Jordon came down to check it thoroughly. Once he was happy the paperwork was sent and complete, with payment following promptly.

Fabulous service

We decided just to have a look at a golf R dealt with Jack who was very friendly and knowledgeable.
We took it for a test drive then we exchanged my x5 for the golf within half an hour 🤣
Absolutely love it totally recommend this garage .
Jack has been fantastic can’t recommend enough ❤️

Great communication from Kylan.
Sold my GTi and got the best price I could find.
Transaction was straight forward money in the bank straight away.. and stress free. Jordan came to assess my vehicle and he was very professional and thorough…
Overall I had a smooth stress free transaction and cannot fault them in any way.

Dealt with Kylan to sell my car

Dealt with Kylan to sell my car, from the first interaction it was very professional and easy. No pressure to sell, was never hounded. The price was very fair to what I was looking for and more than other local and national businesses. Car was collected from my house with all paper work completed promptly. Will happily use again to sell. Thanks again.

Car sold to David James limited

Kylan made the process very simple. A good guide of what was expected from our end and an agreed transparency from both sides made for a seamless process. Taylor came to check and collect the car, which was as we had described and shown, and the car was paid for within the hour at the previously agreed price with no silly haggling.

Sales side as always with many car…

Sales side as always with many car dealers…..charming.
The whole truth and nothing but the truth may be not so honest especially their video appraisals, and my purchase from them far from being the perfect car it was relayed to me via video. Just be honest please. Tyres had 1mm left on them before change required on a £43,000 purchase. More stone chips on it then my other 10 year old Macan, this one only 4 + years old….described as immaculate !
Within 10 minutes of purchase fault noticed on fluctuating oil pressure gauge…..is this not checked by the buyers or the service side of the company, they are the professionals not me ! Now having to be sorted by the warranty people after 1 day of purchase, which cost me a further £399.00 What happened to the industry standard 3 month warranty claim !!

We are naturally disappointed with a three-star rating, as we always aim to deliver a five-star experience for every customer.

For clarity, the tyres supplied with the vehicle measured approximately 3.5mm, with the UK legal minimum being 1.6mm. They were therefore well within legal limits and did not require replacement at the point of sale.

In terms of condition, the vehicle was presented and described as a genuine, well-maintained example. It was not advertised as “immaculate,” and we believe the condition was accurately reflected for a vehicle of its age and mileage.

With regard to the oil pressure switch concern, we were contacted the following day after collection. As this appears to have been a sporadic electrical component failure that could happen at anytime, we acted promptly to involve the warranty provider immediately to ensure the matter could be resolved as efficiently as possible, particularly given the distance involved. Our intention was to minimize inconvenience and expedite the repair.

We have the date diarised for the 5th to ensure the repair is carried out swiftly should you require any further assistance and thank you again for your feedback.

Just sold my BMW M340d and was offered…

Just sold my BMW M340d and was offered a very competitive price. I dealt with Kylan who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I sold the car from distance and the process was very easy. Gave an honest description and was given an honest price. When they came to collect there was no renegotiation. The amount that was offered was the anount paid. All payments were made within half an hour of arriving at my property to check over the vehicle would give 10 starts if could seamless transaction.

ZERO stars

ZERO stars. Terrible communication skills. I phoned up to enquire and pay deposit for a car and was told that the conversation could continue over WhatsApp. After discussing finance terms over WhatsApp I was then told the car was now taken as another customer had paid deposit. The feeling here was that a customer had been in to see the car and as I called up to enquire, this prompted them to quickly usher me off the phone, and then all of a sudden the car is now gone, with no information whatsoever despite being in continuous conversation with them. The car had already been advertised for 2-3 months so it’s not as if it was very popular. Utterly disgraceful service and highly recommend to AVOID!!!!

Be warned!

Purchased a luxury vehicle from these, was told I have 3 months warranty and no need to extend it for 3 months, but after 6 weeks engine light came on and when I called the warranty company they told me I dont have warranty. I then called david james ltd and was told that the car did not come with warranty, when I asked "why did you lie to me" they had no answer and put the phone down, each time I tried calling they would answer then phone then hang up! They will sell you a polished pile of poo and wont back up their own words! Stay away! I have full recorded proof of what was told to me from the start of the sale to each phone call... lucky to get 1 start... no option for 0 stars as these guys are professional con artists when it comes to warranty... can't believe they blatantly lied like that

That trade customer collected the vehicle directly from us, negotiated the purchase on a trade basis, and subsequently sold the vehicle on to you.

As such, David James did not sell the vehicle to you, did not enter into any contract with you, and is not responsible for representations made by the party who later sold the vehicle on.

Any concerns regarding the vehicle, warranty, or representations made at the point of sale should be directed to the seller you purchased the vehicle from, not David James.

Great company, very professional and trustworthy

Sold my BMW X4 to this company and was really pleased with the whole process. CJ handled the sale and was so easy to deal with - professional, friendly and kept me informed throughout. Taylor collected the car on the scheduled day and despite a small family emergency at the time, was happy to wait and extremely patient. After inspecting the car, I was paid promptly. I would highly recommend this company for buying or selling your car!

I sold my delightful BMW 330e (24…

I sold my delightful BMW 330e (24 plate) to David James on 15 October 2025. Both parties were very happy with the transaction, and I even left a glowing review shortly after the sale to express my satisfaction.
However, just a few hours after posting that review, I realised I had accidentally left behind an umbrella with great sentimental value inside the car. I immediately contacted the David James employee who handled the purchase to ask for assistance in retrieving it, only to be informed that the umbrella could not be found. This was deeply disappointing, as the umbrella had always remained in the car and could not realistically have been misplaced elsewhere.
This incident unfortunately cast a shadow over what had otherwise been a wonderful experience. Keeping someone else’s belongings, whether intentionally or through negligence, is unacceptable, and one would expect any reputable dealership’s ethics and conduct policies to address such matters thoroughly.
To make matters worse, after showing little interest in helping me recover my umbrella, the David James representative (whom I prefer not to name) later contacted me with a query about a supposedly missing car charger, an item I had already handed over to their driver at collection. This felt as though it was being raised merely to offset or “balance out” my report of the missing umbrella, which only added to my disappointment.

Having revisited this matter internally, we can confirm that when you contacted us about the umbrella, the team acted immediately. As we operate across multiple sites, the vehicle had already been moved to our preparation centre. The member of staff you dealt with personally contacted the team there and even attended the site himself to physically check the vehicle and preparation areas.

No umbrella was found at any stage.

We would never knowingly retain a customer’s personal belongings. Items left in vehicles are routinely set aside and owners are contacted so arrangements can be made for prompt return. An umbrella would, of course, have no relevance or value to our business, and had it been located it would have been returned to you immediately.

With regard to the charging cable query, this was a standard check during appraisal, as plug-in hybrid vehicles are expected to be supplied with their charging equipment. It was entirely procedural and unrelated to your report.

We are genuinely sorry this has detracted from what was otherwise a very positive transaction.
