Not the best

My first order with them was generally decent - Louis sent me a quote, I paid for it and it was ready for collection the next day. I thought I'd return to buy more timber (I'm not a builder! Just a hobbiest and DIY'er!) for the same project - this time the experience wasn't great.

My first quote request was for some dowling - that came out at £60+ - the project is a dog gate lol £60 is ridiculous.

I was then quoted for some stripwood except it was £3 extra (compared to the website price) for each piece of stripwood. When I queried why the price was so different to the website, I was told that they charge for their cutting service.

This made it £18 extra. £18 for them to cut 6 pieces of 20mm stripwood.

This was all via email for reference.

I don't know if it's because I'm female (more than likely), if the first order was a mistake (the first order was in line with their website prices) or if they just don't actually want domestic projects as their business - despite what the website claims.

But either way, I won't be returning. Shame. Although I suspect....they don't care haha

I purchased 18 pieces of Cedar Shiplap…

I purchased 18 pieces of Cedar Shiplap and after collecting and driving home was informed by the builder that 2 of them were unusable, one split and one as off cut. On contacting the company I was informed that I should have checked them when I collected them. They were all wrapped and as I paid more than £600 for them, I would think that they would not need checking! I was then informed I would not be compensated and would have to take them back. Considering it is a 5 hour journey and more than 200 miles, it would not be cost effective. I would recommend not using this company.
