Able, friendly, enthusiastic. Good value, quick turn-round. Can-do guys who are demonstrably knowledgeable and highly competent. Identified issue ( Hope Mono Mini needed attention, disc warped) and sourced appropriate parts with sympathy to the heritage of classic (19yo) Orange E8. Would recommend highly to anyone who cares about their bikes.

I contacted Devil's Bykes about a steering issue with my bike just before a cycling holiday. I received an immediate response and my bike was repaired the next day. Matt is a lovely guy and offers a very professional and reasonably priced service. Will definitely use again and would highly recommend.

Brilliant service - used a number of brighton bike shops and they all do a good job. However you don’t get the attention to detail that you get from Matt. Full service for £60 is really good value

Excellent friendly helpful bike mechanic. Matt really helped to save my very tatty old mountain bike that I love ( safer riding a tatty bike with the amount of thefts these days in Brighton !!) He replaced the chain, the sprockets, the cables and gave the bike a service for a VERY reasonable price. It is now rides like new but obviously still looks tatty !! Result ! 😁👍 I will be back .

I stopped by Devils Bykes cycle repairs on the off chance that I might be able to buy a second-hand bicycle there, as an 18th birthday present for my son. As luck would have it Matt had the ideal bicycle with a Cannondale frame, that he was just reconditioning for sale. Matt was super helpful and friendly and he kept in touch by text, coming back to me later that day with a price and then letting me know a couple of days later that the bike was ready for me to see. I was really pleased, he had obviously put a lot of care into getting the bike back into top condition and had replaced the saddle and handlebar grips and put on new tyres. The bike was excellent value and my son is delighted with it. It came with a three month guarantee and we will definitely be going back there in the future if we need it serviced. He also has a range of bike parts and accessories for sale.

Fantastic ! My very old and cheap bike that I love to keep that way (need to be stored outside ) was stuck in the same gear for a month. Matt fixed it in one day, fixed the brakes as well and I am extremely happy with the service and result. Cheaper than what I was quoted at 2 big names cycle shops and so much. Water to give money to our local community hard workers 😊 highly highly recommend.

Had my rear suspension squeak identified and internally oiled, serviced my brakes (improvement noticed), relubricated my chain. Matt was helpful explaining possible remedies for ageing parts that might become problems in future. Reasonable price, friendly - you felt you could ask anything related. This was for my town bike, not a big-name brand. I've ridden it three times before writing this review and I will recommend to friends.

I attended Matt’s 2 day bike maintenance course, which I highly recommend. Matt combines passion and expertise with a love of sharing knowledge that made for a course full of insight and learning through demos and hands-on practice. He had a clear and full curriculum in mind, but also with the flexibility to adapt to questions & interests - much tested across the 2 days! The course is at his well-equipped workshop in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. We felt very welcomed to his home and looked after.
I finished the course feeling I’d learnt loads, despite having many years of messing with bikes, and much more confident of dealing with the explosion of options in modern bikes.
