Instruction is easy to follw.
I have seen Dec Play Piano being advertised often but took me a while to enrol to a class. It is very easy to follow and not pushy which I like. I am not a young person and find it not easy to use the computer. Luckily I have someone to help me nearby. I hope to carry on with the lessons even though slowly.

Paid £267.00 in full on the 14th December 20/24 then I received an hidden extra charge of £17 on 13th January 20/25 .
No contact number no live chat so you will have to wait days for a reply even though it is a UK company
Unfortunately I have lost trust in this company .
Their website says the course over 36months cost less than £89 per year but the extra £17 a month over 36months on it’s own will cost extra £612

With regards to your point about only getting automated emails, we reply to all emails personally. The first email I can see on our system (from your registered email address) was today at 11:12 this was replied to within 3 hours later by one of my colleagues.
I have replied to each of the 4 separate emails you have sent today. I am concerned that you may not have fully read our emails as I note that in the last few minutes, you have replied to our email which confirmed your refund, yet you are still asking when you will receive confirmation of the refund. I have also left a message on your answerphone and I am not sure what else I can do to make it clear that we have already refunded your money in full and have sent several emails confirming this.
The price you paid for the 3 years Beginners Course was £ 267 which equates to £ 89 per year. When you bought the course, you opted to add the DecPlayers Club to your order, at £ 17 per month with a 30 day free trial. This club provides additional ongoing services including priority email support, community services (Facebook and Zoom calls, buddy scheme ...), extra lessons, extra song sheets each month.
The prices were shown on the order form and the confirmation emails that you received, so I am surprised that you consider them to be 'hidden charges'.
I appreciate everyone has a different view on what they expect from a course, but we are very proud of our services and proud that over 90% of students have awarded the maximum 5 stars to DecPlay on TrustPilot. Thousands of our students have achieved outstanding results with our course and so we are happy to give you a full refund, as you feel the course is not for you.

A bit disappointed
While I’m only up to lesson 37 and I think I’m doing okay, I feel the purchase of close to $600 NZ is expensive for what I’ve got.
I feel isolated, and on seeking information about joining the Facebook DecPlay group, I’ve discovered I have to belong to the community DecPlay group at an ongoing cost before I can join Facebook.

I appreciate everyone has a different view on what they consider good value for money, but one of the reasons that over 93% of students have awarded the maximum 5 stars to DecPlay on TrustPilot is that the results that they get are vastly better than other piano courses or piano lessons, many of which cost far more than DecPlay.
In order to keep the cost of the DecPlay course as accessible as possible, we charge a one off fee for the Beginners Course (3 years access) and a separate monthly fee for the ongoing monthly services (the 'DecPlayer Club'), including priority email support, community services (Facebook and Zoom calls, buddy scheme ...), extra lessons, extra song sheets each month. This allows people who don't want the DecPlayer Club services to access the course at the lowest price possible.
We don't want lack of money to be a barrier to learning piano however and so we offer a scholarship scheme for people who can't afford the standard prices. I will send you details of this on email.

Our system also shows that this email was opened by you on the same day at 6.27pm, but perhaps you didn't realise that was the log in details, or that you could email our support team for help at any time.
As soon as we saw your feedback, we re-sent you the log in details, which I note have now enabled you to access the course. I hope you are now happy with the course, but if you have any questions, please reply to any of the emails we have sent you and we will get back to you.

I found his course much easier than other piano courses. It's really good for those with no music reading skills, or like me, are a little old to begin learning music. All you need is access to a keyboard.

It's hard to find the words to do this course justice. Absolutely wonderful is a start. I started in March 2023 and I'm delighted with my progress. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be playing the piano like this after a relatively short time. There is something for everyone, people play songs rapidly with this method and for those that want to progress there is a course named Proplay. Its brilliant. As well as the courses there is a fabulous facebook group where you find support and encouragement and I've been fortunate to have formed great friendship with others in the group. Regular live meetings help to make me feel connected. I love the challenge of learning something new and feeling successful. I’m in my eighties and don’t like walking in this icy weather so enjoy having an indoor activity. I can spend hours at the piano without noticing the time.
