Looks sturdy. Wish there were more colors to chose from. Ordering and delivery handled very well and arrived ontime. Will try it when it’s rainy and windy to check its performance.

The Davek Elite is a great umbrella: sturdy, handsome, big enough for two but not unwieldy in an urban setting.

Enough has been written about the brolley itself, I'd like to say that the folks in the Chelsea HQ, although not sales staff, instead of directing me to a retailer happily took time away from their phones and spreadsheets to help me select and buy their umbrella. When there's good people behind a good product, why buy anything else?

I have purchased 5 umbrellas from Davek. This experience was their model, Savile. The chestnut wood handle lost it's shape due to high humidity, and being hung up by the handle. I took pictures of this issue, and Davek replaced immediately, no questions asked. Amazing. Also, every product I have purchased from Davek has been excellent quality.

First of all, the umbrella is absolutely amazing.

I live in a high rain area in Scotland so I have to use it all year round. I think because of this my one wore down quickly.

I opened a warranty claim and within 10 minutes someone responded. A new one arrived at my door within a week.

If you buy any other umbrella you're going to have a wet time. I've bought a lot of products with warranties and really they're often not honoured. This is one of the best I've encountered.

I would never buy another umbrella from ur company ...I wanted to return one of the umbrella I brought u said I had to return on my own.....not a good business u are doing...

I bought two Davek umbrellas because I was tired of having to replace umbrellas so often, believing that paying more would mean better quality. No such luck. These umbrellas are trash. They broke faster than any I've had. The fabric is thin and the frame is weak. I asked for a replacement and had to pay $15 postage. The replacement broke soon after I received it. The larger umbrella I bought from them came apart while I was using it. The handle just fell off the shaft in my hand. I haven't bothered asking for a replacement because of my last experience with them. These umbrellas are not worth the $15 postage to replace them. What a rip off! This is a most unethical company to deal with. I buy almost everything online and this is my first bad experience of online shopping. Please save yourself the frustration of dealing with these crooks.

Davek is a special product. I had many different models , smaller and bigger. I like the design and they are robust. However they have limited life. Some of them were broken quite rapidly. For example the metal clamp started to rotate and the parts broken. The cap on top is falling easily. I never returned the products because my location is far. I advice Davek if they already use a chip to find lost umbrella to put a chip in umbrella for instant registration when is sold , and cancel the use of cards. I always lost the cards because it is not convenient to keep them.

It's definitely a nice-looking, conveniently-sized product, and I'm sure it will serve its purpose for one person. The idea that it can be virtually carried in one's pocket while one walks through NYC is great. The only thing that always irks me about these small umbrellas is that once you open them it's difficult, if impossible to get them back into their original sizes for compartmentalizing them again. That said, it's a nice umbrella.

There were no instructions included about how to open and close the umbrella I received. (I didn't want to force it.)
I will find your website and look for instructions, but I would have preferred to get that information with the product. I have never had trouble opening an umbrella before.
