all alone I can only imagine how much hard work moving those rugs would be for her alone, she definitely deserves a raise or at the very least recognition.

I am happy with the rug.
A little disappointed with the deal.
If I purchased online, I could have got a 10% discount. However going through the actual store, they could only offer 5 %.
That’s a bit unfair especially on the store who did all the work finding the rug and explaining to me all about the rug.
In the end I purchased through the store to reward them for their quality work.
I can see that there would be other customers who would have just purchased online meaning the store would have missed out on the sale although doing all the leg work to get the sale.

In store attention (Maroochydore) was good
In store attention (Maroochydore) was good (but understaffed at time). Information, and product knowledge, was good and when the extra yards to source our rug. The promised emailed copy of the invoice did arrive and i phoned after a week to receive the copy (which was promptly sourced and emailed).
The initial communication regarding delivery was good but the time of delivery was advised as 9am-11am. At about 11.30am I rang the Maroochydore store to confirm the delivery, which arrived about 12.15pm
The delivery person was apparently not happy with the single flight of stairs. He could have been more pleasant.

On the First of August I visited Idalia Cyrus Rugs store.
I found the sales person, Dilmi, very friendly and helpful in making my decision.
She spent her time to show me what was available in store.
I have decided to buy Egyptian Rug Phenix for my kitchen. When I have seen how nice it looks in my kitchen I decided to buy small one which wasn't available in the store. i had previuously purchased 2 mats from your townsville store and i wanted another one the same .. i ordered the exact same mat online. when i received it it was 40mm shorter than the others and not as advertised 50 x 80. i phoned and spoke to someone and it was going to be a hassle to send back, also the ones you had in stock were also shorter than they were supposed to be according to the back of the mat . very dissapointed especially as i had just ordered another mat worth over $600 .
