So this company offers an upgrade for the Daan Tech Bob.

This upgrade is to reinstate what was on offer when you first purchased the Bob. This costs around £100 so you will be charged another £92 by their delivery company DPD. That Daan Tech clearly do not inform you of during the initial purchase.

If the company directors were under UK law they would be prosecuted for fraud. Maybe EU law doesn’t believe in that. Possibly how their politicians get away with it as well.

So whatever response Daan Tech gives is a lie!!!

And as proven Daan Tech can’t be trusted to be honest. Their response was a complete lie. And different to the response to their email reply. Of it’s not our problem.

Good product. Poor communication: “free shipping” that in fact does not apply to European islands.

The only good thing is the fancy design. The product has many issues in the first year of using it. The machine hardly dries the dishes. Then the heating disk stopped heating after a couple of month and even emitted smoke. The machine started leaking and doesn't always drains the dirty water.

I bought a dishwasher from Daan Tech a few months ago, and the heating disk stopped heating properly. After contacting customer service, they confirmed the issue came from the electronic card and said it needed to be replaced. Since then, I’ve been waiting for over two months with no solution — no response to my emails, no updates, and no repair.

For a product this expensive, the level of customer service is extremely disappointing. I expected reliability and accountability, but instead I’ve received silence. I hope Daan Tech will take responsibility and fix the issue soon.

Absolutely loooove BOB.
Pros:
- washes CLEAN
- fits perfectly on my tiny counter
- minimal noise
- cute design, cool lights, practical automatic door opener
- very user friendly
- actually pretty roomy for such a small thing!
- LIFESAVER!!

Cons:
- when it arrived it had a broken pump already, so had to send it back
- customer service is HORRENDOUS, the only reason it got fixed quickly is because of the third party I purchased from.
- the Price (8000NOK) is very expencive, a bit overpriced, I think 5-6000NOK is more realistic, since everything is made out of plastic.

Very expensive to run and leaked from the cassette draw which permanently damaged my granite worktop cost to replace £3.5K , my advice is beware

Everything is wonderful, Bob saves my life now, I’m using him everyday, he’s beautiful, effective and smart, especially appreciate the ecological aspect, I’m truly happy and will order anything from this brand !

I purchased the Bob Dishwasher by Daan Tech after initially hesitating due to the mention of taxes on their website. However, I decided to go ahead after seeing a recent Facebook post advertising no taxes to the UK. Unfortunately, I later discovered that this wasn’t accurate, as the tax-free arrangement wasn’t in place yet.

I ordered during a sale where all colours and finishes were priced the same (around £319). I intended to get the matte finish but accidentally selected glossy. I contacted customer service within hours to correct this, and while they initially told me I’d have to cancel and reorder due to a price difference (which didn’t apply during the sale), they eventually resolved it and switched my order to matte.

Upon delivery, I faced an unexpected £80 customs and handling fee, so I contacted them about the misleading Facebook post. They apologized, updated the post, and acknowledged the inconvenience. A few days later, I noticed their website had been updated to include taxes in the price, with a reduction in the overall cost compared to what I paid. I reached out again, and after some back and forth, they refunded approximately £30 to align with the updated pricing.

Now, after a few weeks of use, I can say the dishwasher performs well, and I’m happy with its design and efficiency. It’s perfect for a small household. The overall experience was positive despite the initial challenges, and I’ve since purchased cassettes from them without any issues.

Pros:

- Compact and efficient with a great design
- Customer service resolved my concerns professionally
- Excellent cleaning performance

Cons:

- Misleading advertising caused confusion and unexpected costs.
- Some back and forth was needed to resolve issues

Rating:
I’d rate this 3.5 stars if I could, as 3 feels too low and 4 too high. The product and service ultimately delivered, but the initial issues made the process more complicated than it should have been.

Terrible company to negate with. They are french and do not handle English very well at all.
My Bob has leaked terribly from the cassette draw and water from within which damaged my worktop so badly it has stained it permanently.
It was returned after many emails, was promised a fix.
Returned to me 2 weeks later and it is more damaged/broken than before! Cracked inner lid and outer body wobbles when it should be taught and firm. It has clearly been bodged by an amateur and this is not a professional repair at all.

I would not recommend them at all because all the way through me reporting these leaks they fobbed me off with clean it and we will send you new bob cassettes which will fix it because the ones I am using are probably faulty! I never accepted that but we as consumers are forced to accept this rubbish and time wasting manoeuvres.

If you want a dishwasher, buy from English retailer because I also had Tax to pay (£80 ish) when first purchased, and it would not clear customs until I made payment, obviously.
But all in all this has been a cr@p experience and I am not finished yet!

You say the after sales team are dealing with it, they aren't exactly rushed off their feet to help hurry this up. I have only had it working for a complete 7 weeks in total, the rest have been emailing you to get this fixed. Alll along you fobbed me off with replacement cassettes like they are the issue! NO the issue is the poorly designed cassette holder tray.

I am not happy with this purchase at all.

And now I also see the price has significantly dropped!

I wonder why?

now all this time later and it is still awol, I do not have it and daan tech are no longer responding to my emails.
This company are seriously BAD.

Efficacité, design

This company are not reliable. Their adverts are designed to mislead. Their promise of free returns, Untrue. Satisfaction or refund untrue. They demand you return at your own expense, by courier & will take 'compensation' from the refund. I am trying to return mine, bought just before Christmas, that has disappointed me, no extras like the much vaunted water pipe were provided & nor was the Carafe seen & promoted in their adverts which are very misleading, nowhere do they say they are extra. I found design faults too, there is no Off button... only by removing the plug do you know its off. No cover for the water inlet making it vulnerable, especially for the outdoor market...all others I've seen do have a closure. I strongly disliked the internet connection, they say its not connected until you log in which I never did.... so how did it know immediately I had registered online ....which you have to do before the machine can be used ?
I also disliked the fact the rinsing water was almost the same as the washing water, bragging about water economy is one thing but rinse water surely should be clear ? Yes, Bob washes dishes but so do many others at a lower price than the 389 euros I paid & with many extras, like a jug, water pipe, fruit basket etc.

The only thing Bob has over competitors is , the choice of colour. Their boast about being 'the worlds smallest dishwasher' is also false.

I bought Bob dishwasher. Bob is easy to use and handle, doesn't take too much space and doesn't require water outlet. Uses small amounts of water and gets the job done. I've been very happy with it. After 7 months of use there arose electric problem. I contacted daan tech and next day received instructions how to fix it my self and videos of the process. They offered to send me parts for fixing it or that I could send bob to them (from Finland to France). I did not trust myself to fix it, so they sent me packing supplies to my door, arranged pick up, fixed it in France and sent it back to me with complimentary dishwash liquid. The whole process took three weeks and the person who guided me through it via email was very pleasant to work with. I was happily surprised by the whole thing. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
