Terrible product and customer service

Terrible!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I bought unit last year from best buy used for 3 months. This summer won't work at all did all the trouble shooting. Customer service is awful. Jump thru hoops terrible communication. .buy the in store warranty! I usually do not sure how I missed it for an expensive purchase

One of the worst appliance companies…

One of the worst appliance companies out there. Been a week and they still haven't responded to my email for warranty service. Real scumbags, they just provide an initial response and ask for proof of purchase. Then they disappear. Good luck getting through to anyone on the phone. Never buy products from this garbage company.

They don't even deserve one star! I bought a Danby stove brand new about 3 years ago from a local dealer. Right from the start the burners kept shutting off and on and they did give me new burners but two of them still kept going off and on. Recently the largest burner kept banging and throwing off a giant spark so I ordered a new one, which cost me $60. It keeps shutting off too! Now they want me to pay shipping to send it back and also pay a 15% restocking fee! I will never buy anything from them again! Rippoff!

don’t buy this company products

don’t buy this company products. I bought AC from them and it doesn’t work. when I contacted them for the warranty claim they are not replying. The agent just took the information from me like the receipt and everything but didn’t receive any response from him anymore and his name is Saidul.

Danby Fridges

Normally, I see reviews on products just purchased in the past year. We bought our Danby 4.4 cu ft fridge, for our outdoor cabana over 15 years ago. It’s never been brought inside. Every spring, it starts with no problems and keeps our drinks cold. FYI, we live in Canada, where our temperature can reach minus 30C. We also purchased a Danby glass front beverage centre, for the basement, over 9 years ago, and never had an issue.

Admittedly the customer service lacked for a while but I think Danby has finally changed for the better. First I want to say a lot of the negative reviews are technical issues and a lot of the issues could be from improper installation and use.
Back to my review. Bought an air fryer recently. I dropped it and it stopped working. so my bad. I emailed Danby, they gave me a few options on what to do. one of which was bring the product back to them so they can take a look and repair it for me since I had warranty. 3 weeks later I get emailed saying they found and fixed the issue I can come pick it up when ever. I ended up buying a new on the and returned the old one for half price. So they got back to me quickly. Fixed the problem and gave me a refund

I purchased a top-load washing machine from Danby four years ago, expecting quality and reliable after-sales service. Unfortunately, that's far from what I received. Recently, when a crucial part broke, rendering my machine unusable, Danby's customer service was a complete disappointment.
Upon contacting their service section, I was shocked to learn that the necessary parts for repair are discontinued. Instead of offering a solution, they casually tossed out part numbers and suggested I scavenge the internet for third-party replacements. After tirelessly searching for five days, I came up empty-handed.
It's unacceptable that a company like Danby shirks responsibility for post-sale support. They evade accountability, leaving customers stranded with broken appliances. It's a clear sign of negligence and lack of commitment to customer satisfaction.
I urge potential buyers to steer clear of Danby and any other company that fails to provide reliable post-sale services. Save yourself the hassle and frustration. Don't make the mistake I did by trusting Danby with your hard-earned money.
I'll attach our communication and proof of part unavailability as reference to anyone concerned.

Danby # DDMW1060BSS-6 sucks!!

CASE472215, CASE474703 - Danby Microwave with Air Fryer Model # DDMW1060BSS-6. Initial unit was returned due to apprearing rust & particles formation on the rear plate with the fan, after initial use (1st use to air fry wings). Waited over a week for customer support. Provided second opportunity by ordering same unit, as 1st unit experience could be just a bad unit. On arrival of the 2nd unit, clipped the plastic leg. Absolutely bad quality design, called customer service with no response. Returned the 2nd unit back to Home Depot and this time went with a different brand. Danby used to a reliable, good quality and good service product. Pasting your name on cheap quality chinese goods (mainly Midas), is not a good business strategy and on top of it with bad customer service!!!

My friend purchased an Air Conditioner…Heat Wave and the Air Conditioner doesn't work

My friend purchased an Air Conditioner on or about June 6, 2023. The saleslady and a male employee at the store delivered to her apartment. That's the only good thing that happened. Her landlord helped her set the Air Conditioner up. It did not work. They double checked. She called The Brick, Owen Sound, was told to call the manufacturer, Danby in Guelph. She called them. They hemmed and hawed-didn't know what to do. Some weeks went by. They said they would call her in 5 business days with their decision about what they were going to do!!! No call. She gave them more time. More time went by. They said they would call in 2 business days. No call. Finally they said they were sending an e-mail to The Brick telling them-The Brick to replace the product. Several days went by. I thought e-mails were immediate. This lady has lived through a heat wave, temps in her apartment of 80 deg and higher, high humidity for weeks! 6 weeks after her purchase she still does not have what she paid for. The Brick needs to return every cent of her money...plus some for weeks of ignoring her. How would employees of The Brick and Danby like to be without their Air Conditioners until the end of August. They have forced their customer to live like that. This is terrible customer service!! I've read other reveiws-The Brick and Danby cannot say that they value their customers! Read the proof for yourself! The Brick-return every cent of Vel's money!!! Every cent-no excuses!

Danby Customer Service is Lacking

Purchased the Danby DAP290BAW air purifier from Home depot. Nice unit with nice features, but after only about 2 months of use, we started hearing an annoying whining sound coming from the unit. I contacted Danby by e-mail, since their web site provides NO phone contact info, to try and rectify the issue on this new unit which is still under warranty. I did get a case number assigned, and they asked me by e-mail to send an "audio" file of the sound, so I did so. However, after that, all contact from Danby went dark. I also obtained a phone number off the Internet (800.263.2629), but each time I would be placed on-hold from the beginning, and the call would be terminated after a 15 minute wait. After multiple tries, I finally got through to a customer service representative who said someone will get back to me in 7 to 10 days...by e-mail!! I'm not holding my breath. I am hedging my bet that the current 2-star rating may turn to 1-star in the next few weeks, but so far, I would say I will never purchase another Danby product unless this issue on a very expensive air purifier is rectified.

Run! Worst company and products

Wish zero stars existed.

They purposely build complete junk that is made to fail.
I’m so disappointed in the product and the company.

Awful company, awful products

Bought a danby washer/dryer. It leaks everywhere. And by leaks, I mean pours water out. It caused close to $2000 in damages between my floors and clothing. The dryer part of it doesn't even work, because it just constantly pours water into the machine. Danby customer service won't do anything for it, despite it being under warranty. Will NEVER buy anything danby again.

Oh, and don't trust the reviews on their site. They block any review under 3* from showing on the site as well as from affecting the overall rating.

HORRIBLE SERVICE

I needed 2 filters for a Danby dehumidifIer. Could not find them in Winnipeg and dealt online with Danby. I gave them all the info that they needed, paid for the filters, plus a large shipping fee. They arrived and they were 4 x the size of the filters that I needed and about 1/5 of the height. A completely different material. I have been dealing online with Danby and it is a nightmare. They say it is the proper filter and then ask if I need more service. Absolutely the worst service that I have experienced in my lifetime and I am over 80!! DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM . Waste of money and time

Ordered a AC from them the first days of may. The unit didn´t work at my place.

Contacted support, they told me that they needed technical support to check the unit. They came 3 weeks later. According to them, the AC was working correctly. They are bringing me back my unit at the end of july, when we won't even need an AC In the first place.

Ended up buying other AC, from another brand. This one works great.

What a waste of money this whole ordeal was.

Danby customer service

I ordered a Danby beverage fridge from Premium Home Source. It arrived with the door damaged and it won’t shut or keep a seal.

Premium Home Source won’t exchange the unit because I waited too long to report (my fault - I left the fridge boxes up on the garage until my kitchen renovation was done and never looked at it). But k have a review up with more details about their business practice.

Danby does not offer a replacement door and also no longer sells the product. The fridge won’t seal shut bc of the damaged door. And neither Danby or Premium Home Source will help me. I can’t get a replacement. And I can’t buy a new door. Waste of $1500.
