Worst service provider in Estonia
Dear DHL, are you deliberately aiming for the title of the worst delivery company? If so, congratulations -- you've succeeded amicably. Using your services in order to retrieve any information about the return of a package is like writing a plot for a new Jigsaw movie. Trying to get help in the GHL office in Tallinn is most likely mentioned among the worst torture methods in history: excruciatingly poor customer service, no coherence between multiple people spoken to about a very simple and easily solvable issue, which I also explained multiple times.

Today my son has been sent a second letter from DHL trying to reclaim charges they have supposedly paid for duty and import. I am very unhappy with this company - firstly, the person who sent over the gifts he had been bought in the USA had already paid extortionate shipping costs of over $500 to ship what were his own goods to follow him back to England after stying with a family in the US. Two items, he had already owned for 5 years! (I'm sorry, the receipts are long gone!) The letter arrived 6 days after it was posted, so have had 1 day to pay. The items listed were for 19 boxes of candy canes he never had, but worse than that, the express delivery went via China and then Berlin, and arrived in March after being posted in January. Some express delivery!!! The packages were also wet and squashed. The sender tried multiple times to contact DHL, with little success, and I have had no response to my query I made in March. DHL have paid the Duty, without his consent or knowledge - certainly not due to it being an express service, as I don't call 3 months express. I think DHL could offer a compromise and reduce this bill in compensation for the poor communication and poor service. I would never use them again, neither would my American friends. I intend to pop this on social media, to ensure that other people do not use DHL and experience this same poor communication, service and treatment. In the way they work, I could ship 1 hundred boxes over to a stranger and then the stranger would get a surprise charge from DHL that they have supposedly paid to customs...
I WOULD LIKE TO ADD AN EDIT to say my faith is now restored and DHL have resolved the issue, so I have now updated to 2 stars following their help last night.

No amount of negative stars will do it. Their tracking wasn't working for one of my packages so I emailed them about it. I got a cut and paste email back, basically telling me to suck it up.
Their tracking updates are also terrible. I just got a delivered message 9 hours after the fact
Delayed parcel, no customer service
My parcel (urgent, containing meds) was due yesterday and I have still not received any emails or texts from DHL. The "estimated delivery date" on the tracking page (which I can only access because the sender gave me the code) has changed from yesterday to 'unknown'.
Because there is no phone number on the website I just spent 45 minutes on Chat trying to talk to a customer service representative, and getting disconnected repeatedly mid chat and sent back to the Bot.
The conversations went like this...
Me: Hello?
Me: Hello?
Me: I've been waiting for a reply for 10 mins and before that was disconnected twice. Please can you help?
Sales Assistant: I hope I was able to help you today. If you need any further assistance let us know!

I am very unimpressed by DHL, and I hope I never have to use them again.
Outdated Business Model
So DHL automated message hit me up to pay Duties for the package that I’m waiting for. I pay for them as soon as I saw it. When I had made the payment on PayPal, the page hung for quite sometime and prompted that the payment failed.
Then my phone got a notification that my PayPal got charged regardless of it failing on their end.
I end up contacting DHL Express live chat and the person at the other end told me to wait within 4 hours minimum and if the payment still doesn’t confirm then to reach back.
I end up contacting back as I got another text to pay duties. I went back to the live chat to ask if I can get a refund for the first charge and told me to phone their accountant team.
I called the number to be greeted a 2 hour waiting line to even talk to someone. What the hell DHL?
I had claimed a dispute on my first charge so their accountants team can see without me having to waste my time waiting in a phone call for someone to help me. This is 2022 not 2002, make your live chat support more valuable to your clients.
Other than this incident, they’ve been quick on deliveries.
I am highly upset
I am highly upset, that dhl has delivered my package to wrong address, and they're making me wait 2 days to even try and recover my package. The right thing to do is act on it now if you did care for your customers. This package was delivered a day ago and was for my business which I have a due date to present what's in the package. I will never use them again, and I would not recommend anyone else to do so!

My daughter sent a document to me which was very important for us.
DHL delivered in no time, took them a couple of days only.

DHL Express to New Zealand, not.....
DHL Express to New Zealand. Dropped off with DHL and it then took, wait for it, 14 days to get to Schiphol, miss two flights because of "overload" and get to Dubai. I can drive to Schiphol in 30 mins from home. Due to arrive in Auckland 17 days after drop off. It would be laughable if it wasn't so serious. Only positive point is customer help line in NL. They get five stars, the rest get zero. Never again.
Do NOT Pay CASH for delivery, Dishonest Drivers
I paid cash for a delivery, the delivery guy said he was out of paper for receipts after I handed him the money, so he just handed me the package and just left. I didn't think much of it, but in fact he did not report that the package was paid!!! And then DHL took 6 months to tell me and then requested further payment. Based on principle, I shouldn't have to pay TWICE!?!
But it is their big corporate bully character to push around their small clients and not investigate issues properly. Am I going to spend 5,000 CHF for a lawyer and tribunal and extra time for a 50CHF charge? If I wasn't working 60h a week, sure. But they bank on it and continue to bully little people and fail to conduct themselves as a business should. This is dishonest and theft, in fact!
1. NEVER EVER use DHL! A shark of a company who has NO Care for their clients at ALL.
2. No matter how much you want the delivery, do not give cash until the delivery driver confirms that he has receipt paper, otherwise DO NOT pay him. Wait for the next driver or pick it up instead.

Bad, disappointing and disrespectful service
I lost my suitcase and the airport authorities decided to send it back to me after being found through DHL. What a bad choice It took 2 months from the date of loss to arrival.Tones of emails, correspondence with different people, departments filling invoices, authorisations and declarations plus other additional documents. I have over 10 e-mails over my lost hand luggage with used items for which I had to provide prices etc. The worst is they are not able to ask for all the information at once but from different mails, departments and people. When you think it's all done and correct, No something else missing. Without saying more ..dear DHL you really have to do better, your customer service is not worth even 1 star..

Ordered a parcel, it cost me 99 euros, yet DHL asked me to pay a 71 euros of tax on it as they had calculated that my parcel cost me 170 euros. Not sure what exchange rate they had used but when I had told them that I can show the bank statement and that there is no chance that it cost me 170 euros, they said that they can re-calculate for me, but it will cost me 50 euros administration fee. What a joke. Had to pay 71 euros tax for 99 euros parcel.. 70% tax! Plus super useless on the phone. 50 euros to re-calculate their own mess is a non-sense.

Tried sending a document to Spain
Tried sending a document to Spain. Paid 4 times and it didn't process it online. Webchat support is basically a glorified switchboard and can't help you. A manager arranged the refunds and advised the document would be collected the next day. Not done even after an email confirmation email was received. Then passed from pillar to post customer services to online support after being told by each department it was the other departments job to do. A driver is due to be arriving to collect a parcel but I still can't print off documents for it to be sent. I have ZERO faith in this company and it is the first and last time I use them. Avoid like a plague! The processes are all over the place but to make it worse the frontline staff are clueless.
UPDATE:
The document was collected on the Friday but then sent back to the collection address as the depot did not have a clue what to do with it even though instructions had been passed to them.
This company are a waste of oxygen from start to finish!
Worst damn service ever
Worst damn service ever! I’ve been waiting 10 days for my parcel and since the 7th of march it only moved from two cities im Germany!!!! I’m from Portugal! I get stuff from Sweden in less than 10 days but it doesn't come by dhl otherwise it would take a month!! It’s is now march 17 and my package is hasn’t even left Germany it’s been there for ten damn days and only moved from one city to another! Great service without doubt! Every online purchase I make goes well except when the stores use dhl. If I can chose a transporter you can believe me it won’t be dhl. Not worth the price people pay and sincerely with such a bad service it makes no sense using it or existing

I have been waiting for 4 days for my package and was so excited when I finally checked and it said my package arrived. Not to me, to someone else and I received no call, nothing, they just handed my parcel to a total stranger. No phone call to ask me if they can hand it over to the stranger nothing.
Very disappointed however the lady from support was very nice and reassuring. And all her efforts would be for nothing if this issue doesn't get sorted.

I don't want to give them a star at all. They LOST my package in Canada and are investigating where it is for a week and still no clue. They need to hire smarter delivery person who can read address correctly. The delivery person dropped my package off to somewhere in strange place and they have no clue. The package's value was over 500 CAD but they don't have any responsibility and carefulness. In the future, if my shipper was using DHL, I wouldn't buy anything from them because I don't trust DHL at all. They ruin my vacation and gave me a lots of stress.

If I had a dollar for every minute I spend waiting to speak to an "International specialist" I would be a very rich person. It is unacceptable to make clients wait over 40 minutes to speak to someone.
