Worth it
The magazine nearly always arrives a few days before before its in the shops. If it doesn't you can call DC Thompson and a new copy is sent out, no questions asked. This has only happened 3 times in nearly 18 years. Well worth the subscription, its cheaper and you always get your copy.

I enjoy receiving both my weekly delivery, also my 3 week delivery of the Peoples friend special, I don't have to go to a shop to buy,only problem is if and when the post office delivers.

CUSTOMER FOR OVER 30 YEARS OF A GREAT MAGS & SERVICE
As a long-time customer of on-line ordering I find that DC Thomson provide the goods! It would be exceptional for The Peoples Friend not to arrive on the due date and I have never missed an issue in over 30 years.

I have peoples friend special
I have peoples friend special. I really enjoy this especially the mini mystery story and the cooking and craft. This is delivered. I also have the digital copies of the People’s Friend . They are really interesting and have a wide variety of things in them

I subscribe to The People's Friend & get my copy in the post which is really useful, it also sets the price for the year if there are increases which is appreciated.
The stories are good, the articles are good, the recipes are good.

I really enjoy People's Friend
I really enjoy People's Friend, it's full of interesting factual pages, with 11 short stories and at least 2 series. Travel articles and puzzle pages to keep the brain going and one of my favourite is the Farmer and his wife always makes me smile. Good health advice and lots more. Carry on the good work

Really like the magazine but too many DD price increases
Really like the magazine. Rather disappointed in how frequently the direct debit increases, despite this being advertised as the cheapest way of paying which when you take into account the regular increases, the biannual or triannual rate would have been significantly cheaper.

Unfortunately we do need to adjust our prices on occasion to reflect the costs of printing and publishing, but we do try to keep costs as low as possible for our readers. The magazine is great. the down side is the delivery. It is very difficult now as we do not recieve regular post.
