DataTech was awesome. Tamilyn was efficient and provided great assistance. They retrieved my files and the process was less than 2 weeks from start to finish.

While transferring, organizing and deleting photos from my camera discs to my external hard drive to be organized before uploading to Google, my drive suddenly stopped reading. Not knowing of Data Tech yet, I took it to a big box store who told me three weeks later that none of the data was retrievable.
I wasn't ready to give up so I brought my drive to Data Tech (on a later recommendation) for a second opinion. I tearfully handed over five years of pictures that were not backed up to Google yet and hoped to receive a different answer. Rickey was so nice. He understood that he held my daughter's high school years, a few international trips and five years of photos of experiences that could not be replaced. He also recommended that I bring in my photo discs to see what they could retrieve from those sources as well.
Rickey collaborated with the Techs that he knew had the best experience for this job and he provided me progress updates along the way. He was personable with me, didn't make promises of the end result, but reassured me that the best people were on the job and they would do what they could.
Four weeks later, Data Tech was able to retrieve 6/7 of my photo discs and 91% of 2TB of pictures, including the most sentimental ones. At a glance, I believe that some of the other 9% are viable as well.
I am so relieved that I received the recommendation to visit Data Tech. They retrieved five eventful years of my life and saved me from a meltdown. I hope that I don't need their services again, but now I know where to go if needed and where to refer anyone else who has lost data. The whole staff is amazing.

Recovered the drive and the key's that were on it. Kind of pricey but I would recommend Data Tech Labs for this service.

They recovered every bit of data from an external WD hard drive. Even stuff which were deleted before. What more can I ask for!
Costs a lot But that’s the price to pay for not backing up 20 yrs of data.

Very prompt, courteous and professional. They said it would take about 5 business days to complete, but finished the job in 2 business days and recovered the entire data from my crashed hard disk, which contained memorable family photos, documents etc. Mike D'Cruz and his team at the Boston Center are my life savers.

Even though you think your data backup strategy is beyond improvement, the odds can sneak up on you. Your backups can fail to provide 100% of your data. You risk losing critical data that could require hundreds of manhours to recover and then are still unable to enter all that was lost.
Your fear of being totally vulnerable to being unfairly overcharged is very concerning.
I reached out to DataTech for help. Rickey listened to my situation and immediately, less than 1 hour, arranged for me to take my crashed hard drive to their local office for evaluation of its condition. In less than 2 hours they determined that they would be successful in recovering most, if not all, of the data. Rickey then gave me a detailed estimate of cost and completion date. They successfully recovered 100% of my data two days later, (three days earlier than quoted). I can highly recommend DataTech for recovering any data you might have lost.

They are really friendly and quick. I lost photos on a hard drive (6,000+) that they recovered & then they showed me exactly where to find them on the recovered drive.
