Makes editing my Youtube videos so fast and easy. It really got me over the "hump" to lunch my channel.

Hard to switch profiles & stop launching itself!

Please make it easier to switch between profiles. I use different profiles for different projects (that are paid separately) but it's a real pain to go between profiles. Takes me at least 30 minutes, which is ridiculous. Just stop automatically signing me in!!

Also, please stop adding Descript to open every time I boot up. I keep removing it, and it keeps adding itself back. I can't run Descript in the background always, so I only want it when I need it.

I love the concept, I love the idea, but I am very disappointed with the execution.

It's buggy, clitchy, lagging, and not intuitive when it comes to editing.

I feel this has been launched too early. There should be no reason for a user to have to go through numerous pages of helps to troubleshoot, just to make the program work properly in the first place.

If this was a free experience I would understand and be far more gracious, but this is paid. Make a product that works - don't make your paying customers work for workarounds.

For many of us, technical ignorance keeps us from expressing ourselves in the new way of communicating. This program has allowed me to power past the obstacles, giving me the ability to create, edit, and post videos. It's a game-changer, and it's shown up at the perfect time.

it is awful. it cannot finish processing a simple 1 min video in the free version. I am wasting money on a weak app that doesn't work.

I absolutely LOVE the simplicity of Descript. My only wish is for a Face filter for those of us who are vain...face smoothing would be awesome!

I love the ease of the platform. I save so much time with editing videos and podcasts. I love the AI tools to quickly write content that I need to go along with my videos and podcast.
But it still is not my only platform I use to edit with. I still go to a professional video editing platform to fine-tune my audio. Many times the audio on Descript comes across to robotic for my liking.

To bad that Descript doesnt support HDR, Further it is great

Using photos, images and short videos, created from my poems, I can have a video-poem, that is, a video with images, sounds, the written poem and a speaker reciting it in Portuguese, English, French or Spanish.

Excellent product, great support when needed. I couldn't do my video editing any other way!

all things are great. specially the power of underlord make this system really effective. my concern is just with the speed and response time of underlord. sometimes it takes a lot of time to apply the effects and editing even though i am using descript on fairly poweful gaming laptop

My experience has been very good, except I would like to have options to pay for additional AI dub hours; also I would love if there was a window with links to all the features, in alphabetical order, so that I don't have to waste so much time, looking for features to do my work. A lot of times, not even ChatGPT knows exactly where the features are. So if they were listed in alphabetical order, even when they are updated, I could still find them easily and fast.

The app has some clear weaknesses. For example, it struggled to perform certain tasks effectively, such as voice cloning or accessing the microphone, and offered no alternative methods or workarounds. Additionally, when I canceled my subscription halfway through the month, I lost access to features I had already paid for, even though my payment covered the full month.

This software makes it very easy to edit your own videos, especially if you're making simple edits like trims and using their AI features to improve the sound and remove filler words. I wish it was easier to use layers and tracks.

Tjust tried it out. 35 dollars for 4 hours of misery. I had 4k footage, exceeding 20gb per clip. When using the saas i was informed that it wasnt uploadable in my plan. They could have informed me earlier.
I didnt want to pay 65 dollsrs more. So i exported my footag in hd. Just to try it out. And then lost my time prompting Underlord and being told what it cant do

Terrible, not just unhelpful but actually wasted so much of my time. The transcription engine is rubbish and needs correcting every few lines. Importing the original script so as not to have to spend hours correcting is also really unpredictable and awkward. The AI 'Underlord' doesn't even have accurate product descriptions to work from. It told me I could use something called 'Script Sync' but couldnt say where it was. After about 15 mins of not being able to find it, I asked ChatGPT for the most up to date documentation. Turns out Script Sync doesnt exists. I asked 'Underlord' again and it confirmed it didnt exist. You couldnt make it up. I'm so annoyed. I've literally spent 4hrs on an editing job that should have taken 30mins max. Stay away. It's a con.

Descript is just brilliant!
You don't have to have software knowledge to use and if you are stuck, they are there to help.
It is constantly being updated and growing.
If I have a creative idea, it's not long after with using Descript that it is up and running.

What a nice way to give us the feedback needed for our stories. Quick and accurate I just love it.

I was really excited to try Descript’s new AI Video Maker, especially with the ChatGPT integration — but the experience has been awful.
• The ChatGPT + Descript connection didn’t work. Project links never came through, so I had to cobble things together manually.
• Videos were way too short (5 seconds) with no proper pacing or syncing to the narration.
• Inside the app itself, I got black screens before the AI video even started, and the looping transitions were abrupt and horrible.
• Instead of saving me time, the tool wasted hours.

I continued my membership because I thought this would be game-changing, but it’s clunky, unreliable, and absolutely not ready. I’m now considering asking for a refund and moving to another program.

Don’t buy into the hype — this tool is underdeveloped and overpromised.
