From November 2022 to March 28, 2024, Sandy has been an absolute delight to work with. Melissa was supportive and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. We originally had dates lined up with one resort but that resort last minute fell through on signing the contract and Melissa worked quickly to get us another resort and date that worked for us. Thank you Melissa!

We have worked with Amy Boyce on several trips in the past, including 2upcoming vacations, she is knowledgeable, helpful, and very patient with my many, many questions. She communicates well and gets back to me immediately. I have referred her to many friends and will continue to do so.

We decided to do a destination wedding at the Finest Playa Mujeres- while the resort itself is beautiful they were difficult to communicate with. I really appreciated Carol's tenacity and work in dealing with the resort so I didn't have to. All our guests got there smoothly and loved their stay.

On sept of 2022, I received an email from Destination
weddings regarding booking a room for my friend Sam and
Malysas wedding. Oct 2022, I had emailed Karen
Vanwesten to let her know that we needed a room for my
family of 5, and the the bride had mentioned the rooms
were almost sold out. Karen asked for our names and DOB.
I had asked her what our options were to stay together in
one room. October 21, 2022: Karen emailed me stating she
would check if we can all be in one room together. Then
SHE put the room request for me, which I thought she did
correctly When we checked in on Feb 21, 2024- we had
TWO junior suites- the photo and reservation said ONE. I
never chose the room or saw the options to do so... My
friends and brother paid less than half!! She scammed me,
never was clear on what type of room we had and the reservation and photo she sent was ONE ROOM, ONE
JUNIOR SUITE and we had TWO! I even had asked her for the room details and she never responded. After traveling and resting on the day of arrival,
I had emailed Karen the next day because the hotel said
they couldn't release our other room, she had to I emailed
her on Feb 22, 2024 expressing our concern for having
double the space we were originally booked for and my
kids having a separate bedroom in a foreign country. It was
never explicit or offered for me an option to make the best
choice regarding our room selection- we had family there
that we could have added my 3rd child to She wrote back
the picture of the room and said she couldn't do anything
(again that picture is ONE ROOM, we had TWO) She said I
""requested" such, as I did not, she chose it for us She
scammed us out of a lot of money I could have saved We
paid double what our friends were paying and the hotel
doesn't charge per person as she did, its per room Booking
through a wedding agency is supposed to be a deal and
help you- we got scammed, lied to and overcharged by
thousands of dollars The manager also was zero help!!!! All
screen shots attached Ripped Off by company- without
clear guidance or package details.
Then a couple days ago I also got a replay stating that the "reservation clearly stated connecting rooms" which is a complete lie. It is sad that you put trust into a company to do the right thing as you are attending a wedding out of the country and it is supposed to be a happy time, but they do not care. Upon reading other reviews, it is clear that MANY people have had so many issues with this company, I am unsure why theknot.com is recommending them. I want to write this so hopefully others do not end up in the same position because they are disloyal and devious.

Hi Alysia, we regret to hear about the confusion surrounding your room. Unfortunately the chosen resort has a max occupancy of 4 per room and the only option for 5 people is the two-bedroom suite. We apologize if this was not explained thoroughly and will be speaking with Karen to rectify this for future communication. That is not an excuse.... and your "speaking to her" to prevent future events doesnt help my losing thousands of dollars
ONCE AGAIN WE HAD TWO ROOMS THAT WERE NOT CHOSEN BY US!!!!! How is this not getting through.... I do not understand. ALSO I would NEVER, EVER book a family and tell them its ONE junior suite and you get there and you actually have TWO OF THOSE!!! Your "max capacity" defense is also ridiculous. You need to tell persons booking what their options are for a family of 5 to have the best experience and to not overspend and be overcharged..... the clarity just isnt there.... and it was asked for. THE PHOTO SHOWS ONE JUNIOR SUITE AND WE HAVE TWO OF THEM I guess I need to say it 8000 times until it actually processes. I could have taken two of the rooms my friends had booked and it would accommodate my family AND also have saved me money... all your company and her cares about is overcharging people and making money .... and you still cannot address the basic principles of this complaint

Mindi Phillips was so great in helping us with our destination wedding. I highly recommend destination weddings and Mindi herself to help out with planning your destination wedding. She made have a wedding so much easier, she helped manage family, our resort stay, and planning out every step of our wedding the stay while we were there. All things which can be over whelming to think about when planning. 5 stars for Mindi and the Azul beach team.

We have been fortunate to have had Shelley Keeney as our travel consultant for over twenty years and during that time she has never failed to be extremely efficient, taking care of any and every detail necessary to arrange our many vacations. If you want an extremely competent, courteous, and friendly travel adviser, Shelley is the person for you.

Amy is always there every step of the way. What ever we ask for she goes above and beyond to help us out.

I was invited to a destination wedding which is a new experience for me and to be honest I was a bit nervous about the whole process. The travel specialist handling this wedding is Amy Boyce with destinationweddings.com. As soon as I started going through the link to the event, I was immediately met with a personal letter from Amy describing the process step by step which set me at ease and got me started. I was still wary because this is several months away and a fairly expensive trip. I went ahead with the reservation and held my breath. The following day Amy didn't just email me regarding the progress of my reservation and my room selection availability; she actually called me. I had so many questions and concerns and she addressed each and every one of them. She has continued to stay in touch and we have spoken, texted and emailed a half dozen times because she is trying to make sure I have a perfect experience going someplace site unseen. I can't tell you how her kind disposition, willingness to take her time with me and availability have made me even more excited than I thought possible about this trip. She is amazing and if you have the pleasure of working with her, you will not be disappointed.

Our experience with Tiffany Dana, truly was wonderful. From helping us pick out a resort in Mexico for our wedding to assisting us with travel and our guests rooms, her assistance made the experience seamless. We knew we could rely on her for any hiccups we experienced along the way. Would definitely recommend planning your destination wedding through this website and if you can get Tiffany as your coordinator, truly even better! Thank you again, the outcome of our wedding was beautiful.

From the first meeting with our Destinations Wedding planner, Goga Piercey, to discuss our daughter's wedding, I felt as though we were in capable hands. She was respectful, friendly, and quick to answer any and all questions we threw at her, throughout the 10 months from booking until wedding. The monthly travel installments made it much more convenient for our guests to budget to join us, and as far as I know, there were no surprises with the payments. We did have one couple decide to join us later, and they were able to find cheaper arrangements, but we were told this at the beginning of our planning, and that it could also have been more expensive to opt not to go with the group arrangements. I believe Goga was responsive to all inquiries from everyone on our guest list, which increased everyone's comfort level with the arrangements, and their first time dealing with a destination wedding. I will be writing a separate review for the Sandos Caracol Eco Resort in the Mayan Riviera and their wedding planner, which will outline how every possible detail was handled professionally and that the wedding itself went without a hitch, and so greatly exceeded our expectations for a magical day. Definitely, Destinations Wedding have chosen well when they chose this resort to be a part of their world wide locations :)

Our experience with Andrea Coots at DW was truly the best!! From the time she was assigned to us, until we arrived back from our honeymoon, she was very responsive, informative and made our overall planning experience great.

My husband and I were indecisive on literally everything. We initially reached out as we were interested in a destination wedding, which we later opted against for family/health reasons. Andrea was very understanding and then began helping us plan our honeymoon, which took a while to decide on. She always responded quickly with information and answered our many questions so kindly.

The resort we ultimately went with (El Dorado Royal in Riviera Maya) was incredible and we are so glad we went through DW to book everything. They can set up (price-saving) bundles for **exclusive direct** flights, hotel and reliable transportation to/from destination so that everything is taken care of. My husband and I were able to focus on each other and enjoying our trip, rather than be worried we forgot to plan for something.

We will definitely come back for future travels!

Melissa Marienau was absolutely fantastic to work with! She guided us through the process to help find our perfect resort and was so patient and responsive with the millions of questions we had!

Amy Cate was absolutely amazing to work with! She made the entire process so easy and flawless. She was so responsive and helpful. After our initial conversation, it was obvious to me that she was the girl I wanted to work with. She knows her stuff through and through. I will recommend her to every single bride I meet in the future.

We went to Punta Cunta for our friend’s wedding. When we got into Punta Canta and we were trying to figure out transportation, we struggled for at least an hour to find someone. Mimi was no help and did not provide us with much information. Our biggest issues were the lack of communication for transportation to and from the airport. When we were trying to setup our transportation the night before (as it suggested you do), no one was in and could not set it up (it was about 4pm). So we got up to take care of it in the morning (8am), they told us we would be leaving at 12:45pm. 11am comes and they are calling our room asking where we are that they are leaving. We explained to them what we were told, so they leave. 12:45pm comes around and they say we are not on their list. It was very frustrating but luckily, we vouched for ourself as well as other members of our group did too. But it should not be that difficult or stressful. Also, before our trip if I reached out to Mimi, she never responded. The resort was beautiful, the wedding was beautiful but the lack of communication was unreal. I know others in our group had similar issues with her as well.

Getting pricing to attend the wedding if you wanted something different then a standard room was time consuming. There was rooms listed on the Destination Website that were not offered by the resort and/or called something different. Seemed like they provided cookie cutter information. Micheal and Heather Whittle did little for us in answering questions.
We ended up contacting the resort ourselves to get answers and booking extra features the resort offered.
The Bride had family travelling from out of province to the departure airport. There was no assistance in offering multiple departure spots, and when the departure time of the flight changed the family members had to also make alternate arrangements to get to the departure city.
There were discrepancies with information that appeared on travel information. We had to ensure ourselves with the resort ourselves that the information was in fact correct.
Would not recommend. Agents seem to book the trip, send out cookie cutter emails and offer no personal attention to your big day.

After attending a destination wedding at Cancun for my daughter and what was promised to them and all, IT WAS A PURE SHAM!!!!!!

Believe me as the father of the bride, it was HORRIBLE and guests, children and pregnant ladies were ripped off with NO food and NO cocktails and there was NEVER any accountability or directions for the guests!!

The 130+ pistols that attended this wedding was very upset and anger for this was PURELY A SHAM!!!

A very good part of the guests are going to fight the charges with the credit card company they used to fund this trip!!!!

Cocktail hours was the biggest rip off along with the promised liquor!

At the wedding there was no drinks like a BASIC Pina colada! Their excuse? The didn’t a blender!!!!!

Unbelievable and repulsive is who these people are!!!

Guests and the bride and groom took pictures and videos of what was a JOKE!!!

A sick joke and a SHAM!!!!

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, YOU WILL REGRET IT!
