ring, don't email!

first off, the actual thing i ordered, magnetic tiles to add to a part set my child already has, is great. simple, but lending itself to intelligent, creative play, perfect toy for a young child.
my problems arose during delivery. DDs website uses a bit of mildly annoying software thats pretty widespread now, which lets you type in your address, then when you put in the postcode, deletes the first line, to leave the whole area that postcode covers. on this occasion i didn't notice, & nor did anyone else, so my parcel came out with just my name & the street name. came via amazon, which i wouldn't use knowingly on principle rather than because i don't think they're good at it, & they seem to have simply picked a house at random, taken a close up photo of the parcel at its back door, & gone, sending me a 'we've just delivered your parcel' message.
this fairly simple problem escalated because DD simply didn't respond to my messages on the subject. 3 emails over a couple of days to the 'sales' address they used to confirm the order, another to 'sales' & 'help' which bounced because 'recipients inbox might be full, or they may have set up an incorrect forwarding address', then a message via the website contact form, which said it had been received & would be answered soon, but wasn't. in the end, & without much hope, i phoned, & quickly got through to a real live human being, who looked without success for any of my messages, then chased up the couriers, ascertained that they didn't know where they'd left the parcel, & arranged me a replacement. so all fine in the end, but more faff than you'd hope for along the way.
notwithstanding the shonky comms, i suggest that courier firms in general could generate much goodwill & avoid trouble if they'd simply photo the front door as well. what use is a picture of a back door? if you've got the parcel, you don't need it, if you've not, its not your door & you probably don't recognise it, hence the constant, forlorn 'anyone recognise this door?' posts on local social media. all it does is prove the driver has been to a house somewhere rather than just thrown it in a pond- a low bar. with a front door pic, i'd have happily walked down the street for 20 mins, spotted the place & retrieved the parcel a week ago. just an idea..

annoyed

Order took longer than i thought and when it did arrive i had ordered glue which opened in transit and covered the other items . so don't think i would order with the company again

Brilliant keep fit and parts dept.

I bought a Hula hoop from another company, shamed to say there were not enough links to go around my waist. Looked up the website that distribute the said hoop to find they supply the extra links. Very cool price so I ordered 3. Paying for them was easy online and they arrived within 48 hours. Well packaged. I would use Desire Deluxe again.

Not received the item - update

Not received the item. Item marked as dispatched from the supplier but courier tracking number says they are awaiting to receive the parcel from the supplier. So suspect theft/fraud/scam.

Update - customer support sending a replacement, so fingers crossed the replacement arrives for Christmas

Incorrect order received and no response as to how to return this order and get what I actually ordered in time for Christmas!!! I’m out of pocket and my son is going to be so disappointed that he hasn’t got what he asked for :-(. I have emailed several times and contacted on Messenger and Facebook but not resolved as yet…

Super service

It’s the first time I have ordered. The item was a really good price ( cheaper than Amazon) with no added postage charges. It arrived within 2 days in perfect condition.
