3. very transparent cost structure, very low rates :in the US 2Euro per deal, options at 0,50Euro plus spread
4. unique transparent monitoring of gain/losses not realized and total gain/losses per position ( accumulating the past.

Degiro overpays your taxes!
In a nutshell: Degiro pays too much taxes on your dividends. Be aware of that.
I have been using Degiro for a number of years, and generally it is a simple, no-nonsense broker.
However, I had to realize now that Degiro is refusing to help me get back my overpaid taxes. Background: Degiro is paying withholding taxes to the IRS on any dividends from US stocks. So far, that is completely normal. With tax treaties in place, customers - like me - can get back part of their taxes from the IRS.
To do so, I - and any other customer - needs a form 1042-S issued by Degiro. Unfortunately, Degiro does not issue that form to its customers.
I have read online, that other customers of Degiro faced the same issue. In contrast, Revolut apparently issues such a form to users - without them even having to request it.
If, in addition, as in my case, the IRS learns about your dividends from US stocks. They ask you to pay taxes on it - because they have no record that you, as an individual have ever paid taxes on them.
Hence, go to another broker if you don't want to pay more taxes than you are obliged to.

indifference toward their customers
I tried to registered on the platform in
September 2024. On the first login, when asked to provide my personal details, the app just blocked and I couldn't move forward. Despite I reached out the customer service several times (until May 2025), nobody really took ownership of this issue. I have never seen a company with such level of disengagement in terms of customer acquisition. I can just imagine what is their level of interest in retaining their customer base. Advised against
