Don't waste your money with this…

Don't waste your money with this company. Their products are overpriced and the customer service is awful. They charge exorbitant prices and charge a lot for shipping. My glass cleaner arrived and the box was so damaged all of the chemical has spilled out of the bottle. My postman had to leave the package in a plastic postal bin since it was leaking so badly. I contacted customer service (it's a stretch to even call it a service) and they said I had to file a claim with Monk Protect which is some third party insurer. So stupid that I had to waste my time to file this claim when they charged me a lot for shipping but then used a cheap shipping service. So they are making money on shipping. I filed the claim but it's been over a week and I still haven't received my replacement package. We shall see. But DO NOT waste your money with this company. It's a sham!

Detail Geek is UNRESPONSIVE to customers!

This company, Detail Geek operates in Canada. They have a You Tube channel. However, they shipped my package from San Bernardino, California.
Details of my experience.
I bought my items through a sale. It was in Canadian dollars. Which is about 35 cents +/- in US dollars. Meaning the US Dollar is worth about 1.35 Canadian, at that time. I thought the price would be adjusted before it cleared my bank. I also felt the shipping, 20.00 was a bit high.
When I saw that the money was NOT corrected, I contacted them. This is where the problems began. I will give the basic facts.
They refused to make any changes. Telling me I was wrong. I sent photos of the bill, and reminded them of the currency difference. They denied that, and said it WAS adjusted. Again, I explained the issue, and showed them what THEY charged, and what the converted prices would be had it been converted. As the conversation rate showed on-line at a conversion website.
Again, they denied the evidence. Instead, they blamed the conversion rate, saying it was wrong. Granted, it could be a few cents off, but it was absolutely close to what II listed. I KNOW this, as I have traveled from the USA, to Canada about 8 times in 2-3 years, and EVERY TIME, I converted my money to Canadian currency. It was ALWAYS at a minimum 25-30cents more. I explained this experience.
Next they blamed it on Shopify. Telling me, THEY handle that. I asked each step of the way for them to prove it, and/or to have Shopify contact me. They simply ignored those requests.
Then they wanted ME to take pictures of THEIR website check out page, AND the sale pages. Of course I hadn't done that at the time I purchased the products, because I trusted them, and I certainly could NOT when asked to, because the sale was weeks before. Wouldn't THEY have that information?
It is important to note that THEY only emailed ME a couple times, where as I was emailing THEM far more frequently, trying to resolve the issue. I was polite, and business-like.
They NEVER offered ANY options to me, to resolve the issues.
They asked ME for proof of things, even of THEIR OWN CLAIMS! THEY NEVER offered ANY proof to me, or any way I could get it, despite my REPEATED requests. They made all of their claims with ZERO evidence, yet I asked for it, repeatedly.
After about 2-3 MONTHS of me trying to resolve the issues, I decided to return the products. I did so in the original, unopened box it arrived in. This is where I realized they nearly double charged me (not accounting for the currency differences) for shipping.
I went to my local USPS, and asked them what to do. I was advised to return the box, to the same address it came from. San Bernardino, California. NOT CANADA. With proof of the shipment and tracking, I found that it was picked up IN PERSON at the destination post office, about 2 days later.
I waited another 3 weeks or MORE, for something from them acknowledging the return, and a refund. I NEVER heard from the company, NOR DID THEY REFUND MY PURCHASE.
So, I had to call my bank, explain the situation, give them the tracking number, and wait.
I STILL have not heard from Detail Geek, and the provisional credit via my bank is soon to be made permanent ...I hope.
