While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Metadata Not Reliable.

It sometimes fails to find the artists and track titles on a loaded CD. I was using an old version (15.0) so I paid to upgrade to 16.4 but it made no difference.

To be fair, sometimes it works perfectly. But quite often it doesn't!

The information is out there, because Windows Media Player (I use W'7) names each track title (but not the artist). So it must be DbPoweramp which fails to find it.

Groundhog Day

If you are looking for an alternative to Windows or Itunes CD writing software this is NOT that alternative.

Yet you find this company easily when browsing for this capability.

You spend £34 plus downloading the software and low and behold there is no CD writing capability. So it does not do what it says on the tin - as it were.

There is a forum on this site and you get this response:
"Yes, forget about CD Writer. This product has been discontinued for years. There are alternative products for free.

Now I have the uphill struggle to get my money back when the product does not do the ONE thing I wanted it to.

Otherwise this is the Goundhog Day loop:

CD Writer requires Music Converter R13 Reference or Newer

Of course you can keep reinstalling the same old software but this only brings you back to that loop.
