Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 328 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Customers frequently faced major issues with missing packages, severely delayed deliveries, and incorrect drop-off locations that caused significant daily frustration. People also struggled with poor communication, unreliable tracking updates that completely failed to match reality, and unresponsive support teams when trying to find answers. Some reviewers were happy with the staff, noting that individual representatives went completely out of their way to resolve complex delivery troubles and assist with parcel tracking. Consumers genuinely appreciated these dedicated employees who provided prompt communication, offered helpful guidance, and successfully navigated complicated international customs processes.

Terrible Daipost.

I ordered protein from Brissy it got to Sydney over night then sat in the depot 20 mins from my house where it's been for days. I have called more than once and the robot voice sounding lady Jeanette told me its with the delivery team and they say it'll go out. It didn't. I called again same story and she said she's escalate and call me back before end of day. She didn't. At this point they've basically stolen my parcel and are avoiding me. I would avoid these criminals where ever possible. I have followed up everyday for the last 6 days now. Criminals.

Yeah nah but yea

I've had two separate experiences with DAI Post. To be fair, on both occasions their customer service responded within 24 hours and genuinely tried to resolve the issue. At least it wasn't an AI chatbot that immediately closed the ticket without providing any resolution.

While one package ended up being returned to the sender and I had to request a refund, the other was successfully redirected to my address. In both cases, the same sender in the US failed to include my contact details on the parcel, which meant the package was held awaiting additional information from me.

My advice to customers is to keep an eye on the tracking updates. If a parcel gets held up, DAI Post's customer service can often help sort it out before it becomes a bigger issue.

Overall, despite the hiccups, I've had positive experiences with their support team. Good work, DAI Post.

Worst Experience

Bought item off Ebay and even though import duties was collected at check out, DAI tells me my package is stuck at the customs for duties unpaid. After funishing DAI Post with invoices evidencing that duties were paid, no updates, no correspondence. Terrible company! Will not buy from Ebay using their global shipping ever again!

I received messages tracking my parcel…

I received messages tracking my parcel with the last saying that the parcel had been delivered, I was home all day, didn't go out. I went to get my parcel and could not find it anywhere. In our street there are mailboxes with the same house number, there is our, plus the house on the corner which belongs to the corner house for a different street name; often mail gets delivered to the wrong address. If that happens that the incorrect mail is delivered to our property, we take up the hill to give to them. However, when it happens the other way, they don't bring it down to us. I generally have go up and see if there is mail or a package that belongs to us that has been delivered to them. When I couldn't find the parcel I contacted the delivery company informing them of the situation. A member of their support/care team were polite and helpful, indicating that they would investigate what at happened or gone wrong. I received a response with a picture showing exactly where the parcel had been placed. Sure enough the parcel was there, it wasn't obvious when you came through the front gate. Thank you.

How one individual employee in a company can make a differrnce.I received a notification from DAI post…

I received a notification from DAI post informing me that my package had been delivered. I was on vacation at the time. I live in a gated community and any courier delivery is impossible, therefore I've gotten a post office box that receives courier deliveries. The problem with this particular delivery was that I didn't receive a message from the post office letting me know that I had a parcel for collection. Upon my return I contacted DAI post and spoke to a Mr. Sean Gallo who went out of his way to assist me to locate where the package had been delivered to. I finally was able to locate the package which had a mistake in the address and that was the reason for all the confusion. In any case, it was the courteous and helpful way that Sean, who I ended up not only exchanging several email with but also talking to him on the phone several times, who patiently assisted me in resolving the issue. Sean, in my opinion, is a one of a kind legend. He went above and beyond his duty and responsibility, while maintaining his politeness and patience throughout the process. Thank you Sean for making the experience as painless as possible. I would definitely recommend DAI for any further deliveries.

Terrible parcel delivery

Here's the deal. This company will not deliver to your shipping address here in Australia and you'll have to collect your parcel from a collection site. I've experience this in all their deliveries, different orders, different times and not one of my parcels got delivered to my address. I've contacted support and they have replied that the person delivering the parcel has no obligation to "ring the intercom" or call the recipient to collect their parcel.

My package arrived in Sydney on April…

My package arrived in Sydney on April 4, took 5 weeks and $198 to clear customs and was last recorded on tracking on May 6th. As of June 10th tere has been no update for 5 weeks and I was advised to contact the seller to ask them to make a compensation claim. Seller informs me that such a claim can only be made for 30 days after posting. So I'm stuffed as it's been almost 70 days since it was posted and I'm $340 out of pocket with no chance of compensation due to their incompetence. What a useless waste of space DAI is.

DAI Post should not be used for commercial goods.

DAI post is a last-mile mail carrier used by the chosen pirvate mail company of our US based supplier. Our business did not choose DAI post to carry out a Customs entry and was not offered an alternative. Our first contact 12th May 26, was a request for a copy of the commercial inovice (attached to the goods but not examined). DAI Post then demanded AUD$88.00 to commence processing of the N10 Customs decleration. From there, it was a request for a payment receipt for the goods until we advised these were on 30 day terms. We were advised on the 19th May the goods were over the AUD$1000 threshhold (we know that, we ordered them..) and asked if we were willing to pay taxes and duties, showing the amount given and asking us to use the previous invoice number, not a new one. We advised "yes, upon receipt of an inovice for the fees and duties and a copy of the customs entry documentation, as supplied standard by other freight forwarders and required by customs regulations and to ensure that duties (these are AUSAFTA duty-free goods) have been correctly levied. From here it was several back and forth emails claiming to have sent documents (not attached or visible and a phone call requesting the documents until on the 27th May we recived a "screenshot" of a manual N10 entry, not processed via an integrated cargo system and still no invoice. On the 29th of May we recived an invocie (dated 19th May) and made immediate payment. Goods were not released until they nticed the payment (4th June) the releseased goods (9th June) which we recieved on the 10th, which is not hard as by reporting, the goods had been here since the 8TH OF MAY!
DAI Post appears to use many 3rd parties in their business model and does not take into goods for clearance it's posession for examination. Communication us usually next day and even slower between DAI Post's subcontractors.
I would strongly advise any commercial importer to ensure that thier supplier does not use DAI Post or any private mail and freight organisation that does use DAI Post for "last mile" services into Australia.

Extremely disappointed with the…

Extremely disappointed with the service. My parcel cleared customs and was sorted for delivery on 8 June, yet it has sat there with no meaningful movement since. The tracking initially advised an expected delivery of 10–12 June, which was already frustrating given how long it had been held after customs clearance.

I contacted customer service and explained that the parcel was urgently needed, hoping they could assist or at least provide accurate information. Instead, I was told delivery would now be between 12–16 June, despite the tracking still showing an earlier expected delivery date.

The lack of communication, conflicting delivery estimates, and delays after customs clearance have been incredibly frustrating. If there are issues causing delays, customers should be kept informed rather than left chasing answers. Based on this experience, I have little confidence in Dai Post’s delivery timeframes and customer service.

I have someone always at home to receive parcels, never had issues with other delivery or shipping or courier except DAI Post or parcel or whatever shit its called who they claimed delivery failed and insisted for me to self collect instead. Very unreliable courier company

Very unreliable courier company. Their driver says "ATTEMPTED" the delivery, but the fact is, the driver never really did, and he did this twice! Then he decided to leave the parcel at a collection point multiple Suburbs away from the delivery address! What's the point of buying products online if the customers are going to hunt for their parcels far from the delivery address!? What is the point of DAIpost being a courier company if you will NOT deliver the parcel to the door!? STAY AWAY from this company, stay away from KITSCH, who uses DHL who uses DAIpost!

Couldn't be bothered to deliver.

A package of mine small enough to be delivered into our secure letterbox was instead dropped off at a news agency. When contacted DAI said quote "could not be delivered as there was no secure place to leave" I was home the whole day, no attempt was made to contact me through the intercom, or even a calling card left. The weakest of excuses to not deliver a package.

Avoid at all costs if you can

I’m convinced that this isn’t a legitimate company, given the number of bad experiences I have had and the bad reviews I have read. They continually state that they’ve not been able to deliver the items before leaving parcels at depots miles away from the houses they are paid to deliver to. This happened to me today. I was home all day with security cameras on. Not one attempt to deliver was made, yet the parcel is taken to a location 18 km away. They clearly just wanted to go home early. When you call them within their opening hours, they don’t answer. You then try to leave a message but it doesn’t allow you to. It’s a joke.
The unfortunate facts are that when you make an order on eBay, they almost always go with dhl who contract out to DAI Post. If only they wouldn’t!

Poor packaging resulted in damaged item

Parcel took 5 weeks to get here, was held up in Customs with no communication until I queried it.
No wrapping on book, just shoved in a back and as a result the actual book has completely broken free of the hard cover and is now in 2 pieces.
Very poor

Absolutely Appalling Delivery and Customer Care.

I would rate this 0 if I could. There was an issue with my package address but I was not informed at all that there was even an error and after weeks of communication they didn’t know where my package was, they couldn’t tell me anything. And I got an update of empty promises about an update coming soon once a week. After delays and horrid communication and 43 days! From the original delivery date as well as two less patient emails from myself after more than 4 weeks, I finally got my package in a dented/damaged box. I will personally never go through DAI Post as a delivery service ever again given the choice.

The communication was horrible and so was the logistics. I am rarely one to review unless something is outstanding or appalling. My experience certainly was appalling.

Not worth 1 star

Terrible , irresponsible, delivery drivers that deliver packages to the wrong address or leave in plain sight for someone to steal but deemed "left in sight"and the company is terrible at following through with an enquiry amd you have to call and follow up and won't take responsibility for pathetic service they provide and will close the enquiry.

I don't know how they are an operating business.

The customer service staff were terrific , I can not say the same for the delivery staff ! my parcel was supposed to be delivered on the 14th of May , it was delivered on the 27th of May , reason for late delivery? the driver ran out of time! ok , why not next day delivery ? as stated , the customer service folks were excellent at sorting out the problem and keeping me informed .
