Never Again

Placed a very large order online. Several items never arrived but shows as "fulfilled". 2 items were damaged on arrival. Another item was clearly used/worn. Another item was poorly made. The total I spent on the missing, damaged, used, faulty items was $264.10. They refunded $20

When I ordered from here it was 4/26

When I ordered from here it was 4/26, I received it on 5/11 - to give a view on how long the process took. That’s totally a normal amount of time for an international package.

The textiles I ordered weren’t the best (I’m kind of picky about fabric, some of their brands are cotton, some are polyester or acrylic)- but they have cheap and interesting alternative clothing that is often heavily discounted. I’ve ordered from them twice and personally have not had issues.

non existent customer service.

can’t give any more stars as their customer service is NON EXISTENT. like, how difficult would it be to employ a couple of people who deal with emails? also, they send their orders in separate parcels. i live in europe and feel even worse about ordering from the other side of the world now (they’re in australia). never again!

DO NOT TO BUY FROM THIS STORE

I purchased a dress from this store and wanted to return it, shouldn’t be a problem right? WRONG! The dress was on a 20% off promotion when I purchased it, therefore they will not refund!!!! The dress was still for available for purchase in the store not a clearance line. I have never seen another store with this policy. I was purchasing for a themed party and would have never purchased from this store if I knew this policy upon purchase. BUYER BEWARE.

Great styles, poor quality.

Staff in store are delightful - always friendly, engaged, happy to help, proactive.

Love the clothes and the stying, but the quality tends to be very poor - quite overpriced considering the cheap materials and poor workmanship.

Online service is very slow - an online order took 3 weeks to arrive, despite the warehouse being located in my same state.

Worst refund policy in the country

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with your extraordinary returns policy of refusing to refund flash sale items.

I purchased two items of clothing on the 28th of October from one of your retail stores and as I had my energetic toddler with me at the time I was unable to afford the luxury of trying on the clothes before purchasing, assuming that I could try them on at home and return them to store within a reasonable time. After trying on the articles I felt as if the cut wasn’t to my liking so I attempted to return the goods to the store of purchase the day after (the 29th), only to be told that refunds weren’t possible on sale items and offered a credit or exchange instead.

I attempted to return a second time (9/11) to discuss the issue with the store manager who reiterated your policy on refusing refunds. The goods were purchased less than 14 days ago, are of your current seasons styles and weren’t on clearance.I also presented the original receipt while attempting to return the items.

While I understand that you may not want to refund sales items and are under no legal obligation to do so, it’s more or less the expected norm that any reputable retail store in Australia will be understanding and accommodating to the customers request for a refund in the effort of maintaining positive customer experience and encouraging future purchases.

To that point I have been shopping at Dangerfield for decades, it is one of my favourite clothing stores and at a guess I probably spend at least upwards of a grand a year on your clothes. I’ve returned many items for a refund throughout the years and never encountered this refusal before, which not only has soured my experience of the brand but given me cause to avoid Dangerfield in the future.

Dangerfield has always been a champion of inclusiveness, therefor it comes as a surprise that your organisation seeks to exclude customers who may not be able to/feel comfortable trying on clothes in store. It’s disappointing to discover that your ethics seem to only extend as far as your sales budgets.

While I have every expectation that my complaints will go ignored and that you will stand firm to your refund policy I remain adamant that my years of shopping with Dangerfield are over, so why would I want a store credit then?

Impossible returns, bad quality accessories.

Orders are often partially canceled due to stock issues. I give two stars instead of one because I do truly love the sweater I've gotten from them. It's one of my favorite sweaters of all time. However the harnesses and belts are generally poor quality and sized incorrectly. The last couple I received the "backing" on the harness was completely unglued all over and made it impossible to fit the straps through the loops. The size guide is useless since individual items don't always list what "brand" they are under and each one varies wildly. I typically wear M-L in clothing but even the medium belts are harnesses are massive on me, while a large jumpsuit was pretty tight.

If you live outside of AU returns are impossible and the full cost of shipping back is on the returner. You also can't leave reviews for individual items on their site, so you have no way of knowing if the item you're looking at is generally good quality or not. It makes me sad because I really like the style but I've wasted too much money on things I can't return that simply don't fit and are not made well.

Good luck getting a refund

Ordered online and returned some items back instore for a refund as they didn't fit. Was unable to get a store credit or refund instore and was told the refund would be processed by admin back originating payment method within 5 days. It has now been 3 weeks and unable to get a response from their "Support" team as to when the refund will be processed. A formal dispute has been lodged to the ACCC.

Issues EVERY SINGLE TIME I order from Dangerfield online

EVERY SINGLE TIME I order online from Dangerfield there's an issue. I placed my current order 8 days ago and still no shipping confirmation. It always takes forever for orders to ship - and when they finally do - half of the items are missing (bc they're "out of stock"). Not once have I received everything that I ordered. They'll credit you for the missing items but not refund you. It's so frustrating because the brand is great quality, and the in-store teams are great, but the online experience is just awful.

Never ever online again

Bought 1 item through their new click and collect service with the promise of collection within 2-4 days. I already knew their online shipment delays were MONTHS long but given this was click and collect of an item I knew they had in store I though it wouldn't be a problem.
WRONG.
2 weeks later it still had not been actioned so I requested a refund so I could just buy in store. 1 week later Still no answer apart from the auto generated ones. Next email I sent was telling them I would be raising a PayPal case for a refund.
I got my refund 15 minutes later.
Will never ever buy from their online store ever under any circumstances.
Luckily their staff instore a wonderful otherwise I'd ditch them all together.
Online buyer beware.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. I would never have ordered from them if I had known how bad their processing times would be and customer service was. It says 2-3 days for processing on their website but I have waited over 10 days for my order to be sent which it still has not. I needed it for tomorrow so I will be returning everything I have brought. I am hoping I will be able to get a refund but it is looking unlikely considering the amount of people on here saying they haven’t been able to get one. I will never be a customer of Dangerfield again. Stores are useless also, they can’t give me a number to call and are very unapologetic. Fix your customer service, it is appalling. $200 wasted on your company, wish I never ordered!

Still no dispatch…

Purchased two items on the 15th and they haven’t been dispatched yet. They estimate dispatch to be 1-3 days on their website and I’m now at 8 if you account for the fact that Monday was Labour Day. I emailed them yesterday to check in but after reading the reviews I’m not expecting a response. I’ve had no contact bar order confirmation.
Given that they’re so expensive for minimal quality, I’d at least expect even average customer service but so far it feels like a scam.

i want my money back

the quality of the clothes is good but the customer service is shocking. they ignore your emails if you ask them to cancel an order, and then refuse to refund you but instead insist on giving you a gift card, i just want my money back, a gift card isnt a refund! ive emailed 5 times about my return and i feel ignored. maybe their stores are okay but the online shop is possibly the worst ive ever seen

Brilliant customer service

Can't thank Rebecca at Bendigo Store enough for her brilliant customer service, she went above and beyond sourcing sizes in a dress that I wanted for my grandaughter, and getting them sent to her store! She is truly an employee who deserves some praise from her employer!

8 weeks waiting for order

8 weeks waiting for order, customer service are useless, I received part of my order last week but waiting over 8 weeks for a hair clip that is clearly brand new still available on the website is ridiculous, more than happy to take your money but will not ship out your orders, I used to love dangerfield but this is the last straw, also please don’t advertise things when you have no stock, this is false advertising.

Waiting 1 month for my order

I ordered almost a month ago and they haven’t even shipped my items. I contacted them through their website and got an email back days later saying to send it to a different email and still haven’t heard anything. Have requested a refund and haven’t heard back.

Scammers / No Customer Support

Firstly, it took them over 14 days to half ship an order. This being after I attempted contacting them to cancel it due to their wait times and not needing it anymore. Well, almost 30 emails and customer service request I have still not had a response. Eventually the half of the order that did come was such terrible quality I took it straight instore for a refund - well, they only gave me a credit. I am still chasing half of the remaining order and it's been a month now. I just want my money and a refund for the huge fees I paid in shipping. I have even contacted the ombudsmen because they simply are a scam.
