Easy to order, very helpful delivery driver, very pleased overall

Slate was good quality when it arrived.

Despite phoning 3 times on date of delivery and being given a different delivery window each time (but being assured the delivery would happen each time!) the item did not show up. On the latest call I was told 17.15 arrival, once this did not happen I tried calling again but received no answer.

Ended up getting a call the next day saying the delivery was 20 minutes away and had to scramble to find someone who could go and sign for it as I was over an hour away.

A shame the experience was so poor as the slate received was high quality and delivered exactly where required.

Nothing on the Saturday. Now no communication, confirmation, tracking. Terrible customer service. Just want the order cancelled.

. Can’t fault the order to delivery time, but the stuff is a bit naff. Ok I read the description, black slate with a few hints of gold/yellow here and there,,, should have read a blackush slate with loads of impurities, I reckon 25% gold/yellow.
But I’ll live, will get some pure slate elsewhere and treat this stuff as a sub base.
Update your description and photo’s please to give a fairer representation of the goods.

Shame really as I was looking at this to use on the whole site, but, it ain’t up to spec

Ordered a sample from this company and the product was delivered quickly and was of good quality. The only issue is that now now I want to order the product properly, the delivery charge is £52.80 for a basket worth £14.98! Real shame as I would have ordered from here. Would recommend if you're in an area where delivery charges aren't extortionate.

ring on fraudulent. buried in ts and cs are conditions that conflict directly with what the operator on teh phone said. They will not deliver to any road with any form of yellow or red line and will dump pallett in road as not insured to take across a property theshold. Courier lied about no one being at my house either and then got charged over £50 haulage for a failed delivery. Very dodgy company

Very expensive delivery for the bulk bag, £35 per bag is rip off, selling the crushed product, 40 % is crushed and looks like an MOT 1, the customer associate are refusing to accept returns free of charge

I give this company one star reluctantly as you have to provide at least one star to proceed with a review. Had a delivery today from this company, well I say delivery ...the chippings we ordered (2 tons) arrived at the bottom of the lorry where both bags had split!! The driver informed that he wouldn't except them as he'd probably loose more getting them from the lorry to where we wanted the bags placed. The driver informed 'ring them up for either a refund or another delivery'. When I contacted this company I was informed that I'd have to pay a re-delivery fee of £84. Hang on a minute, this company have delivered goods not fit for purpose in split bags that I would have had to sweep out of the back of a lorry to use!! The girl in the office kept repeating 'terms and conditions '. We hadn't paid for delivery in the first place but when faulty goods are delivered, you have to pay £42 a bag to be re-delivered to you!!
This company are utter con merchants. When we asked for a full refund rather than a re-delivery they still with held £84!! The 'chippings' they delivered where also not as advertised and very poor quality.

Ordered a Bulk Bag (800kg) of Rhinegold Gravel 10mm delivery due on 2nd November. Driver refused to drive to a real access road and stated he could only leave on the road outside the front of the property. The access road around the back of the property is navigated by dustcarts, cement lorries and many, many other delivery vehicles all either 18ton or bigger. On speaking with a sales advisors at Decorative aggregates I was asked to send in pictures of the access road along with measurements of the width of the road. This was duly done with photos showing both dustcart and cement lorries down the road. Note the road is 4m wide at its narrowest.
The following day I was contacted stating that the delivery failed the day before because its down to the driver on the day weather he makes the delivery or not and if he feels he cannot then it's his choice, no recognition that the access road is completely suitable. So if the driver gets out the bed on the wrong side god forbid you.
What I was offered, wait for it, a courier could make the delivery at a cost of £170. Goods only cost £118,unbelievable they had the notion to think that was a good deal. Finally other that excepting a re-delivery with the same potential outcome (depending on the drivers mood) I had to settle for a £48 returns charge 40% of the goods purchased.

Ordered some slate but it looked nothing like what was on the website pictures. I was told it was because it was a close up image of the product, but the ruler to show scale was saying different I tried to exchange it and order an extra 6 ton on top in a better quality slate at a higher price but was told we can’t and you have to pay the returns. Very unprofessional and very unpleasant to deal with. Avoid this place your time isn’t worth it. I am also referring this matter to trading standards. I took my £1875 minus the £127 charge to take the product back and the initial £127 totalling delivery of the old product, and went elsewhere.

Ordered 40mm 50bags plum slate(logic told me easier to move than a big bag and I was right!)
Firstly, on the day chosen delivery, prompt emails confirming date, polite driver who placed pallet where I asked! 10/10
Second, the slate is good quality and chunky just as as I wanted. It did need a good clean as expected. Overall it looks amazing! 10/10
Thirdly, I would 100% use again due to good experience and good competitive pricing. Planning the next project. 10/10
Lastly- don't move slate when you've a bad back folks, but if you do at least you'll have a patio to recover on!

Bought polar white pebbles. Been a week and they’re turning yellow. Poor quality.

Ordered 100 bags of 40mm grey slate chippings (2 pallets worth) on Saturday 20th August and asked for delivery on Friday 26th August. Slate was delivered on the day requested and is great quality and a really nice colour when washed off. Delivery driver was friendly and the whole experience was positive.

Ordered 20mm of slate and got delivered 40mm but was labelled as 20mm. This was at a time 20mm was in short supply. Either they are very incompetent or tried it on with me. Think I know which! Will not use them again.

I ordered a bulk bag of gravel and arranged delivery for Wednesday. I received an SMS and an email informing me delivery would be on Wednesday. Waited in all day, no delivery. Looked on the haulier's website on Thursday, tracker says delivery before 12 on that day. No delivery by 12.30 so I phoned them up. Was told delivery would be that afternoon. Waited in all day, no delivery. Friday website tracker said before 12noon. Finally arrived at 10 am. Lovely driver named Carl moved it all the way to my back garden gate. Was very helpful and even wished me a happy birthday.
I understand there is a shortage in the haulier industry at the moment, but I've had a few deliveries now of palleted items in the past few weeks and all arrived when I was told they would arrive, only this delivery was late. Also, this shortage has been going on for quite some time now, plenty of time to sort out logistics and know what your capacity is able to handle. This is the responsibility of the haulier but as the company that has hired them, it is your responsibility too.
Gravel was good and as described but with your unfortunate choice of haulier, I'm only giving 2 stars.

Ordered a small sample of pebbledash for a repair- just £5.99 postage paid- despatched same day and arrived in 40 hours. Looks great but very new, no doubt it will weather down.
All I have to do now is mix mortar and chuck it at the wall. Highly recommended.
