Most parents generally teach their children not to be two faced but not helen. She had no problem whatsoever with allowing becky to make a variety of negative remarks about the other students and then smile in their faces. The two of them, Helen and Becky, are HUGE ATTENTION SEEKERS. No matter how many performances even solos they put themselves in for recitals, they'll often make last minute changes so they can be in the front row and deliberately place ethnic students in back rows at recitals.
