DHL Express from Toronto (Canada) to New York City (USA). I missed my flight because they couldn't deliver my Travel document on time even though I paid for "Express". ABSOLUTELY UNRELIABLE. As I'm writing this review, I'm stuck in a country and can't travel back home. They still haven't delivered the document...

Go with FedEx.

DHL will make your situation a nightmare.

Slow and really expensive! My parcel takes 1 week to arrive from France in Pacific island and they take another 1 week to clear it through customs. They charge me 38€ ... Don't use it! It's a trap!

The KYC ( KNOW YOUR CUSTOMER) process is the biggest nightmare.

Received a shipment via DHL, had contact with their customer service department regarding digital invoicing. No invoices there and neither did I ever receive any physical invoices via post.

Then 1 month later I receive a collection letter from a debt collector for supposed DHL invoices. Called DHL but they refuse to give me any information since it's already in the hands of the debt collection agency. Subsequently the debt collector only says that both an invoice and reminder have been sent by post (both never received but we did receive the debt collection letter within 2 days, quite the coincidence) and there is nothing else they can do.

I guess this was the first and last time DHL Express for me and although my experiences with UPS haven't been amazing either, they were 10x better than these extremely customer unfriendly (bordering fraud) business practices.

Never using this garbage service again.

An "express" item was held between Poland and Dubai with ZERO communication that it was due to my MISSING SURNAME. I had to jump through hoops just to contact the correct customer service representative for them to add my surname to the order. ONLY THEN WILL IT TAKE ANOTHER 48 HOURS TO RELEASE IT, AND BECAUSE IT'S WEEKEND, THE HOURS ONLY START COUNTING FROM MONDAY.

Express? It is taking them more than a week to deliver a small packet from USA to Perú, the packet delivery expenses where prepaid but they charged me 10 USD for a good valued at 15 USD to "nationalise" it. Their progress monitor of the delivery sucks , it shows it is still in USA when in fact it went through customs in Perú. There was an estimated delivery date but it disappeared and now it says nothing. Totally useless , it is not the first time they ime, to be avoided at all costs

Terrible company terrible workers ignorant unethical not applying procedures simply lying that they delivered a package without ever coming to the address. Never trust anything you have with them. Shame on you DHL EXPRESS Boston Massachusetts.

You can't give 0 stars for this incompetent workers. For 3 days they are unable to find my appartment, and keep lying that I wasn't at home. I' ve lost 2 and a half days because of them.

Maybe you should find workers that recognize a door, not just a blanket posing as one.

Avoid them, or buying anything that is sent with them (of course, unless you can negotiate to receive it from their competition)

Honestly, it’s a surprise how this brand is still in business.

DHL Express run very very very poor services. Poor customer service, poor delivery service (They don’t put in any effort to deliver your item exceptionally).

I have used their service three times in the last 6 months and I ended up getting disappointed at all times. A delivery meant to be express, will take ages with little or no communication to you.

If you need to describe DHL Express, what is it? I would describe it as a bandit or a robber. Why?
My family in Hongkong sent me a Christmas present valued at 12 euros, 1 kg net weight, shipping cost approx. 50 euros, which is deducted by DHL Express directly after delivery of the parcel to Germany. And asked to pay 76€ tax, claimed to be collected by the customs, but in the parcel tracking shows that the customs has been cleared and delivered by DHL. But in fact, this fee is charged by DHL directly in the name of the Customs, the money will only be obtained by DHL, and has nothing to do with the Customs.

I would just give a suggestion to all of you thinking about paying for express deliveries overseas; don't. DHL will take your money, but they won't deliver on the service charged for. They don't pay their workers nearly enough, the workers are overwhelmed as is, and only getting more and more responsibilities to take care of, but nothing as an incentive to do that. In the end it is the service that suffers, and you, and I, are paying for the incompetence of those in charge.

Every single time I use express to receive my package sooner, it ends up being delivered later than the normal post. They are unbelievably useless! I will never get anything from DHL express ever again !
They either keep my shipment on hold for no reason because just my name is not European or something, I provide documents they keep my shipmen on hold for a week then release it opened and messed with !

I have ordered some PCBs from China and they are coming back with stupid questions about the content of the parcel although everything was perfectly declared in the delivery slip. Even worse, they have also asked me what I intend to do with these. I never ever had to declare something like that. One week earlier I have used FedEx with almost the same content. I had it withing 3 days while I'm waiting for 12 days with DHL Express.

Very very very bad Post service. My friend from Germany sent me some lab equipment secondhand I needed for my thesis (research ) Master applied science. I chose the DHL Express fast post, which should arrive within 2-3 days. cuz I am bonded by deadlines at university. I paid therefore €75 extra, to receive it very fast. ..But, what happened ...? My package was lost by DHL post, somewhere in Frankfurt ,.. days, they don't know where it's is ,...then finally , after one week they find it,..and sent it,.. after 14 days in total, I received it. ..!!! Of course ,it was too late, when it's was late, I already purchased new equipment ,paid lot of money , to finish my research ....Then, we called them, and ask them to refund our money (€75), because the package arrived very, very late.. They didn't respond , and sometimes they said it's difficult to refund you ,..and they made excuses to not pay my money back, that I paid extra for "fast delivery "..DHL are thieves, scam, mafia, like most global companies.. They don't care about your post if you are an individual like me. Never,Never use DHL. This was the first time I used DHL, and it's also now the last time. Mafia! Be aware people , don't fall in their trap. When you choose "fast service" and pay extra money (€75) , mistakes are not allowed then. If it's a regular post, then I will understand if it arrives couple of days later,..but when choosing the DHL Express , and you pay extra money , delays are not acceptable .And if something happens ,they should refund you the extra money you paid...But no, they don't ,..thieves !

DHL KENYA IS a fraud. Will not encourage anyone risk sending with them.

Avoid. The company hides behind "It's in customs review" and is rude to boot. Shyanne ( in DHL Express - would not give her employer ID number) simply closed my case. This is turning into one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a delivery company. My advice...if you hear DHL...run.

DHL in Norway enables signature-free delivery of packages to private homes. Nevertheless, almost each time we apply for it, it does not happen. E.g., the driver sends a message to us that we were not at home and he could not deliver the package...thus he had to deliver it at a service point in the downtown of Lillehammer. Although we were at home and he even did not need our signature, he was allowed to deliver the package at our main entrance. When we complain to the customer service, they just say that the drivers have got freedom to decide how to handle the deliveries. They are also often complaining about the weather conditions, that their cars are not able to drive on snow (in spite of that other people drive here without problems). However, their cars do not come to our place even during the summer, under nice conditions. It seems that DHL provides overestimated picture of their services, does not keep up with their promises.

Worst courier company. Has been harassing me since past 10 days. Still not delivered my parcel.
Not just that, the customer care person is most insulting when speaking with everytime they come up new issues with the document submitted. Nor do they let us speak directly with customs officer.
