Staff are well organised getting vehicles on/off. Ship is well kept, lots of seating inside. We got fish and chips and it was overpriced and had clearly been lying a while which is why I’ve not given 5 stars. Also the staff came to clean the tables while we were still sitting at it. They should have waited until people leave a table.

Ships are cleaner and tidier than the competition with better food. While our sailing was cancelled another was provided and when we turned up earlier than scheduled we were able to get on an earlier ferry with no additional fees. Staff at port were also cheerful and welcoming. This is why we continue to choose DFDS over cheaper alternatives.

DFDS how disappointing is your care for families with children. My whole family and many friends used your service for 15+ years but never again.
We spend 1000’s pounds at duty free shop…How is it possible you do not protect individual customers?
Your service is not cheap BTW.
If you accept busses full of teenagers you should make sure responsible adults/ teachers keep their behaviour under control.
Last week we traveled with 5 months old baby. Normally we would book premium lodge if it is available but it was not unfortunately.
It would not be the problem however this time it made huge difference.
We have been surrounded by teenagers which did not care at all….they been extremely noisy and care less.
Children are children and it is fine but not if they do use same service as adults and baby’s and they acting like animals.
We are all at the boat there is nowhere to escape!
I personally spoke with teacher who pretend not to be with those children even they did on the end.
Spoke to your staff asking where is your family spacious rooms claiming on your website just to be told there are non.
I walk around to find if there is quiet space there was not. My daughter was screaming, distress.
The worst was just to come 2hours later…
Our daughter was screaming for hours, stressed and could not control her mind.
I never felt so powerless.
So, protect your individual customers!!!
I will make sure I share my experience with as many as possible people with children I know!

Customer facing crew are lovely and very professional.Only minor complaint as a motor cyclist twice now in a row we have been put at the back of the ship behind the lorries .So when we are told to ride off we are riding alongside moving lorries both sides and it does make me nervous as we are quite vulnerable, so far the lorry drivers have been very good and have seen us and let us move out of the way .I can understand it is a problem when lots of bike on there but both time there was only 3 bikes on the ship.

The behavour of all the staf was very pleasant. From check in to leaving the boat. The chairs in the restaurant are a bit worn but still setting comfortable. The boat was clean. One toilet was flooder, but shit happens. The boattrip was in time.

Quality of experience and customer care with attention to detail.
On this occasion the Port Manager (Newcastle) was very helpful resolving an issue with our passports, The staff on duty at the check in made some errors interpreting the valid PP dates but the manager gave a precise interpretation and resolved the problem

Had a really good experience on the ferry. The cabin was comfortable, everything was clean and well organized, and the overnight journey was smooth and relaxing. Traveling with our dog was much easier than expected — the pet-friendly facilities were great and the staff were kind and helpful. Overall, a very convenient and pleasant way to travel.

Great trip from Dunkirk to Dover. Left on time and enjoyed the Premier Lounge. Very relaxing with good choice of food and drinks with helpful and friendly staff.

Our return ship had a room with a faulty airco, was quickly handled by the guest service
What we did not like was the explicit question of the waiter to tip him, after bringing 2 drinks after 15 min

The staff on the tri out were wonderful and made the trip special. On the way back just one staff member made my daughter feel bad because she asked if she could get some fruit and veg for her daughter. She wanted to pay so she wasn't trying to get something for nothing. All other aspects of the trip were excellent and we will certainly travel this way again
